Another “road game”. Have to think team is tired. Hope they re energize for next week. I will be rooting my heart out but feel we lose by 10. I have been wrong before, happily.
They were playing on the road ,Sitting around didn't do Michigan State any good.
RU actually did fly back and forth. There is no issue, 3 days off and no major travel. I am 99% certain they stayed out in the Midwest after Tuesday night, instead of wasting valuable time flying back and forth. Most B1G teams are given one "back to back" road trip, to reduce travel/fatigue.....Maryland played a 9PM ET game at Minnesota this past Saturday night, before playing at Michigan State on Tuesday night at 9PM. There's no way Maryland would zig zag back and forth with a 3 day window of game days.
Illinois is defined more perimeter than the last couple of years when they had Kofi Cockburn. Stay with their shooters and make the guards beat us 1 on 1.

Even if they stayed out there sleeping in another bed can wear on you. They came back to NJ. Did not stay.
Best of Luck,

No effin way. I don’t think there is any way R Hoops stays in the MW for 3 whole days and nights, away from classes (I know there is Zoom) and their own beds, own practice facility, when it is Indiana and back. 2 hours tops. There is no issue, 3 days off and no major travel. Always a BIG conspiracy with you.So MSU got a week off to prepare for RU and then a home game after the Garden
Indiana got two home games in a row while RU traveled within 48 hours after Garden.
Illinois got two home games in a row and then when Minnesota canceled got seven days to prepare for Rutgers.
Rutgers got three games away from the RAC in a week. Traveled back and forth to Midwest twice in one week.
B1G Official claimed Rutgers game fit in game at Garden because “logistics” worked. B1G has Rutgers’ best interests at heart.
But I’m beating a dead horse. SMH.
Saw Wolf and Simpson at the womens game last night. There is no issue, 3 days off and no major travel. Well said. But I’m beating a dead horse.
Tired thing is overblown. They're 20 year olds who play 30 minutes every 4 days.Another “road game”. Have to think team is tired. Hope they re energize for next week. I will be rooting my heart out but feel we lose by 10. I have been wrong before, happily.
No Kofi has to make for a big game from Cliff.Hawk just making things up lol
Shannon is awesome I saw him in San Diego st the tournament last year too
I saw Illinois board talking about Hawkins potentially guarding Paul. If that's the case, I'm worried

These are kids who played 6 games over a single weekend at aau tourneys throughout high school
We overcame his loss in the the 2nd half at MSG. Definitely possibleWe need to show that the team can overcome the loss of Mag. Saturday afternoon would be a great time to start. Let’s win and move on to a more reasonable schedule. Starters need to lead the way and the bench will follow.
It’s far more mental than physical when you’re young specimens in superlative physical condition like college athletes.Fatigue is definitely a factor in basketball that affects performance. How much it affects the score can be debated. Pretending it has no effect is not logical imo.
Again, this is why I didn’t understand why some on this board laughed at Kevin Willard when he jumped all over B1G scheduling. What an absurd 8 days this was. And to top it off, our win against MSU was a “home win.” I can’t even tell you how pissed I am about this.So MSU got a week off to prepare for RU and then a home game after the Garden

Scheduling has a far greater impact on class work, practice time and winning on the road, than it does fatigue.Again, this is why I didn’t understand why some on this board laughed at Kevin Willard when he jumped all over B1G scheduling. Do you think it’s a factor in the big ten tournament when a team plays 3 days straight against a team that receives a double bye? I don’t disagree with what you said about mental versus physical but young or not I can’t wrap my head around no effect physically. It’s not logical to me.It’s far more mental than physical when you’re young specimens in superlative physical condition like college athletes.
No college basketball game should be decided by fatigue.
If the opposing team is deeper and able to substitute freely without much drop off in production…that’s a factor.
No legs is a completely collective old term that scientifically can’t be proven anymore than every player being in a shooting slump at the same time.
Aside from the MSU game, doesn't the schedule becomes fair at the end? All BIG teams play the same number of league games, the same number of home versus awaySo MSU got a week off to prepare for RU and then a home game after the Garden

If just for the hell of it, you made the double bye qualifying teams play 3 games in three days and gave double byes to the lower teams the results would be the same.Do you think it’s a factor in the big ten tournament when a team plays 3 days straight against a team that receives a double bye? In baseball, the team with the worst record has to play more series, wildcard etcDo you think it’s a factor in the big ten tournament when a team plays 3 days straight against a team that receives a double bye? Haha that was a little dodgy. All good and I agree most likely but it would be closer imo.I

I definitely believe the deeper teams have a great advantage though
Basketball and hockey are of course much different than baseball. In baseball, the team with the worst record has to play more series, wildcard etc
Versus the team that finished first. A common thing to give the better finished an advantage as a reward for their season
Maybe a bit worse scenario in basketball
Sure, but in all cases the worse finishers have a tougher road in the playoffs, with the big ten basketball tourney being very toughBasketball and hockey are of course much different than baseball.
Not when you experience the mental and physical grind of playing 140 games in 142 days in the minor leagues, 11 hour bus rides on buses with no air conditioning, literally flee bag hotels on 10 dollars a day meal money.Basketball and hockey are of course much different than baseball.
Go RU…Indiana plays at Michigan at 6pm. Both are tied with us at 8-5. If we want to stay tied for second, we need to beat Illinois.
