Rutgers vs Maryland / Game Thread

[NickRU714]

How many times are we going to waste 1st down by running up the middle for 2 yards against 14 defenders at the LOS?

[newell138]

I feel like I’m watching the Giants

[RUonBrain]

Abraham great in coverage!

2x now
Great timing
Not interfering with the punt receiver

The punter delaying the kick is working brilliantly
Nice coaching

And young guys making those plays is also nice to see

Maybe there's hope for the future?

I'm not even joking when I say our best offensive play this year is roughing the passer.

I made that joke last week, lol. Sitkowski's longest pass is 29 yards and his 11 INTs lead the nation. By 3 friggin' INTs.

[MYHATINTHERING]

Effort has been impressive today though I'd have to say.

better effort but it looks like MD has not opened the playbook and playing very vanilla

[sct1111]

I like that we're blitzing.

He needs to take off and run for a first.

[RU848789]

Defense is tackling way better than usual - no idea why - coaching, lol?

[Extra Point_rivals157299]

The officials seem to be in Maryland's pocket.

effort

[Abro1975]

Ugh. Gave another huge run. 7-0

[RUonBrain]

There it is
Ugh

[RUSK97]

Maybe there's hope for the future?

No, there isn’t. It’s the Rutgers way.

[RutHut_rivals]

We give up a lot of big plays.

Dude! The jinx lives

[brgRC90]

And so it begins.

[theRU]

who is #5? That dude was stuck in quicksand on that run

As I hit "post reply" the ball was snapped on that 65 yard run. Oh well.

[ScarletNYC]

LMAO

[AntiG]

Game over

[LevaosLectures]

Welp.

[MYHATINTHERING]

and the backer just watches the runningback hit the hole being late to fill the gap. wtf

[RutgersRaRa]

We give up a lot of big plays.

And make none of our own. Recipe for losses.

[sct1111]

No, there isn’t. It’s the Rutgers way.

whoops you're right

[BeantownKnight]

I was about to say that we are about to end the first quarter tied. No score. I was happy about that. The defense seems to be playing pretty well.

And then, of course, we gave up a big play, on a run, where we shouldn't have. Big hole opened up.

[tychicus.]

spoke too soon

[LevaosLectures]

I was just saying wow were gonna have a scoreless first quarter on D.

[RutgersRaRa]

Wow. Just fvcking wow.

[shields]

Thought they held Tverdov.

[RUfromNJ]

At least we made it to the end of the first to embarrass ourselves.

[soundcrib]

Buttgers

[scarlet_ty_rivals]

Lol.

[brgRC90]

Yeah this looks more like what we're used to seeing.

[ScarletNYC]

Hahaahahaha

[RutHut_rivals]

Yard work here I come.

[ru1869]

We are dead in the water.
Not aggressive at all.
We are like shooting fish in a barrel
Disgusting

[RU848789]

OMFG - that might be the worst play of the year and that's saying a lot...

[sct1111]

It's so strange rooting for a team where any given defensive play against the run can be a TD.

[formerlyknownasrutgers100]

those 2 plays exemplify the ash era. Fire him.
