I think what most of you are missing with N. Iowa is the number of road wins they have. They are pretty much a lock.

Lol, **** off troll.

Not an impact game for us but for the basketball junkies out there two pretty quality games in NJ tonight. Iona @ st peters and siena @ monmouth.

If st peters wins and siena loses, st peters wins the maac which would be truly remarkable as its only sha’s 2nd year and talk about turning chicken salad into chicken ****, st peters has NOTHING to work with. Their gym is worse than 90% of high school gyms

ill be at the SPU game rooting on the peacocks. I go to their games any time they dont conflict with RU. Fun team to watch.

Don't you mean.. chicken **** into chicken salad?

I didn't even know St. Peter's was a college until you brought it up the other day. Just googled it and see it's in JC. Lived in Bergen county for years no idea. Shows how small and meaningless that place is. Coach must be great

We used to play them a bunch.

Yeah its like 5-10 mins from my apartment and ive played with some alums so I just go all the time. Honestly you can pretty much just walk in and no one will say anything. And ill tell ya what, i personally think its easier to be a ref in front of 15,000 booing you than 500 getting on you. You can hear every single word the 500 say haha. Theres this one fan at every game who very angrily berates the refs, like i actually think hed fight them if he was physically capable, hes not joking with his chirps hes truly out for blood haha. Guy is like at least 75

I also live in JC.

LOL, I recently "played" this game in the College Hoops 2K8 legacy I started. Still in the 2007-08 season, I believe we are 10-6 (2-3). Just beat #5 Louisville at home and then took out a ranked Syracuse on the road. But before that we lost to South Florida, Providence, and got absolutely DESTROYED at home by Georgetown like 79-45 or something.

We won the St. Peter's game in that universe but it was pretty close.

Also for some reason Jaron Griffin is the second coming of Quincy Douby in that game, he ******* wrecks from 3. He was 7-14 from 3 in our win over Syracuse.

Doesn't impact Rutgers, but huge win for Saint Peter's tonight over Iona

I believe that gives them a piece of the MAAC title

They are a very young team too

Siena wins it outright with their win over monmouth tonight. Had siena lost, SPU wouldve won it as they held the tie breaker.

was at the game tonight, SPU wasnt at their best but theyre scrappy. And yes, super young team but when willard leaves in a couple weeks, Sha is probably top candidate to take over at SHU

Doubt that happens this year, lol

thx. really need Wisky to beat Indiana

and we really need to beat Purdue (I didnt feel as strongly about that earlier in the week, but I think if we're likely to face UM in the B1G tourney, A LOT will be riding on that game if we dont find a way to beat Purdue)

yes, yes, I know Captain Obvious commentary...

a Purdue win today is going to put them in the field near RU meaning a Purdue win in the B10 tourney and a RU loss to Michigan would have a pretty devestating effect on RUs chances. Purdue heads into the tourney at 17-14 they cannot get in at 17-15 but at 18-15 compared to 18-13 RU they would have an excellent chance given very similar metrics but without the road red flag

This is what I am worried about as well. You just said it better than I did :)

A win today, none of the other games will matter. Let’s root for that, worry about the noise later if we have to.

I know Marquette is a lock but they're getting taken to the woodshed by St. John's and have lost five of their past six.

I know they are not near the bubble according to most projections, but Marquette is getting ripped by St John's at the half, 47-28. If they lose big, that pushes them towards the bubble. They would finish 8-10 in the Big East (18-12 overall).

East Tennessee looks likely to win today, up 12 at the half against a weak VMI. I want them to just win their auto bid and ensure they are not in the "bid stealing" conversation.

No bad losses for Marquette. If they had a St. Bonaventure type loss they'd be bubble-adjacent.

Marquette is a lock, St. John's is Q1 on the road.
Q1 5-10 Q2 6-2 T 11-12 top 10 SOS
23 out of 31 Q1-2 games

Their seed just keeps dropping like a rock though losing 6 of 7.

DePaul isn’t a bad loss for Marquette ?

The Big East is protected and off limits for criticism by the committee...Marquette could lose today and in the BE tournament by a combined 35 to 40 points and nothing will matter.

So True...plus they want Markus Howard in the tournament regardless. It’s Trae Young Symdrome.

Agree...they built up so much the first 2/3 of season the resume can sustain the late season tank

I mean I understand the subjective feeling of looking at a team struggling mightily down the stretch, but the NCAA explicitly stopped using the last 10 games cutoff as anything meaningful and if you want to say Marquette is out you need to start looking at those other teams on the bubble that have massive holes in their resume and tell me why they are more deserving.
