We played Carolina, and while it was super competitive, there was mutual respect. Same goes for watching basketball. To me, AFAM was a blip, and certainly not confined to UNC. I could tell you stories about the special treatment Duke jocks got back in the day, but what's the use? As for non-athlete fans, on both sides, that's a whole different kettle of fish.

Completely agree. I know plenty of Carolina fans that compliment Duke from time to time and it’s always the levelheaded ones. Heck I had 2 tell me they wanted Duke to win it all this last year

90% of Carolina players when they’re interviewed about Duke after their career say they don’t hate us and have respect. Heck Armando did a big interview and all but said he liked us.

Don’t get me wrong . I’ve had my share of altercations with UNC fans over the years who want to talk smack but can’t name their starting line up . Those are the ones who get crap started.

Carolina Sucks. Remember when their football team trashed our locker rooms in 2014?? Then, when we demanded they pay up for damages their AD Bubba Cunningham said we wanted too much???

Also 18 years of organized academic fraud for athletes is NOT "a blip." Dean Smith founded AFAM ("paper classes")in '93 for 4th grade reading level basketball players.Had UNC tutor Mary Willingham and history professor Jay Smith not exposed the system, I have no doubt AFAM would still be alive and kicking today.

As far as their fans, lets not fall in love. Most of them I know despise us, and I return their barbs squarely where it hurts.Unfortunately you have to in this state. Rant over, but boy that felt good!!! Lol.

Social media changes with the wind. We apparently led out of the gate when Stojakovic entered portal. On3.com and Jeff Goodman now have Illinois in the lead. 'Bama leads for the 6'-7" Cedric Coward.

I do predict we will sign the reclassifying Sebastian Wilkins, an inside-out three guy. He will be eligible for the upcoming season.

That’s incorrect, we were going to take Catchings or Stevenson & when Catchings didn’t meet his commitment window, Hubert pulled the plug & took Stevenson. We are no longer recruiting Catchings, & in fact, he committed to Georgia minutes after Hubert accepted Stevenson’s commitment.

While it might seem crazy, I would take him. He's decent and with the injuries, it would be great to have some depth at the center spot.

Although, I doubt he wants to be 3rd string.
