When does the Flood blame game end? The new staff put a lot of energy into this recruit. He was a kicker. Blaming Flood for this loss is silly. The first part of your paragraph makes more sense. Like it or not, we are at the bottom of the B1G pecking order with Indiana and Purdue and Maryland. That is the reason why we lost this recruit.
Does ODU or Buffalo have a kicking recruit we can poach?

Who's blaming Flood for this loss. My point was Flood and his staff has put us in a hole overall and do you not see drastic changes on how the new staff is operating that how Flood's staff operated. If you don't see the difference than I don't know what to tell you.

Most of Flood's best recruits were just holding a spot until they got a better offer, haven't you been paying attention

He held a spot with Ash for over a month before he decommitted.

Exactly. The other schools are poaching us like eggs. Ash over time will stop this but it may take a few years.

Around here about 2025.
When you hire a bad coach and he lasts for 4 years it affects the program for years. The problems Flood caused didn't end the day he was fired.

I dunno. I read your original post in this thread which is about Barbir decommitting, and you said " Flood and his staff has put us in a gigantic hole and C. Ash and team have a lot of work to overcome." Putting 2 and 2 together, it seemed you were putting this loss on Flood because your statement was in a thread about losing Barbir. I am well aware of the difference between the old staff and the new staff.

Ummm OK, if that makes you feel better. He would've decommited 3 months ago, if he got the offer he wanted. In fact, he would've never committed in the first place if he got the offer he wanted.

And you know that for a fact because he told you so?

This staff cannot keep any commits. Who is next, Mack, Wright, Johnson?

So perhaps the decommittment had little to nothing with who the HC was? Or should we apportion part of the blame to Terry Shea?

The Flood comment was the 2nd part, my initial comment is how disappointing the Barbir decommit is to PSU. He was just over for a weekend of Lobster and hand holding and still decommits on a moments notice. Until C. Ash and staff can change the perceptions, we are still going to be 2nd fiddle for top recruits when it comes to others in our division. Winning cures everything!

In addition these recruits are wanted by the likes of UNC, VT, Pitt, PSU, Illinois, BC and other P5 schools. We on the other hand are now going after ODU, Buffalo, Temple or other recruits who had no D1 offers.

So stop the Flood bashing unless you want the ASH bashing to begin in full earnest.

lol...thank goodness you guys have Sandusky to rely on in these situations.

Nah, not necessary. I'm okay with losing a recruit who actually decides they'd prefer to play for a life-size penis who likely has less credibility than a used car salesman and presides over a morally bankrupt football program..

I find it hysterical that those that went down on the Flood Titanic still say everyone else is wrong. "He was a great guy...everyone liked him." Wrong and Wrong! Smoke and mirrors with a ton of lies is the best way to describe him.

I know it is nitpicking but where the tweet? It seems to be standard practice for flippers nationwide. Is it just me or does this situation sound strange.

If Rutgers wants to make a excellent decision regarding their athletic program, they should apply for membership to the AAC conference. It is pretty obvious that the school is in "way over their heads" when competing against BIG schools. You have become the punching bag of the Big Ten conference!!

Am I missing something here but doesn't psu have two freshman kickers already. The fat little rolly polly kid went 10-12 on FGs and the other kid went 8-8 on FGs. What's Babir coming in to be the kickoff specialist. Have fun sitting for three years kid when you could have come here and started from day one.

Time for you to run along back to dysfunctional land. The collective hive of the cult can't figure out the answer to 1+1 without all of it's members present.

Joe Julius (the, ah, one with the high BMI) may be cut. Apparently the PSU staff told him to get his fitness in order and he has not been able to. He also has a very low trajectory on FG tries and is very hit-or-miss on kickoff.

Tyler Davis is accurate from close in (8 for 8 as you mentioned) but is questionable beyond 40. He also has kickoff issues.

Nordin (the kid who is likely flipping to UM) probably would have been a 4 year starter at Penn State. Not sure how Barbir compares.

It's ironically funny that you used that phrase. "Way over their heads" is what the rest of the civilized college football word uses to describe PSU fans who utterly fail to understand exactly what their beloved program and the cult-ure surrounding it did wrong for the past 15 or more years.

Yeah he did, when he jumped for joy for getting a PSU offer then decommited.

The irony is hilarious, when kids decommited under Flood they were disloyal backstabbers and not true 'Rutgers Men'. We don't need them. Now when they decommit it's all Ash's fault and he can't recruit, blah, blah, blah. You mention 3 kids that might decommit but you leave out the fact that they have been on the fence for months if not from the beginning.

Flood ALWAYS built his classes with kids that accepted an early offer while waiting for what they thought was a better offer...Ash changed some kids minds but some kids already have their minds made up to flip if they get the chance, Barbir is the perfect example of that. Most of the decommits were looking around for months and probably would've decommited no matter who was the coach. In the long run we're better off with Ash and recruits that truly want to be here.

Now I can finally say it-good riddance to the fairy and his skinny jeans. Any guy who wears them or tight pants is suspect in my book.
The pic of him and Coach Okruch was incredibly gay.

you would think a kid who is so faith based would also have the character to honor a commitment he made and not walk out a week before signing. Sad but not surprised.

When does the Flood blame game end?
- should have ended immediately with Barchi's termination of Flood's tenure
- what is done is done- it has no relevance to what needs to be done going forward.
If you loved Flood, too bad - he's gone. If you hated Flood, OK it is over, he's gone.

There are a lot of things that will be done differently - some because they need to done better - some simply because there will be different people doing them.

Ohhh, that sounds like a threat, lol. Ash has clearly decided that he is going to use the limited time he has left in the recruiting cycle to go after kids he can get and will contribute to the program in a positive way. He could've spent the past month chasing a bunch of 4 stars, came up short, then handed out schollies like candy but we all know how that works out, lol.
