Basketball GAME THREAD: Rutgers Hoops vs. Iowa

[RU MAN]

Well, sadly Ron has gone back to being Ron.

[richthedentist]

WTF Ron? Seriously, that might be the worst effort I've ever seen on a layup.

Really go up strong he has just regressed so much its pathetic

[Rokodesh]

Amazing we're only down 13

[Caliknight]

They have outscored us by 24 points from 3 point range and of course by 8 from the foul line not going to win that way

Yep. It's very simple. THey can shoot. We can't.

[ballgame4u]

i think about a month ago harper must have walked in on someone banging his girl or something

[RUby RED]

My god Ron...

[King of S]

Difference is they make contested threes and we don’t make open ones

Bingo-

[rob kight]

Hoq

I actually think we can go farther than Iowa, because when their outside shooting isn't going in, Garza won't be able to get away with the **** he gets away with in this conference.

how Long can Garza stay in paint and not get called?

[rtabachk]

Is Myles injured?

no just 10000000 fouls

[Scarlet Beach]

5 second violation the refs can't even count to 5

They certainly can't when Iowa has the ball. When RU has it, they suddenly can count.

[Shell21]

Can Ron please make an adjustment and get some arc on his shot. It’s either that or he isn’t getting as much lift because of his ankle or bad weight

[SBP]

Ron. Holy crap. It’s stunning.

[tfio]

Pretty sure it was 1-6 in fouls at one point. Now at 8-6. Nice.

[rufeelinit]

I think RH ought to just wear a pair of white or black sneakers the next game.

[Caliknight]

Them and Mish are the class of the league this season

Yep. Michigan. Another team who understands spacing and how to use the low post.

[Plum Street]

I actually think we can go farther than Iowa, because when their outside shooting isn't going in, Garza won't be able to get away with the **** he gets away with in this conference.

Yes . We just gotta get in

[RUJMM78]

Iowa has two players scoring more than 20 points. They lead 74-60.

[RU MAN]

Hoq

how Long can Garza stay in paint and not get called?

They NEVER call him for 3 seconds. Never.

[RUDead]

Iowa has the WORST adj D in the conference by a lot and we have 57 points I. 37 minutes of play...

Bingo. and we only have 6 free throws because we don't go to the hoop strong.

[Rokodesh]

Start young, sit Ron

[richthedentist]

How do we have 10 guards and none of them can shoot from the floor or the line

Because Pikell has not recruited one guy who can shoot

[MV9000]

Ron has gone from a potential all American to a bum fast. Idk wtf happens but he has the skills. Something off for him.

[FrankZ_RU93]

Now refs just shove us down, lol.

[richthedentist]

Start young, sit Ron

We can't play 4 guards

[tfio]

Jaden Jones sighting

[rtabachk]

Joooonnnneeeeeassss @Richard Schnyderite

[RUTRINI_rivals]

Jones sighting

[RUsojo]

Jaden Jones in?

[greenknight]

Rhj wanted no part of shooting that ball. He needs to get his head out of his *** and get back to playing ball

[RU MAN]

Iowa to the Final 4? Really commentator. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

[richthedentist]

That is just the epitome of the game we let them get an offensive rebound and they don't even have 2 guys on the lane for the rebound we just don't box out

[leftoright]

3rd string go in with 1:40 ?

[RUBlackout]

We gave up on this game??? I’m sorry but this is HORRIBLE coaching

Our 3rd team is in and there is time left!! And 4 ******* guys can’t get a rebound on a missed FT

[Jtung230]

Effort was there. Iowa shot well and we didn’t. On to NW.

[RUfan1027]

We’ll make the tourney. We just wont win a game.

[FrankZ_RU93]

Remember Mag?

[RUsojo]

Starting lineup should be Young Paul Mathis Ron Myles and bring Geo and McConnell in the next group

[koleszar]

Can Ron please make an adjustment and get some arc on his shot. It’s either that or he isn’t getting as much lift because of his ankle or bad weight

I think we've run out of the ankle excuse. At this point, I'm starting to wonder if he'll ever get his shot back. More than that his rebounding sucks, his effort sucks and his defense sucks. Hell on offense he hardly moves away from the ball.

[Jackson206:)]

Ron clearly thinks he is better than he is. Those 30 point games have destroyed him.

[RUBlackout]

I would fire Pike
Just got this lineup last 2mins
