It’s good for a guard to have in his game. He just needs to actually float it. That was a line drive.

I really liked the unselfish post passing between Williams and Young. They missed a couple of gimmes but also executed nicely a couple times too.

FDU lost to Seton Hall by 40. It’s not easy to lose by that many. Teams slow down, give minutes to bench players.

I like a lot of what I’m seeing tonight, but FD is clearly overmatched here. The one negative so far is how much were packing the paint and giving up the threes. I’m hoping that’s scouting on FD because the conference will seriously punish us for that.
Also, like what I’ve seen from Roper now that I’m looking for him.

He scores by being crafty and smart not strong and fast. His post scoring isn’t the part of his game I’d change.

Yes, it looked dumb because we could see the whole court, but he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head.

Cats have an interesting mix of players and are actually 9 or 10 deep. They have some experience Coupled with size, shooting and athleticism. This could be an interesting season.

BigTen conference was incredibly strong last year, but may be a bit softer this year. That coupled with a stronger NU team is good timing for cats.

Williams needs 25 minutes a night! That kid can pass the ball! He looks like a pro someday!

Buie has been disappointing today. The And-1 was nice, but we definitely need him to be much better if we want a chance at going 2-0 in Newark.

The bottom half of the conference is weak. This will hurt the SOS for the middle of the conference. I hope we will there or higher.

I really like Roper. He does a lot of the little things very well. Jumps straight up when blocking a shot. Boxes out. Passes well. Active hands. Doesn’t foul much. Just seems like he’s got the complete package.

This second unit really struggles to score.

I really like Roper. He does a lot of the little things very well. Jumps straight up when blocking a shot. Boxes out. Passes well. Active hands. Doesn’t foul much. Just seems like he’s got the complete package.

He will be a solid player. Fluid on both offense and defense. Plays within himself. Not as explosive as Buie and doesn't have quite as nice of a jump shot as Berry, but early indications are he can be a backup that doesn't lead to a huge drop-off on either end.
