Barber shops, at least the ones I see, have required you have your temperature taken to enter and a questionnaire. To my knowledge, there hasn't been a single case of Covid traced to a barber shop. So vaccinations aren't the only route.
There were many cases of barber shops multiple Covid spread. Actually the first multi spread outside of a nursing home was in a hair saloon IIRC.

Wrong again, sad you think that way. Im gonna live my life the same way I've been living it since about a month after this thing started. If you want the vaccine go get it, if I dont I wont. I am not anti vax at all just either.

Wow, congrats!

But I'd rather live my life the way I did a month before the pandemic hit. Hence, needle.

Again selfish. I will shed no tears if you infect someone but you might if its someone love that currently you don't care about.
You are living in your own world. Again if they chose to get the vaccine they are protected.

If anyone here ate at Brower Dining Hall, then they've already put way worse things into their body then the vaccine.

Seriously though. For those afraid of long term effects, which vaccine in the history of vaccines has had any long term adverse effects? The ingredients in the vaccine are metabolized and eliminated from your body in a matter of hours to days. The only long term effects you get is immunity.

I got my first dose of the Moderna vaccine this past Tuesday and had a sore arm for two days. Get vaccinated you morons. Also stay in school, I can't believe how many people are completely scientifically illiterate.

Huh. What if they listen to you dumb *** point of view and don't get vaccinated??
Then that is there choice. If I was at risk I would get it no doubt. If someone is high risk they should get if but if they dont its on them. I am not saying I will never get it, I may even have to for work. I would like to know more about something that came out so fast before getting it thats all. Again my choice. I agree with lots of the stuff you post on this board but not this one.

60 % of healthcare workers are "Just say No." nationally at this time.

States are good and States are bad. It isn't rocket science to figure our which is which.

NYS is about to fine healthcare systems 100,000 if certain goals aren't met and fine 2,000 a day for late daily reporting.

Meanwhile the Presbyterian Hospital system (private in and around NYC) has given 99 % of their currently allocated doses of vaccine. The NYC Health and Hospital (NYC/DeBlow run.) is at 31 %.

I hate Deblasio but there is a lot more to these stats. I work in the industry. Some NY hospitals were following the state/CDC guidelines around who and when and their numbers are lower, others are vaccinating accountants who would never be in the same building as a patient and their numbers are higher. Blame here actually should go to Albany and DC not the city because they know of the inconsistencies and are letting some hospitals take the heat for following the state/federal guidelines. Some hospitals are now offering to vaccinate pharma or insurance company reps that are in the building everyday to get their numbers up. Still hate Diblasio.

I believe that was before the shutdown and subsequent reopening with the precautions I outlined.

Wow you really don't get it! Do you wear a mask?. Why? To protect yourself or to protect others? I guess from your thought process you say f-it and never wear a mask.

Have no problem if anyone doesn't want to take the shot. But they must remove themselves from society and keep themselves in lock down.
If you’re vaccinated, what are you afraid of?

And, no, need to open everything back up after all who want to have had the chance to be vaccinated. Including no masks.

All of them require masks. Actually state law correct? You don't claim check mate when you are too dumb to play checkers. Business has every right to refuse service to people that are a health risk. Again its the law.
Wrong again. It is NOT a state law.

Another one that doesn't get it. What about those that are waiting to get it and some clown walks around infected because he/she is afraid of a needle in their arm.

I mean I read the same on CNBC. Your employer theoretically could let you go.

I agree with that. However sadly the ones who will benefit are the scumbag lawyers with agendas, lowest form of life.

In PA it is. Pretty sure in NJ too. And you can your business license for not enforcing it.
I’m not trying to bust balls here, but, for sure in NJ, it is not law. It’s a “mandate”. On top of that it is actually illegal to refuse to serve a customer for refusing to wear a mask. Disabilities Act for one. Not sure about PA.

That’s one of the crazy and scary things if people take a step back and realize the facts. Most people don’t know. Most people, including the people working, THINK it is law because that is what people say/think (like you who obviously has some education and done some research).

For the record, I do wear masks indoors and where mandated out of respect and to avoid causing unnecessary trouble.

I think I came across NJ has 417,000 shots that have not been used yet. There is plenty available at this point.
So out of our entire population of NJ which today is between 8-9 million you realize the percentage for all ( 400,000 ) shots is 6.25% .Loooong way to go ... need another 90% minus the 30% who don’t take it. And if they release all the vaccines at once you will see total chaos around the country. But don’t believe us .

Mandate or law you can look up businesses that have been closed for not following whatever you want to call it. I'd call that a law

Doesn’t mean it is a law. It’s government overreach and the invisible hand. And it’s a crock of ****. It’s time to rise up on these people one way or another.

WOW, our freedoms are being taken everyday. Being called morons, stupid, selfish, for not trusting the vaccine. Health care workers who have seen the worst this virus can do are refusing the vaccine in huge numbers. What should we call them? https://apnews.com/article/coronavirus-vaccine-health-workers-676e03a99badfd5ce3a6cfafe383f6af
Hey no one is telling you must take the vaccine. But private business has the right to refuse you if you don't. Stay in your bunker if you please. And never complain about restrictions

You realize the amount of people vaccinated is directly correlated to how long restrictions stay in place right? Although the people who do get vaccinated will likely be able to go back to normal quicker via vaccine passports.

Very selfish of you to feel that way. Many are suffering from the shutdowns. And not just economically.

I don't feel any way. You said they "need" to open up once everyone who wants has gotten vaccinated. Which is simply not true.

End game is herd immunity and the virus retreating, not "everyone who wants a vaccine got one." And businesses will treat it how they see best.

And once all that want to be vaccinated are which will be a good % we should be good to go because all that are vaccinated will now be magnitudes better protected and the others are willing to take any associated risk.

For those who don’t take the vaccine for various reasons (allergies etc) shouldn’t be discriminated against.

The black market for the scary “ cards” will be booming.

I'm a healthcare worker.

I would say that there has been an awful job with educating the public on these vaccines. People think an "RNA vaccine" will make them grow 2 heads or a third nipple. Anything that's has to do with anything genetic the public mistrusts. Same goes for GMOs. It's completely unfounded and harmful to society.

for now members of the health care profession refusing to get the shot is allowed , from what I read.
But things might change making getting vaccinated compulsory.
I wouldn't want to be treated by an vaccinated person, that's my choice.

For most health care workers, an annual flu shot is compulsory, as are immunizations for measles, mumps, chickenpox and other infectious diseases. And that’s been upheld by courts. .
I think mandatory vaccination against Covid 19 would be too, if it was decided that health care workers need to get the shot or be unemployed.

I have been a physical therapist for 26 years in NJ. I went to UMDNJ. I had to provide them with my immunization records upon acceptance into the PT program. Before I could go to the first day of classes, I had to get 5 booster shots, get tested for TB, and start the hepatitis B vaccine process. If I didn't, I wasn't allowed into the PT program.

I work in an outpatient setting, and yearly TB testing and flu shots are mandatory. Right now the Covid vaccine is optional, but that could change in the future.

If not enough get vaccinated, we’ll be in the same place we are in now. For things like measles, lot of the antivaxxer cowards have the luxury of hiding behind the vaccinated people because most are vaccinated and there is no community spread. They might not be able to pull the same move with Covid.

Also the passports will be very difficult to fake. It’s all going to be done through apps that are connected to medical systems.
