When I see/hear the phrase "Absolute Loyalty" we are done. Good for Avery though.

Either the talent level is lacking or we have poor coaching. The results speak for themselves. Either way, we are unable to compete.

To be fair and factual, the initial tweet asked fans to keep the faith. Responses from fans called out their issues with Ash. What’s the kid supposed to say publicly? I wouldn’t use one player’s obligatory responses as validation that Ash hasn’t lost the team.

He could have chosen not to respond at all... But he didn't. It has to mean something. Remember last week another player was laughing at Ash on Twitter

Just playing Devil’s advocate here... it is possible that he replied as he did rather than not at all figuring if he didn’t it could be perceived as agreeing with the fan regarding Ash.

Smart thing to do is not tweet at all...

I'm not so sure if everyone on the team agrees with Avery. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot if Ash recruits support him while some Flood recruit do not.

Freshman who has been on the team for four games? Probably gets stuffed in a locker by Blessuan for his tweets.

Nice sentiments but this team is absolutely horrible and it's horrible to watch. And it's ranked dead last among P5 teams by a wide margin. There's no beauty in bad football.

He said in struggle. You obviously missed his point.

Weird in general. Ash is an abject failure though. You clowns coming out of the woodwork to still support him is comical at this point.

There were players supporting Brady Hoke at Michigan. Too bad they didn't stay the course and let him play out his contract.

yeah Hoke staying at Michigan would have been great for RU.
Good to see Young sticking by his Coach...Ash has started him as a true frosh at CB when he really does not belong on the field now....would not be on the 2 deep yet at most programs. Loyalty

This kid has class and character - I’d take him in a foxhole any day with me. Yeah things downright suck right now, but this kid has chosen to keep moving forward, make the best of a bad situation keep grinding and not quit. Happy to see this kind of attitude coming from within the team in a less than ideal situation.

Have not scanned the roster--is there anybody else more experiienced to start at CB?
Many here were confident the DBs was going to be the RU position of strength this year. What a reversal of fortune.

I got his point just fine but there's nothing in there for the fans. The players can struggle to get better all they want and find something in it. But for the fans it's just painful to watch and this team isn't even getting better. It seems to be getting worse as the season goes on.

He started him because Bless got hurt, Avery was hurt, two of the corners managed to get their dumb *** involved in stealing credit cards, so a freshman becomes #4 on the depth chart, and gets to play. Ash has no other choice.

Stop worrying about tweeting college kids. The kid addressed the fans; it's natural to respond. I would hope everyone did so in a respectful way, because obviously this kid has a good head on his shoulders. But it is totally reasonable to respond, and there is no beauty in the struggle when a historically bad P5 team embarrasses you the week before you lose by 30 to a MAC team at home. There just isn't.

Good to see a kid like that in the program, though. Have to respect him.
