Basketball GAME THREAD: Rutgers vs. Northwestern

[RUJMM78]

It is UNREAL how many shots McConnell is allowed to put up. Worst shooter on the team smh

He just made a 3 pointer to stop the scoring drought.Rutgers ahead by 8 points but the offense is still woeful with 8 minutes remaining.Sixty points might win this game.

[bac2therac]

Myle was 5-5 first half, 0-0 for 2nd

Agreed. Historically feel like he’s been pretty passive and helps the ball move but last couple games it feels like it’s been sticking when it’s get to him. Don’t hate the kid looking for his own offense but he’s not who I want playing ISO ball too often

[DHajekRC84]

He has very weak hands I have no idea what you are watching or if you know basketball but that's not even a question

Yeah me and the 5 other posters who responded to your comment are clueless but you're right. As the other guy said, take another puff.

He has pretty good, soft hands.

Both TV announcers were talking about it in the last game, or the game before.

[mugrat86]

I would love to see Mathis do something positive.

Cool we needed it but he’s 3 of 8 made his last 2 and he’s the worst efg% on the team going into tn

[FrankZ_RU93]

Two big 3s Caleb Mc

Go McConnell

[Ronnie_B]

Now finish them off boys

[PSAL_Hoops]

Pike doesn’t seem to pull anyone often for bricking open shots. He pulls people for lazy defense and committing stupid turnovers. I think that’s your answer.

[Captain Hogleg]

See what happens when you keep shooting and don’t hesitate? Caleb is fearless

[mildone_rivals]

Myle was 5-5 first half, 0-0 for 2nd

So you’re saying he’s perfect in both halves?

[zappaa]

Keep shooting Caleb

[anon_0k9zlfz6lz9oy]

Thats a great lineup we just had in.

[shields]

MJ has good hands.

Hahahaha!

again two big shots....but our offense is ugly, not exactly sure what the hell is going on with it and Geo in particularly

[RUBlackout]

The difference CM when he is hitting these 3s....much more arch on his shot and shooting straight up in rythm. He typically shoots it short bc he doesn’t has a hitch in his set shot and why he is better off the dribble

[Degaz-RU]

Thats a great lineup we just had in.

Four guards and Myles. Can only do that when NW doesn’t have both Young and Nance in there together

[rufeelinit]

Defensive Intensity!!!!

[anon_0k9zlfz6lz9oy]

Myles allows everyone to play free and easy. When Cliff is in, the team can't seem to function as well. Cliff doesn't prove the backbone to give guys the same feeling.

Hes super raw. Needs an entire offseason of coaching. Peoples expectations were too high. Remember he just came to america like 4-5 years ago. He’s a developmental player, he’ll get there

[fluoxetine]

McConell should never shoot

hmm

[koleszar]

Myles must play rest of game. Keep going inside

I still don't know why we've gotten away from that. It seemed to work but the team has other ideas.

[FrankZ_RU93]

Please win this game (and quickly end)

[ScarletDave]

CALEB !!!!! MVP

[Sweet Pea's Corner]

Hitting those 3's but nothing on offense

[DHajekRC84]

He has pretty good, soft hands.

Maybe Green should switch to blow

[bac2therac]

big possession here....Pike usually does well with set shot...I think something inside here to Myles or back door, if we can get up 10 it would be huge

[RUby RED]

Go McConnell

He shut me up real quick lol — I’m happy the jumper is starting to fall

[Night Man]

Thats a great lineup we just had in.

JY MM CM is a guard-suffocating defense

[mugrat86]

Myles hands are not bad at all. Cliff needs to work on catching ball

[BIGRUBIGDBIGredmachine]

McConnell just needs to warm-up and miss 5 or 6 threes before nailing them lol.

[FrankZ_RU93]

Myles must play rest of game. Keep going inside

We basically stink with him off the floor

[PSAL_Hoops]

Some uneven calls.. Let's see if it's a trend

Cool we needed it but he’s 3 of 8 made his last 2 and he’s the worst efg% on the team going into tn

Unfortunately that’s why he’s open. But if you think Tez deserves to be playing over him in this game I don’t know what to tell you. We don’t have anyone else to play the 3. He’s going to have to take open shots when we can’t get it in to MJ. It is what it is. He does other important things.

[bac2therac]

limit the turnovers and win the boards..always come down to this....up 33-24 in boards

[mildone_rivals]

Johnson bad hands. Hahaha.

[FrankZ_RU93]

Get Tez out

[RUsojo]

McConnell and Mathis missing chippies
