Horrible tonight with no adjustments. Don’t know why we didn’t go under more sceens when Jones had the ball. He’s not a shooter and it put us in bad help defense and we couldn’t recover to Houston or protect the rim. Very curious because Pike usually makes the right defensive adjustments. Not tonight

the disappointing thing is there was no adjustment made even though we continued to get burned and eventually Michigan got hot from 3

Exactly. Don’t keep giving them the same looks especially when they keep running the same thing and it’s working. To their credit , they kept going to the well and we didn’t adjust.

what is amazing is that you see a comparison of our offense vs theirs and how they constantly were either able to take it inside or swing it out for a 3 while RU would get in the paint and fail get double or triple team and not be able to swing it out. No flow, no purpose on offense

Yep. Right from the beginning few possessions too. Too mechanical and slow on offense even when Paul was in the game. We didn’t make their d move at all.

Michigan has more talented players that can create shots off the dribble and also make wide open 3 pointers .Its hard to explain the half court Rutgers offense .

its interesting that Martelli said they wanted to have a quick tempo, seemed like RU wanted to slow it down and we actually looked uncomfortable playing that way. There were times we purposely ran the shot clock down, I just do not get it

Yep. I noticed it right from the fist media timeout. Don’t underhand because we have been moving the ball with a purpose the last month ( even Purdue game). Our actions had been crisp and we flowed into pick and roll instead of plodding into it and into isos. I think we were definitely tired and losing Paul hurt too.

It wasn’t intentional. We were a step slow all around. Do you think the coaches said. Hey guys let’s stand around tonight and let the shot clock run down.

Dickinson did a very good job on defense. Took away the Paul to cliff game almost completely. Took away Paul's bully game.

On the other side, I just kept yelling " another ******* layup by Michigan". So frustrating.

Michigan pulled away ina series of plays where our guys got bumped on consecutive possessions with no calls and we lost composure and their guys made plays. Had zero to do with coaching adjustment blah blah.

Mag was either late on close-outs a few times and then also jumping out of position when he should just be playing straight up defense a couple of times.

The whole team was a step slow tonight on many plays. With that said, with a few stops and made shots we could have been right there.

Best of Luck,
Groz

That's on the coach pal just like it's on a CEO if his company performs like s***. What the truth hurts.
When the players play great at home you and all your Pike-eez praise the hell out of our leader. But when they continue to have no energy on the road and look like they'd rather be someplace else, that's on the players not on our 'esteemed' leader.... You are totally full of s*** and talking out of both sides of your mouth. At least my message is consistent.

Do any of you guys own a successful company... obviously not as you have the mentality of someone that works for someone and is satisfied with some good and a bunch of subpar and poor performances. If you were successful entrepreneurs or corporate executives you would understand that the buck stops with the CEO and always will whether it be in business or sports.

How f****** dumb are you guys... What is Pike the Teflon Don. The team sucked tonight in an extremely important game and that's on the coach and always will be, win lose or draw
What do you hope to accomplish with your endless campaign of shitposting? After a recent loss you spent a night just quoting every anti-Pike post and replying +10000 like some kind of mentally challenged five year old.

Ah yes, the tried and true corporate governance practice of… firing the CEO every time the stock goes down? Lol

And you see Pike as untouchable, which is a f****** joke. He's a decent coach seems like a heck of a nice guy and is a s***** recruiter. They're freshmen lit up our very experienced team in an extremely important game. And we have no studs coming off the bench.... That's on Pike.

What? Do? You? Want? To? Do? About? It?

Do you actually think it is appropriate to fire Pike after this season? Are you just looking for someone to hold your hand and assure you that we in fact know that Steve Pikiell is not actually the second coming of Jesus Christ?

Would you buy a stock that's as volatile as our team is this year, which is the most experienced team with the best chemistry that Pike has ever had..... Yes or no pal.
Uh, depends on the price obviously? You are lecturing me on how corporations work lol

Many of you think he is when we went at home with an incredible home court advantage. What I want him to do is recruit better.... Like we all should want him to do
