Champions Dinner and Par 3 in the books. Just over 12 hours until Jack and Gary knock one down the first hole and onto the best 4 days in golf. Let's also have fun. Answer these questions with your first reply.
1. Who do you think will win?
2. Who do you want to win?
3. What are your plans for watching?
4. On what hole will the 54 hole leader give up the lead?
5. Your favorite Masters memory.

My answers.
1. That is the hardest question of the 5. I have no great feel this year but I will go with Bruce Koepka
2. Big fan of a new guy to break the major victory seal. For me that would be Tony Finau.
3. I don't go out to watch the Masters. Most places have no sound and people ask stupid questions when you just want to watch. Sunday I will be at a fellow Rutgers tailgate friend. Cigars, beers and very little conversation.
4. 11th hole. It's not a birdie hole and a really tough par under pressure.
5. Jack in 86 by far. Honorable mention Larry Mize.

Best sports week of the year. I’ll play along.

1. Gut tells me this is Justin Rose’s year.

2. Can I say Freddy Couples? While that would make me the happiest, I’ll go a little more realistic and say I’d love to see Spieth shake the recent monkey off his back and snap out of his slump at his favorite place.

3. I’ll watch either privately or with friends who I know will be as into it as I am.

4. I’ll say the newly designed 5th hole. Leader will go +3 through holes 4 & 5. Tough little stretch.

5. Easy. I was there in 2011 for Wednesday (morning practice rounds and just walking the grounds and then the Par 3 in the afternoon watching Arnie, Jack, and Gary) and first round on Thursday. Magical place that exceeded all expectations.

I like Rory. He has been playing so well this year and is dialed in on completing the grand slam.
I would love for Tiger to be there Sunday. Ratings would be off the charts. It would be must watch TV. Though he hasn’t been playing that well this year.

Also would love to see a Fowler finally get a major. Guy has been so close before.

My favorite masters thing is that I.love the pin position on 16 every Sunday. They have the pin on a part of the green that funnels and if you hit it right you could get an ace or a miraculous chip in like Tiger back in the day.

1. Going with the favorite, Rory - just think he's playing so well and has a better game than he's had in the past.
2. I always root for Phil.
3. Same thing. Won't see much until Sunday, but I'm usually parked in my recliner all day Sunday watching, by myself.
4. Think Rory has the lead after 3 rounds and doesn't ever give it up.
5. Yep, Jack in '86. Honorable mention Phil's putt to win his first, where he skied a good 3-4 inches off the ground.
6. Will add one more: most gut wrenching moment - Norman losing to Fuzzy, Mize, and especially Faldo after being 6 strokes up. Was a big Norman fan.

Weather might be a wild card. Tomorrow looks great and Friday and Saturday both look pretty good for the most part, but there could be a few scattered showers each day (hopefully no lightning, as that is an automatic delay). However, while it's 4 days out, Sunday, especially in the afternoon, has a higher chance of significant showers and t-storms. I really, really would hate to see the back nine on Sunday screwed up with bad weather. Highs should be in the low 80s each day.

High winds would really put Weekend scores in doubt. It would also dry out the greens and make them even faster, both on approach shots and putting.

Great list of questions @WhiteBus.

1. Justin Rose (also have $$ on Fowler, Rahm and Phil)
2. Phil. I am a lefty. Have loved Phil since I picked up golf right out of Rutgers in '90.
3. The Masters doesn't come on air until 3pm (2pm on Sunday). Computer and television in office tomorrow and Friday. Have Senior A Team matches both Saturday and Sunday so will tape and tune in from start when I get home around 5pm.
5. Phil '04 favorite memory. Tiger '97 most unforgettable memory. Was a high school Senior in '86 and not a golfer yet, so don't vividly remember Nicklaus' win in '86.

No winds of consequence are forecast for the tournament, outside of some possible short-term gusty winds along with a few showers, but often showers with gusty winds mean lightning, so play could be stopped for that period of time.

And despite the recent heavy rains, Augusta has a very sophisticated drainage system under each green that will ensure the greens are still reasonably dry and fast, while the fairways will still be fairly wet and soft, reducing driving length, which will affect the shorter hitters the most.

I like Brooks but not here.

1) Rory
2) Matsuyama for betting reasons
3) Bar/computer/tv
4) 5th
5) Probably watching Tiger in 2000 realizing this was as good as the game gets

1. Who do you think will win? Tiger Woods
2. Who do you want to win? Tiger Woods
3. What are your plans for watching? Watch the Feature Groups online, then TV. Phone when walking the dog or in bathroom. Saturday will be difficult as the plan is to go to the Spring game and tailgate and watch the game, and tape the Golf and watch when I get home. Still thinking about this plan. Also will be texting to m brother and sister, both Tiger Fans as well, my brother has a nice place on Singer Island as a second home, and we all go to The Woods in Jupiter when visiting.
4. On what hole will the 54 hole leader give up the lead? None, Tiger will be the leader by end of Saturday, and go take that lead to the finish

I'd love to see Tiger win just for the craziness and coverage it would receive. It would be very cool.
I'm skipping most of the other questions, but my favorite moment:

5. Your favorite Masters memory - Last year at the par 3 contest on Wednesday, I was there with about 7 others for a "work" trip. We were standing just off the green where Jack Nicklaus's grandson/caddie hit that hole in one... the place went absolutely bonkers. One of the loudest cheers I've ever heard, it was an incredible moment to witness live. I've watched the replay on YouTube a ton of times and it never gets old seeing it. It was really cool. (side note, I was also about 20 yards from Tony Finau last year when he hit his par 3 hole in one, and then dislocated his ankle celebrating it. that was pretty wild also)

I'm not in a pool for the 1st time in 4 years. I had gone with Phil, Sergio (Won), and Casey the last 3.

1. Tough year for me to pick anyone. I have to go with Dustin Johnson.

2. I'd be happy if in order one of Freddie, Phil, Fowler, or Poulter won.

3. I'll watch a lot at home.

4. 10th

5. For a pure feel good moment it has to be Jack's win in '86. I also have memories of my hero Arnie winning although the coverage was minimal.

Some guy bet 85K on Tiger Woods to win Masters at 14 to 1 at William Hill in Nevada yesterday.
i thought this was an interesting betting story tied to the Masters I saw the other day.

A Canadian guy signed up with Bet365 in the summer and got a free $20 bet. He used it on a three way parlay on Kyler Murray winning the Heisman at 25-1, the Rams winning the NFC at 6 1/2 -1, and Hideki Matsuyama winning the Masters at 11-1.

If Matsuyama wins this weekend, the parlay pays off at 7000-1 odds and the free bet gives the bettor about $100,000.

Problem between his ears.

Yesterday the talking heads were questioning whether his team was giving him the proper advice. They were saying he was trying to hit the perfect shot with the perfect swing (thinking too much) instead of just playing the game as he was when he was in contention seemingly every week.

I always thought his strive for perfection was a bad way to play golf. He complains on good shots.

Yeah, it's great TV watching and listening to him but it has to really wear on someone when you're doing it all the time.

Jason Day bends over to pick up his daughter on the practice green and hurts his back. He needed treatment on the 2nd hole and looks to be in a whole lot of pain.

What happened to Speith? He's been tanking for the past 2 years.
Too many swing changes, he no longer has his own swing. But he's a supremely talented, feel player. He'll find something he can play with sooner or later. Probably sooner, he's at Augusta.

Tiger's game is razor sharp through 11. Just a few mis-reads.

Tiger seems to be driving the ball very well. If a few putts drop watch out.

Problem between his ears.
He's just 25, has one Masters victory, two seconds, the lowest scoring average in the field for the past five years at Augusta and was in contention until he clipped a tree on 18 last year, so he deserves some slack. Don't think its his head; rather a desire to fix his iron play.

He's at -2 after birdieing 13, 1 stroke off the lead (Rahm and Harding and Rahm is playing with Tiger). He'll be in it on Sunday, IMO.

And Tiger drains a ~25-footer on 14 for birdie to tie for the lead at -3. He hit his tee shot way left and had to hit a 20x20 yard window in the trees with his iron and he hit it perfectly, leaving the makeable putt.

On #1 Phil pushed his drive over the trees to a different fairway. Played his 2nd back over the trees to about 30 feet from the pin. 2 putts and we have just another, everyday Phil Par lol. -1 after 5.

Rory saving his Masters with three birds on four holes here on the back. First day is shaping up to be a dandy.

Looks like someone stuffed Phil into his shirt this morning. But he's about to go to -2.

1.Thinking Rahm or Rose.(won't cheat now bear close of day 1)
2.Hoping Rory or Ricky.
3. I am currently glued to my couch watching on 65 inch HDFS for 4 days. Downloaded 2019 Masters FREE app off of youtube.tv (my streaming service) with all the bells and whistles. Amen corner, 15/16. Featured groups, stats, etc.
4. No clue
5. Tom Watson or the guy who's coach died week before .
6. Heartbreak moment. Chris DiMarco losing to woods,
