2016 Uniforms

Was watching the women's soccer semi yesterday and thinking WTF how are we the Scarlet Knights and in black for this game??????? So agree 100% our primary needs to be scarlet or we need to change our name.
Rutgers was rumored to get either a 4th set or brand new unis in 2016. However, that may not nothing to do with these.
Hate them, I wish we could use the ones from the Insight Bowl year. I like those, simple, gives an identity, classic
A friend of mine who works at Nike sent me these. They were based on a throwback uni I believe. That being said I don't know if the plan is to use these for next year, but I love them.
That necvk yoke.. Saw it often this year.. What's the deal with the job parallel lines leading into the R... Many teams have this... Whats the deal? Is it structural?Thoughts?

I don't know. It's part of the Nike Pro Combat jersey design they have. I have no idea what it actually does. I know for the NFL jerseys that Nike makes, the teams were given the option to not use it.
I also like the idea. Pair the red home jersey with white pants and the white helmet with red block r. Pair white road jerseys with the red helmet and grey pants.
Hopefully the new AD gets us back to being primarily SCARLET and white, and stop chasing the silly overused black fad.
My only problem with these is that they look almost EXACTLY like Nebraska's/Wisconsin's red unis. I don't like our current red uniforms, but I do like not blending in with the crowd.

The White's look good and Black's look good as long as we don't get our *** kicked in the Red's that would be good.
Always thought I'd like the shoulder stripe. But they look too much like Nebraska
Actually don't mind black once in a while as an alternate uniform, but for almost all big games we need to be in a mostly scarlet colored uniform - otherwise just looks dumb IMO. I guess Nike came up with the idea for the black, but I'm guessing we had to approve it too. Looks like some bonehead decisions by several different people.
helmets were red with white R and black center stripe. Not sure why the black stripe but apparently that's the way the helmets used to be.
+1 or adding Black and maybe gray.
I am a traditionalist for uniforms and don't like a lot of the new crazy ones. The only exception is I liked the helmets Maryland wore against us. It looks like a brain with the Maryland logos.
There were rumors and this was hinted by Flood, so it wasn't random, that Nike was going to do something new for 2016.
Now I don't know if it will be all new uniforms, a 4th set, or just a refresh of the current ones. But, something is happening.
Nike is the only ones that design these things, the most Coach Ash can do is ask them to design something more traditional.

We need to lose the white helmets. White helmets are for losers. The more I think about it the less I like stripes. None on the helmet, pants or shoulders. Scarlet and white jerseys. Same for pants but scarlet pants are NEVER to be worn with scarlet jerseys. They look like pajamas. White jerseys scarlet pants ok.

When Iowa, Mich St, Mich, OSU, Neb take the field EVERYONE around the world knows who they are and their values (or lack there of).
Why do we have to be jerks and change our uni's and look like Halloween costume fools?
Make the uniforms in this thread our uniform with the classic red R helmet or bring back the '05's and actually look like somebody.
And the current unis look like Ohio State, UNLV, Western Kentucky, Washington State
If it were up to me, the players would always wear black. Black shoes, socks, pants, jersey's, helmets, face-masks, gloves, athletic tape - if they wear it, it should be black. The only other colors would be a bright scarlet block R on the sides of the helmets and on the sides of the shoulders, with white numbering on the jerseys.

WTF...It's a uniform, and the fake scratches and disappearing names and numbers suck
Maybe Nike can dust these off since ASU switched to adidas. Replace Yellow with Red. Maybe we could get the knight sword version of the ASU pitchfork on the helmet. I hope we could get a complete Nike rebrand and finally lose the dumb knight helmet battleship looking logo.
