Wrestling LIVE - Rutgers vs. Michigan Updates

[RU Diesel07110]

Nice win but Sammy has to get to his O.

[R U Crazy]

Isnt that an escape in the 2nd period when Alvarez had the cradle locked?

[Rusty_Screw_88]

Its a win. Very nice.

[Lex Knapp]

Zach Firestone is going to wrestle for Rutgers at 141-lbs. He will take on Michigan's Cole Mattin

[Rusty_Screw_88]

I am glad it is on BTN out here in Indiana

Zach Firestone is going to wrestle for Rutgers at 141-lbs. He will take on Michigan's Cole Mattin

Hoping Firestone does well

[Lex Knapp]

Mattin with an ankle pick, but Firestone does a good job of fending it off.

[Rusty_Screw_88]

Nice move by Firestone to escape the potential takedown

[Lex Knapp]

Firestone with a shot of his own, but potentially dangerous is called after a scramble. No score on the sequence.

[MS-RU]

I think they said by the time he had the cradle they were out of bounds.

[JudgeSmails56]

Wow no jojo?

[Lex Knapp]

Scoreless first period, but Firestone doing pretty well.

Firestone chooses defense for the second period.

[Lex Knapp]

Wow no jojo?

Jojo has been battling an illness this week. The staff did not feel comfortable putting him out there today with not practicing this week.

[Rusty_Screw_88]

Nice escape

[nikoru09]

firestone................wow

[Lex Knapp]

Mattin awarded two for the take, and four for backs, off of my least favorite rule in the world - danger call.

[R U Crazy]

How in the Heck is that 4?
OMG

[JudgeSmails56]

Is jojo hurt? This season has just been a **** show .

[Lex Knapp]

Mattin rides out the period on top, and will carry at 6-1 lead into the third period.

Firestone on bottom for the final period.

[JudgeSmails56]

We’re gonna lose to a terrible Michigan team. We might not win another match this year.

[R U Crazy]

Jo Jo has the flu

[MS-RU]

Firestone was so close so many times but couldn't finish and found himself in a bad situation and gave up backpoints to blow this match wide open. He needs to keep it to a decision if we want to have any chance to win this dual.

[Rusty_Screw_88]

Should reverse the 4 for the scissor

[Lex Knapp]

Firestone gets taken down on the edge, as Mattin now leads 9-2. He cuts Firestone, making the score 9-3.

[Lex Knapp]

Mattin gets another score, now out in front with an 11-3 lead. Firestone needs to escape to avoid bonus.

[Lex Knapp]

Mattin rides out Firestone for the 11-3 major. Firestone wrestled tough early on, but you can tell the lack of mat time prevented him from scoring in some situations there.

[MS-RU]

Yup. The Aguilar match was an absolute killer. He needs to be better.

[Lex Knapp]

Gerard Angelo now wrestling No. 11 Kanen Storr at 149-lbs.

[obrats_rivals]

Should reverse the 4 for the scissor

That’s on Goodale for not throwing the brick.

[RUCreedo]

Aguilar is finding out what late season wrestling is about.

[R U Crazy]

The worst thing about this match is i have to sit through another top ride from Drew Hughes coming up at 165

[RUTrack94]

141 has been a big letdown last 3 meets ... looking like UM is going to win 6 or 7 boughts and take this one.

How’s the crowd?

[JudgeSmails56]

isnt Hughes Michigan state?

[Lex Knapp]

Storr snaps Angelo to the mat and scores two off an easy go-behind.

Did he transfer to Michigan?

[MS-RU]

That’s on Goodale for not throwing the brick.

This hasn't been Goodales finest season coaching.

[SCNJ]

Going to need unexpected bonus points from Donner, Scott, Janzer or Pagano. Don’t agree with the choice of Donner over Turley

[JudgeSmails56]

Are we going to be this bad next year too? With Suriano not coming back and it’s not like we have any blue chips redshirting. We better hope we can find some transfers.

[Lex Knapp]

Storr carries a 2-0 lead into the second period, and chooses to start on bottom.

He is quickly up and out, making it 3-0 Storr.

[Leonard23]

Second time Aguilar got beat by an opponent who didnt take shot the whole match

Should've been banged for stalling 3 or 4 times
