1st time seeing them in person. A few observations

1 Do we have strength and conditioning. Completely manhandled and backed down to the basket again and again. They grabbed balls like men and we poked at them. Pushed us away from the basket again with ease.
2 Back to dribbling and dribbling to nowhere. Heads down not looking for teammates.
3 Slow defenders beat off the dribble with ease
4 Cliff's hands need a lot of work. Faith he will get there
5 Reiber...sorry...not b10 player still...not close. Slow and weak
6. Palmquist see #5
7. Mag needs his teeth back cuz he would have helped
8 Crowd a complete non factor...nothing... easy place to play...and we play like we r scared
9 If u can't win at Penn state ur in trouble
10 Harrar is just solid...not flashy but does a lot of things right
11 Defending the 3 hasn't been taught yet.
12 Free throws many not even close.

Bottom line I hate to doubt Pike, but without major influx of transfer talent, next year will be abysmal. We r not an ncaa team...just not. Way too many bad habits.

Why do you hate to doubt Pike....he's the captain of this ship...he's responsible..good, bad or ugly.

Ur acting as if one bad road loss at PSU means our ship sinks. It hasn’t sunk yet. But could. Unless drastic changes are made. I realize now that ur one of the “Fire Pike” posters. And that’s fine. Everyone has their opinions. But let’s just see what happens before jumping to conclusions or off the plank. Let’s move on and worry about Maryland and hopefully we can dominate them and win the next two winnable road games with a steal win at a tougher away game. And I’m not disagreeing with what the op said. I’m just disagreeing with the negativity that everything over. It’s not. There’s still many games yet to play.

Ya that was super encouraging, especially coming off his last game.

He had a nice little move on the block in the 2nd half but didnt finish. Think they went back to him there not long after, though I forget the results.

Not sure why he only got 6 minutes, while Palm's got 12.

We aren’t back to that team unless it becomes a trend. One game is not a trend even though we suck on the road and played awful. If we beat Maryland on Saturday are we back to that team? If we lose and look pathetic again I’ll agree with you.

Just another in a long line of over-reactive posts on this message board. Let me simplify - we were flat and shot horribly. End of story. When we kick that same teams *** later in the year are your "points" all going to apply to PSU. Of course not and you probably wont even post.

I'm not even sure they were flat, they just missed shots, and thus looked flat.

OP is a closet Penn State fan and probably only watches Rutgers when we play them and sits behind the bench each year.

To be fair most of his points were valid though.

We need to figure out to be average on the road and win 3-4 road games a year. Again we weren’t good at home a few years ago either so hopefully he’ll get that figured out too soon.

I mentioned this early in the yr. It's obvious are players don't put real work in the weight room. Improving your strength and conditioning is a sign of how much you want it. Our players are out having fun in the off-season - not focused on improving. Geo and Ron damn near still have freshmen bodies. Its kinda crazy 🤣

They've both been around along time.. If they were gym rats, this wouldn't be a problem. It's a shame bc they both natural ability, they just don't have the hunger to do great things

In 1 game after a nice win streak we are totally back to November? Or is it that we usually struggle on the road and didn’t have to leave the state for a month. We are the same team - you just happen to have been there and want this game to mean more than it does. It’s a road loss. We are 3-2 in conference. The sky isn’t falling. Winnable game and a missed opportunity. As the season goes on, these opportunities are more important. Moving on to Maryland.

If you think what is Pikiell's best team yet is what you observed, wait until Geo and Ron move on (not to transfer but giving the League a shot). It isn't going to be pretty.

Op is not a closet Penn St fan. He bleeds Scarlet but is rightfully disgusted in what transpired tonight. I have been there - I went to the RU game at PSU 3 consecutive years 80-91. That was at Rec Hall and the first 2 were like tonight
Waste of time.

It is a long season and if Rutgers goes .500 in conference and wins a game in the Big 10 Tourney they are going to make NCAA.
