Huh? That was a member of the House asking questions and that was Ambassador Sondland answering the questions under oath.
That he is drawing his own conclusions on and has no direct evidence? Much the same as Bill Taylor, the Whistleblower, and Vindman?

It's almost as if he's a serial liar. Water might be wet.

Are you even capable of distinguishing the difference between a "serial" liar and a "congenital" liar?

Not helpful to Team Trump. He (finally) told the truth and now he feels better. Trump isn't worth lying for.

In a substantial update to his initial account, Gordon D. Sondland recounted how he told Ukrainian officials military aid was tied to their commitment to investigations President Trump wanted.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/05/us/politics/impeachment-trump.html?action=click&module=Top Stories&pgtype=Homepage

There's a major gaping hole in his testimony. It conflicts with his original closed door testimony, which means he either perjured himself then or is perjuring himself now. Even worse, the chronology of his timeline no where reflects the actual process of approving and ultimately releasing the money to Ukraine without the so called "quid-pro-quo" he now alleges!

You cannot make a square peg fit into a round hole, and this "updated" testimony is just an attempt to fill holes in his original testimony.

Once gain, that was either perjured testimony when he gave it, or this testimony being passed off as an "update" is perjured. Either way, he's no longer a credible witness. Two versions of the same story...not credible.

There was no quid pro quo, only QuidProJoe

Isn't it amazing how they're all bent out of shape over Trump simply asking what happened to the investigation that was already underway about Biden, his son, and Ukraine's "interference" in the 2016 election? None of them are even half way interested in that, but they know for sure Trump held up aid for Ukraine unless they looked into it. o_O

I wonder what Biden was up to that Trump was so interested in? How he played Grand master Chess with Ukraine's best?

So if you were in real world court instead of Adam Schiffs make believe political court and you gave testimony 2 times and the 2 testimonies were exactly the opposite, what would happen?

Oh Hello! Can you say witness tampering? Perjury? Why was the "updated" and more complete version released and the first testimony was kept under wraps until elements of the entire story began to unravel?

Can anyone on the Left explain that?

You really should look up the definition - if you actually know how to search the internet or use a dictionary.

Can you tell us exactly when the Ukrainian aid was held up, and exactly when it was released after the investigation into Biden (the dreadful "quid-pro-quo") began?

The money obviously was held up and wasn't released until after the investigation began, otherwise there is no quid-pro-quo correct?

OK then...explain that timeline for us? It's the heart of the impeachment case YOU are sure is going down.

So explain it? Give us dates that make all the pieces of this illegal puzzle fit together?

(Don't go all silent, now is your time to shine!)

Run it country....

Did Biff intend to withhold payments to pressure Ukraine to investigate Biden?

Yes.

Game, set, match.
Did Biden intend to withhold fund if Ukraine didn't fire the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma ? According to his video he gave them 6 hours to make a decision....

That is not something the Left cares about nor even recognizes. Trump wanted it investigated, and he threatened funds to Ukraine unless they looked into it. That's the crime, not Biden's threat to keep money away from them unless they fired the prosecutor who was already investigating it. [eyeroll]

Get it?

I still haven't read the part of transcript where Trump withheld money to Ukraine until investigation of Burisma continued.

You should read it.

You essentially called me "too stupid" to understand what every other American can easily see. Just like your "collusion" boasts. I have to admit I did miss that while you clearly saw it all before anyone else. Unfortunately you never explained it to the rest of us.

Now once again, here you are with all of the information on this latest Trump illegal dalliance with a Foreign adversary, and you refuse to lay it all out for us despite your conviction he's going to be impeached over it.

I can't keep up with your omniscience. [eyeroll]

Why are you so stingy with your intelligence as well as your 250K income?

Is this a "quid pro quo"?
I just wanted to assure you once again that you _have nobody but friends around-us

so according to the actual transcript that anyone can read the "quid pro quo" was:
  • an expression of gratitude for Ukraine's cooperation
  • an expression of US support for Ukraine
  • a request asking for Ukraine's help
  • A further request for Ukraine to look into whatever they can
  • A pledge of support, and promise of continued mutual friendship
That's it! We're going to impeach a President over the "high crime" of a "quid pro quo" that is represented by an expression of gratitude, an expression of support, a request for assistance, and a pledge of support!

No demands, or threats, or promises of retaliation (ie: do this or else) not even a promise to withhold or withdraw anything! Nothing. Simply expressions of cooperation, gratitude, and support or assistance to root out corruption!

We're going to impeach the President for this?o_O

Go ahead Leftists.

@countryroads89

OK, so in post #119 I went through the portion of the Trump transcript phone call to Ukrainian President Zelensky you posted, and I'm sorry I did not find the "quid pro quo" YOU said the rest of the USA sees?

I didn't see any threats, promises, or coercion to do something in exchange for something else. I didn't see any money discussed, I didn't see anything withheld. I did see promised cooperation, and sincere requests for their assistance getting to the bottom of ongoing Ukrainian fraud. But no threats, no bullying, no ultimatums like "I've got six hours, if that prosecutor isn't fired, you're not getting the money!" Nothing like that.

What am I missing? Point it out to me because YOU said I'm too stupid to understand.

Educate me.
