It's college football. If you can score 100 then do it.

If you gash me it's my fault as a coach and if i gash you it's your fault. That's the game. It's not Pop Warner.

Even in HS im all for still running your offense until the last whistle blows. I would make some subs but I'm gonna attack what the other team does poorly.

He wanted this job badly, I'm honestly surprised he didn't try to score 70 between him not getting a sniff, us running Captain Kirk out of town and Rossi and the other former RU coaches on staff.

I'd love to know what they thought of our home game atmosphere in the Hobbs era of 15k of us :(

Agreed but only problem with that is you will now get fired or forced to resign if your JV scores on their starters in the fourth quarter of a 42-0 blowout.

I've been called out for it before and I always cover myself by showing film.

If a team is blitzing, and putting 8 in the box, to stop us from running the ball then it is unsafe for my kids to run the ball and we will go up top.

If you are blitzing, calling time out, or leaving all starters in that means you think you still can win and I'm gonna keep trying to light you up.

Fleck will come back to reality next year when his entire D line graduates. IDK if he could have gotten it done here. Not sold on him

Fleck is class. Look at his reaction when he had the back up kicker who beat cancer 4 times kick the extra point and his answers to the schiano questions. We should be so fortunate to have him or someone like him. Plus I don’t think Minnesota is that good and he has them undefeated

If "money is no object," is there any way Rutgers can still get PJ Fleck or is that ship long gone?
Good question. In my opinion no because of the way we supposedly shunned him previously and if he keeps up his success he'll get whatever he wants from Minny. Also I've read he would be considered at places like Mich and Mich St. if he wanted to move again.

WOW great press conference. Really got to wonder how Ash blew Hobbs away with the "best interview" ever and this guy couldn't even get in the room. Unreal.

Because the hiring process was mostly conducted before Hobbs was hired.

If you really believe that a new AD with no football background is hiring a coach less than a week on the job I've got land under water to sell you at a great price.

Hobbs made the announcement as the AD and owns the hire but he really didn't hire Ash.

fleck is awesome, should have been on the banks. Can't hate the guy for exposing what a lousy job of handling football the administration has done. be angry at RU athletics and those that run this

Sounds like Minnesota. For many years, the Administration left football for dead. Luckily for us Gopher fans that is changing. Still a long way to go, but knowing that there is support from the administration goes a long ways towards rebuilding.

Cheers!

1. they guy bought Eric LeGrand Roll Model shirts for his entire team and they wore them to warm up in pre-game
2. they guy took his starters our in the 4th quarter
3. the guy put in a kid who has fought cancer 4 times as the place holder while Fleck cried on the sidelines
4. the team only scored 42 points

there is no reason, whatsoever, to call him a scumbag

But is there IS a reason to call him a candidate for our next head coach!

Fleck has gotten it done in the B1G at Minnesota but may have failed at RU? I’d like to know why.

Fleck would seem to me to be the lowest risk HC candidate for RU, given what he’s done at W Mich and Minnesota. Although I’m sure he won’t be available he’d be a home run hire for us imo.

RU fans always wanting what others have. Isn’t that like Avarice - one of the 7 deadly sins?

The guy is dropping back throwing 56 yard bombs up 35-0 vs a team with 12 passing yards.

Listen to Nunzio’s response. He is fine. This is the Big Ten and Nunzio says his job is to stop the opponent. The opponent did play their bench players.

You wanted our interim HC that was coaching HS 2 years ago to call out another HC in a postgame?

IMO this was worse than what harbaugh did to us when they put up 70
