Basketball GAME THREAD: Rutgers Hoops vs. Wisconsin

[richthedentist]

12 points in 12 minutes just pathetic

[mildone_rivals]

We are the most undisciplined team ever. We have no structure to the plays. We should be winning this game. Once again the refs suck and are calling everything on us!

The refs have been great. They could’ve called several fouls on us they didn’t. Same both ways. Mostly they’re letting them play hard, both ways.

[phlop87]

I’d go mcconel cliff Johnson you g and Montez Pound it inside

[RUsojo]

The return of Cliff has led to a huge advantage in points in the paint. That’s what this team needs to be in games like this. Keep going for high percentage shots while playing good defense.

Yeah night and day difference highlights the roster management having to go with Rieber and getting nothing from him palmquist mag and not using all the ships.

But, good to have Cliff back

[bac2therac]

I’m really sick of the friggin pouting from a few guys on this team. Some would rather ***** at the refs then get back and play defense.

Spot on..its getting old by them

[richthedentist]

some of that is on him not working to get open and some is on his teammates

some of it is confidence

[biazza38]

Caleb’s shot wtf

[bac2therac]

Caleb airballing everything

Please remove

[RU848789]

some of it is confidence

that too

[richthedentist]

and now McConnel short arming his last two 3 pointers both airballs

[Plum Street]

The nba on nbc music is pretty cool

[RU MAN]

McConnell stop shooting out there. You don't have tonight. That's the second air ball by you from 3. Either drive or dish.

[tfio]

Great effort there Myles

[BigEastPhil]

Just take the ball to the hoop. What is so damn difficult about this?

[rufeelinit]

Not sure where the offense is going to come from. Just brutal.

[SleepingGiantIsAwake]

At least Myles came to play tonight.

[bac2therac]

The refs have been great. They could’ve called several fouls on us they didn’t. Same both ways. Mostly they’re letting them play hard, both ways.

Fully agree..this works to our advantage

[Scarlet Knut]

McConnell's last 4 shots and 3 didn't even get iron.

[mugrat86]

Why is Young not driving the ball lately? That is their best offense

[motorb54]

What is the stat for our 3 point shots this half? 0 for 5?
And all were good looks.

[RU MAN]

The refs have been great. They could’ve called several fouls on us they didn’t. Same both ways. Mostly they’re letting them play hard, both ways.

Agreed. One of the best officiating crews we've had this season.

[RU89]

I never enter these threads and have complained ALOT about refs this year but they have let a TON go on us. Myles would have been called for 4 fouls on that one possession in other games that he blocked 2 shots. They are letting both teams play. No complaints this game. Just step up a make a ******** shot!

[jersey07080]

Spot on..its getting old by them

Agree but this is way more amplified with no crowd.

[koleszar]

Do we practice air ball 3’s? I’ve never seen a team have so many

[Shell21]

They run that out of time out play for Ron to get a look and he passes up the open 3 . I know he made the extra pass to Caleb but still ; gotta catch and shoot there

[Scangg]

Young play rest of game.

We will score or get open looks if he just touched the ball every play

[RUsojo]

McConnell bad 2H. Just need more playmakers around him not Geo Tez Paul

[RW90]

RU couldn't hit water if they fell out of the boat.

[Mr. Magoo1]

yup ..and if certain players don’t “get theirs” they become useless.

[RutgersClassof2004]

McConnell Air Ball Central! Pathetic.

[RUTRINI_rivals]

The boys are playing with heart, toughness and pride. Glad to see it.

[JerseyShoreKnight]

12 points in 12 minutes just pathetic

For which team? Lol.

[Degaz-RU]

Our offense is brrrrrrrruuuuuuuuutttttttaaaaalllllll

[phlop87]

Def to get the all to the foul line or the block

[biazza38]

We’re really going to have problems winning if Harper, Geo, and Mathis don’t decide to wake up and start hitting 3’s

[RU MAN]

They run that out of time out play for Ron to get a look and he passes up the open 3 . I know he made the extra pass to Caleb but still ; gotta catch and shoot there

I think he lost his confidence, which right now, is not what we need.

[ScarletDave]

Player of the game for Wisconsin is Pike for sitting Jacob Young for the 8 minutes when Wisconsin didn’t score a basket. Un believeable at this point

[bac2therac]

I will be extremely disappointed if we don't win

Good teams win games like this at home with their backs against the wall

[DHajekRC84]

Screw you..he made back to back baskets..gtfo with that

Lol..a fast break by himself basket after a Myles steal after his one finally shot?
Yeah, that's 2 in a row lol.

[Scangg]

Can we see Young and McConnel in the game together now please

To start the 2nd half would have been ideal
