Just one rumor that he’s “coming home” and we will know more tomorrow

The Moorhead rumor is here

You do realize that the Twitter "rumor" you posted from Wes Williamson said Cohen reached a deal with "Tony D'Amato?"
As in Pacino's character from Any Given Sunday:

This is the football board not current events but continue your petty cult talk
Did you or did you not call @mikemarc1 an idiot simply for reporting what he’d seen on social media? You can’t even bear to hear the possibility of anybody but Schiano coming here. That’s cult-like behavior.

That was an amazing unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Plus that kicker looked like he was going to hurl after he missed the PAT.

Ruwoz said Schiano covered up child abuse..

Actually it was court testimony. You can choose to believe it or not.

“only that he had — I can’t remember if it was one night or one morning — but that Greg had come into his office white as a ghost and said he just saw Jerry doing something to a boy in the shower. And that’s it. That’s all he ever told me.”

Since so many on here like to rate women in the "hot chicks" thread or rank the cheerleaders/dance team, how about we women do that for the next head coach on a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is "hot" and 1 is not so much:

Bret Bielema - 0.5/10
Pat Narduzzi - 1/10
Joe Moorhead - 3/10
Steve Addazio - 3.5/10
Bob Surace - 3.5/10
Butch Jones - 4/10
Lance Leipold - 4.5/10
Jedd Fisch - 5/10
Jeff Hafley - 5/10
Willie Fritz - 5.5/10
Nunzio Campanile - 5.75/10
Anthony Campanile - 6/10
Greg Schiano - 7/10

Looks like the choice is clear

They may be pretty f*cken stupid down south, but even MSU isn't stupid enough to fire Moorhead based on this past season.

Let's face it whether it has been intentionally done or not, the Schiano only mandate has created a toxic environment for anyone not named Schiano. You guys better hope they work out their differences because you have contributed to the inability to develop a plan B.

Just like I think Schiano was certainly worthy to be on Hobbs list for consideration, I don't get how you can look at Moorhead's body of work and think he does not deserve a look.

100% its has been intentionally done. They want to scare off every other candidate - and leave Greg as the only option. I have never seen anything like it. Literally threatening to not support the program. What coach would want any part of that

For a lot of us it’s not that we don’t think Moorhead is worthy of consideration, it’s more that RU has put itself into a box. First, given that RU had the worst P5 program in the country it was a unique situation to begin with. Then add in the fact that for three weeks RU built up the fact that Schiano would be hired and would be the savior of the program - yes - RU itself promoted that agenda - RU put itself in a corner that ONLY Schiano would be right person for the job. IMO most of the fan, player and press outrage is due to RU’s three week Schiano PR campaign.

Hobbs handling of the Greg negotiations to date has driven a large part of the RU fan base to reject any candidate except Greg and to withhold $ support until Greg is back.

Agree that the RU well is now poisoned for any other candidate that RU can get except Greg.

What does RU offer to other HC candidates? A president about to retire, a BOG that doesn’t invest in FB, a lame duck AD, no practice facility and a fan base that will hate your guts at the intro presser. Not to mention the local newspaper that lunges at every opportunity to discredit RU.

Now who should want that gig?

That he is on his way to RU and will be announced tomorrow
Yeah. About that. This was Moorhead after a win over Ole Miss:

"To me it was an exclamation point on the narrative that I'm not the right man for this job or this team, or that I can't coach in this league," Moorhead said. "This is my school, my team, and this is my program. They'll have to drag my Yankee *** out of here."

Actually it was court testimony. You can choose to believe it or not.

“only that he had — I can’t remember if it was one night or one morning — but that Greg had come into his office white as a ghost and said he just saw Jerry doing something to a boy in the shower. And that’s it. That’s all he ever told me.”
Actually, it was triple hearsay testimony made by McQueary, a scum bag who asked his daddy what he should do after directly witnessing Sandusky raping a boy in a shower, and then listened to daddy and went and talked to JoePa. Such evidence is not admissible:
McQueary testified that Bradley said the assistant coach from the 1990s was Schiano, a Penn State assistant from 1990-95.
Oh, even if it was admissible, the two people involved, denied the statement from the scum bag. One denied it in court testimony:

“I can’t remember if it was one night or one morning,” McQueary testified, “but that Greg had come into (Bradley’s) office white as a ghost and said he just saw (Sandusky) doing something to a boy in the shower.”
Bradley's representative Brett Senior said Tuesday in a statement, “At no time did Tom Bradley ever witness any inappropriate behavior. Nor did he have any knowledge of alleged incidents in the 80’s and 90’s. He has consistently testified as such. Any assertions to the contrary are false. When he became aware of the 2001 incident it had already been reported to the University administration years earlier.”
Schiano, now an assistant coach at Ohio State, tweeted a statement Tuesday that read, “I never saw any abuse, nor had reason to suspect any abuse, during my time at Penn State.”

I'll believe Bradley and Schiano long before I even consider believing a scum bag like McQueary.

While Greg may not have seen anything or reported it up and McQueary made that part up...I find it almost impossible to believe that any coach, GA, janitor and many players did not hear any sort of rumors of it happening and doubt McQueary was the only one to witness.
Maybe someone on this board that has played at this level can answer- how often is the locker room completely empty - and I mean completely, to allow a man like Sandusky to rapes hundreds of young boys over 20 years and not even been seen except for one time?
Again, not saying any part of the story about Greg is true but I also doubt that no one had any clue of what was going on.
And I 100% believe Joe Pa is the reason it went on for so long.

Not arguing with you--but I never said McQueary made it up. Then again, maybe he did, and he is a scum bag, and would not put it past him. His memory could have been so foggy that he did not remember who said what about whom. Also, he had to have had a guilty conscience for going to daddy instead of the police--sometimes people in these situations like to paint others as being partially responsible and make themselves feel better.

One thing to always keep in mind- this was not post 2015 where it is almost impossible for one single man to have complete control over your life. Back when this was happening. Anyone working at Pedd St had their life and career in control of Joe Pa. And I dont even think this extended to ONLY football personnel. He could squash your report, squash you, and make sure you were completely done...

I spoke with someone who played for PSU while McQueary was an assistant there and Sandusky, while no longer a coach, was frequently around the program. He said McQueary was a complete a-hole. When I asked him about this scandal, he said something to the effect of; "If you're asking if I'm surprised about the allegations, yes because I never saw or suspected anything like that. If you're asking if I'm surprised PSU tried to cover it up, no, because the only thing they care about is football".

We will see where it all goes. It’s the last hour. Schiano is on the clock. Can’t wait forever.
The question should be WILL THE DONORS AND BOOSTERS PUT THE MONEY OUT FOR ANYONE OTHER THAN SCHIANO?
So that would go for anyone but Gary right?
You can say this for an make believe, volunteer, legendary staff of Saban, Belichick, Leach, Meyer, Carroll, Dabo, and the Bowden Family
