First thought that came to my mind. Ironic. Theres really zero excuse for a kid like him to get a dwi. Its not like he doesnt have money, kid comes from $. Just take an uber or a bus around.

side note, if he was at like .08-.12 i really wish our police started acting like SEC police and would just call pike and let him leave his car and walk home. Might not be a popular opinion but thats what should happen

Yup. And if anyone thinks cops themselves don't drive around literally drinking beers, you don't know any cops. If he was plastered that's one thing. Middlesex County Law enforcement has a hard on for Rutgers sports. And loves to make examples.

Bac, i actually agree with him. I truly know cops who drive around while on duty drinking in their squad cars. Is it all of them? No no no, very few. But make no mistake in some urban areas there are some cops who drink in their cars while on the job

There’s busses, Uber’s/Lyfts, and a Drunk Bus at Rutgers.

He’s also an athlete and could pick up a ride from dozens of people I’m sure.

Moron.
When i was in school a certain coach who shall be unnamed used to have GA’s drive kids around late night and more or less be a taxi for them

Personally i want cops to let him off as well. I know it’s A) not a popular opinion B) he shouldnt have been driving drunk anyway but C) i wish our local police cut our athletes some breaks where they can

It's freaking 2020 don't drink and drive. No tolerance for this kind of crap. I like to kick back with the best of them but will never ever drive. Even after
1-2 beers.

Gotta feelin he's upset about his playing time situation. Everything was goin well a few weeks ago - then he found himself in a slump a lessened playing time

It can't be both "he shouldn't have been doing it" and "I wish they'd let people go for doing this." Either he did something wrong and needs to be punished for it, or he didn't do something wrong and doesn't need to be punished for it.

Serious question...

How is it that Simpson gets suspended and it is all speculation and hush hush as to why....

Young gets suspended and DWI is in the first headline.

Damn shame.. glad he's alive and he didn't kill anyone.

C'mon guys no drinking in-season. Especially not during this run you need. Home before midnight if you do.

We will miss him.
