They stick 2 fouls on our 4 tallest players and better defenders in the first 10 minutes of the 1st half and we are not supposed to believe that the refs aren't targetting our bigs. 6'11 6'11 6'7 6'7 out of our 8 man rotation and not letting us play any defense.

Man when we play bad we play really bad. Let’s just not get COVID. Probably should forfeit at halftime and hide in the hotel until Thursday or Friday.
You could start by playing D without fouling. Rutgers doesn’t wrack up more fouls every game because of a conspiracy. They’re slow and use their hands on D, hence fouls.
Illinois is good but the foul calls are a joke.

Definitely playing 5 v 8 but lets be honest Illinois can cut down the nets in April while we may struggle to get through round one. They have improved enough to be an elite team. We have regressed. The difference between the two teams has become exponential.
Refs have been a little iffy today but Myles fouls were clearly fouls
I called it in a thread earlier. We cannot foul this team and guess what we have more fouls than ever.

I don’t really have an issue with the fouls being called on us — we are fouling. Illinois is taking it right to us and we’re too slow so we foul. Where I do have a little issue is the **** that Cockburn and others get away with.
so does Illinois and they don't get called for it.. THAT"S THE PROBLEM
How many times do our guys penetrate into the lane, plant and pass out where they have a clear mid or short range shot. Baker in particular and Mulcahey as well.
The replay showed Cockburn fouled McConnell 3 times on that play and no call.
Duke WAS a 4 star IIRC. You can add him to the list of over hyped recruits .
some of you are real ******** in criticisms of players. We are actually playing well but too many brain farts and the refs are awful with some of these calls

It has nothing to do with being weak, it has to do with multiple players not being able to play the defense they can because in their head they have 2 fouls in the first10'minutes.
