What a huge win. Biggest win in Steve pikiell era. For all the talk about pikiell’s offense they just dropped 91 on #13 ranked team in country and scored on every possession down the stretch. Most importantly Myles stepped up when Cliff got hurt and played smart. Didn’t need to go to mo for minutes.

Huge program win. Tells everyone we don’t need the racmosphere to beat a top team. And Illinois is a top team.
Two big differences.
First half to second half: Free throws.
Last year to this year: Making 3 point shots.
If we can consistently make ft's and 3 ptr's the way we have early this season then we are a legit big time team.

A team effort for sure. Once Cliff got hurt I think we only played six the rest of the way. Really need either Mawat or Oskar to develop to provide a few quality minutes against lesser B1G teams.
Now THAT'S how you win. Timely shooting, FT's down the stretch and tough defense. Yes, Illinois scored 88 off us (the last shot academic), but we scored 91 freakin' points and we are a team to be reckoned with. I love, love, love this team and the coaching staff. WHOO-HOOO!

Yes Ron was definitely the key to this victory his 3 point shooting in the second half and he had some big drives to the hoop his big body just shields the defense off on those drives
There is just no question that maintaining your position in a close game is so much easier when you make a good number of FT's. Underwood did what I expected Turgeon to do the other night which is make us demonstrate that we could hit FT's. We passed the test.
They said it was an ankle, and then 10 minutes later he was seen riding a stationary bike w/o any wrap on the ankle, don't think that it is too serious thankfully.
I know the common thinking is the teams best scorer is it's best player, and Johnson not being a big time scorer might make him an after thought to some, but I think he is in the discussion. His impact on the boards and defensive end is huge. And despite not being a big point producer he is a very good ball distributor for a big man.
I also think he still has untapped offensive potential.

We are a legit good team no doubt.
Being a big time team hinges on our ability to make ft's and the 3 pt shot. Thus far we seem very capable of the latter. The ft's though? Hopefully today's 2nd half acts as a springboard.
Outstanding team win with incredible foul shooting in last 5 minutes.Harper and Young both scored over 20 points and Johnson did a tremendous job rebounding and on defense .
Sorry a group from my church had an online meeting that I showed up X minutes late for. They were all happy we won.
