Our d-line is way better. He'll get some pressure right in his face next week. The Moss kid had good pocket presence and made some savy moves in there. If we're able to get constant pressure, and a couple hard hits on him early we may be able to force a couple mistakes.
Well you can't undermine NE's dline either. Spellman (ODU commit) and Freshwater(every university in the east wants this kid) manning the DE spots make NE's dline more than legit. They will give SWE oline their biggest test of the season. It will be interesting to watch as the game goes on.

No doubt. They're damn good for sure. I think the survivor of this one will represent the East. I got nothing but respect for them. It's gonna come down to witch team takes care of the ball, and witch one can take advantage of individual matchups the best.

If SWE coaches check out some film on NE's best and worst games the gameplan to beat them will be very clear. Like you said it will come down to execution. NE is going to want to try to air it out against SWE. They will test SWE run defense early, if SWE shuts the run down look for them to find some cushions on curl routes and go routes in the SWE secondary. NE defense has had trouble sealing the edges in the run game if SWE RB's can find the edge early on it will be there all night.

I don't know anything bout the VA team. However the other teams you mention, only 2 are any good, and they beat y'all. RM and DHC are average and Rose is horrible. And Edenton is gonna get whipped by Tarboro, the team only team that beat us. My thoughts are, NE isn't quite as good as y'all thought they were gonna be this year, and SW is a little better than expected. Gonna be a good game, for sure. Last week don't count for nothing now.
Actually NE is better than we expected and next year it's on!!! We have almost everyone back and a top 150 rb otw.

SWE will roll, we are playing a 3rd string qb. Smh, just got the news.

I don’t follow CalPreps like I do Brian Simmons. Do they have a good track record?

Is your starting qb done? I gotta give a slight edge to swe. I think if Ne had their qb I'd give them the edge.

Is the 3rd string qb actually listed as a qb, or is he another position filling in as an emergency qb? I feel like if he's an actual qb, he must be OK if he made the team, and he'll have a full week to prepare specifically for us, instead of being thrown in mid game.

The QB at the helm for NE is 5'6" WR Hodge who was their best wideout till the starting QB was hurt. Hodge has gotten better every week and had a breakout game against SWO. The starter Proctor was lost in the Hertford County game and is expected to return anytime now. Their is alot of speculation it could be this week.

SWE is alot like Havelock. NE will find out pretty quickly if they learned anything from the Havelock game.

Got to be a transfer. I saw their JV play Tarboro earlier this year and they didn’t have anybody close to a top 150 back. They weren’t very good.
Alot of their sophmores and Freshman are on Varsity. They dont have many seniors or juniors. As far as the top 150 RB goes, it's still a rumor until he actually arrives.

The reason I asked if he's a transfer is because how do you determine a ranking of a player not on a varsity team yet? Do they actually rank jv players now?

Have to ask Goobs about that... I dont have any first hand knowledge of any of that. The player is not currently on ANY NE roster I can confirm that.

Gonna be a great game. I thin NE plays better on the road than home. Matter fact, I think they are 6-0 on the road. I hope all players for both teams will be healthy. If the starting qb for NE is back, I wouldn't start him unless I had no choice.

You are delusional. They are no where near Havelock. Obviously don’t know football
Great defense, great running game, and can pass when they need to? Please enlighten us and expand on your "feelins" how that is not how Havelock is? I can get as indepth as you like.....maybe you should lay on the couch as I get my notepad and tell me how you feel. Lol

Pretty sure he was talking about this year. Nobody in their right mind would say that the two compare historically. And nobody is saying that SWE would beat Havelock this year. I took it as him saying like a Havelock of 2A.

Bud,I think it will be Clinton vs SWE for Eastern championship. Played in Clinton. One heck of game.
Not a bad conclusion. I think when you get to this point in the playoffs it comes down to coaching and execution. By this time all these teams Clinton, West Craven, SWE, NE have been in so many different situations, the coaches know what they have, they know what their teams are best at and they know where their teams struggle. It just comes down to play calling, adjustments, and execution. A case can be made for any of those 4 teams to represent the east. West Craven has flew under the radar all season and is playing it's best right now. Clinton has been a frontrunner all season. SWE has a strong senior group that is the most experienced. NE is the most battle tested. There's going to be alot of questions answered Friday night. An exciting time to be a HS football fan.
