Yes, they are. From your own link.
A clear genetic link would suggest that gay people are “born this way,”
You f’ucking moron.
This from the following link:
The regions on chromosome 7 and 8 were associated with male sexual orientation regardless of whether the man got them from his mother or father.

Stupid Brushy
When I met my gay SIL she was 6. They were already having trouble getting her to wear dresses. I don't think she had chosen a sexual orientation at that point.Stupid TJ, the research pretty much blows up the whole gay genetic marker theory. What it does not do is uncover what makes people attracted to the same sex. They think that it is connected to smell and risky behavior. In other words, having sex with a same sex partner is a choice but may be driven by genetic markers that make certain people take more risks than others. "Born this way" is the new "hands up don't shoot" liberal slogan.

You’re an idiot and you prove it again.
it does not matter a bit. This thread irrelevant and baseless. Why does it matter if a gay person “can’t help it” or if they choose it?.
Has this guy always been this ignorant
Several studies have identified the section of a homosexual's brain that controls sexuality that looks like the corresponding section of a woman's brain. I saw this at different times in the San Francisco Chronicle and either Time or Newsweek. Is that better or worse than being a fu*king moran? I forgot the redneck insult scale. Dave Chappelle's latest act has a pretty good spin on it.
My brothers two kids are gay as well as his step daughter. He now thinks they were born that way. My niece who is 17 now says she might not be a lesbian as she has a crush on a boy. She is confused.
My niece on the other side of the family just graduated from college and is living with her female lover. She does not identify as a lesbian as she says she is not female. She could be a model and is pretty prissy. Lesbians give them a hard time.
My wife's best friend is a lesbian, but admits she just like to Fu*k men sometimes. Her adopted daughter (her ex-wife and her flew to SA and bought a baby) decided she was a lesbian. She was to marry her girlfriend next month. Her girlfriend just broke it off, costing our friend 40K in wedding deposits. She is already shacking up with some guy she used to bang in college.
Fact is, some humans like what they like, and that is the way it is. The research ruled out a specific genetic marker that some said was a "gay" gene. Have they found the beasteality (don't want to spell it) gene yet? How about the foot fetish gene?

Ask yourselves. Why would Almighty God call something a "Sin" (ie Homosexuality) that you have no power to resist or control? You can't change your skin color or your natural born sex as either a male or Female, but you can change who YOU choose to sleep with.
Now, if you reject the idea of an Almighty God (most Gay people do) then you start making excuses for your choice to Sin instead of looking for ways to repent from it.
Most gay people don't believe in God? I'd like to see a source for that.
Old religious books call a lot of things a sin that we think are fine today and old religious books think a lot of things are fine that we think are awful today, such as slavery. I think the idea is that we need to reinterpret old religious books from time to time.
Doesn't the Old Testament say something like, people shouldn't wear clothing made of two different fabrics? Let's all take a look at our shirt tags. If we have on a cotton / polyester blend we're upsetting God.
You don't reinterpret scripture to suit the times that you live in. You conform yourself and your society to it's precepts or you pay the consequences. Also, CONTEXT is fundamental to understanding scripture. It's what you guys NEVER understand.
I dont think it matters yet we spend how much money every year studying it. It must matter to someone. Why does it matter if a gay person “can’t help it” or if they choose it?
One of my nephews is gay. He graduated in three years from an excellent private college, with a double mathematics degree of some kind. He holds down a substantial job with a major corporation and earns a solid living. He does Jump Day at the New River Bridge every year. He treats me, my wife, and kids tremendously. His dog is well-trained. He’s a good family member. And so on and so on. He and i disagree on politics somewhat, but in a respectful way. I love him as a member of my family and as a good human being who treats others with kindness and respect. I could not care less if he chose his lifestyle or not. He’s happy and he is not doing any harm to society or anyone else.
That is EXACTLY what Muslim fundamentalists believe. That's why they want to live like it's the 7th century, because it's when the Qu'ran was written. No thanks, the modern world will dump both them and you on the scrap heap of history.

Ah, I see the problem. You don't know the difference between Islam and Christianity. Well, that's a shame.
Yeah, people have been saying that about Christianity for 2 millennia.
I said crazy fundamentalists would. It has mostly already happened with crazy fundamentalist Christians, although because of people like you they're making a bit of a comeback
You mentioned the Qu'ran which I agree is already anachronistic but I'm curious if you feel the same way about the Bible why so much time is spent on the Left trying to discredit it? I rarely hear the Left attacking the Muslim Holy book as much as they aim their fiery arrows at what the Bible has to say.
Why?
Ironically, both the Bible and the Qu'ran specifically forbid Homosexuality, yet most modern day Leftists completely ignore Islam's strict prohibitions against it and vociferously attack Christians and/or Christianity for its admonitions against it.
Why?
Do you ever hear Leftists calling members of Islam "homophobes" as frequently as they refer to Christians that way?
Why not?
What Christians are you aware of who kill Homosexuals in public or remove their genitals or other extremities if caught in the act as they do in many Islamic Republics that operate under Sharia Law? Ever hear anyone on the Left condemning those practices?
Why not?
You're 100% correct. There is a big chunk of the Left that is completely hypocritical on this issue. They'll condemn Christians for things and then when Muslims do the exact same thing or worse, they'll not only not say a word, but if anyone objects, they'll attack the objector.
If you're in favor of gay rights only in certain circumstances, then you're not in favor of gay rights.
If you're in favor of women's rights only in certain circumstances, then you're not in favor of women's rights.
If you're in favor of freedom of expression only in certain circumstances, then you're not in favor of freedom of expression.
If you're in favor of freedom of (or from) religion only in certain circumstances, then you're not in favor of freedom of (or from) religion.
Etc. On and on. And yes, a chunk of the Left are failing big time on these. Some on the Right are too, although their failure is usually of just not being in favor of those things in the first place, rather than pretending they're in favor of them but not actually being so.
All True (mostly) but I was curious if you could explain why the Left reserves its OUTRAGE over this issue (Homosexuality) for Christians when in fact practicing Muslims or Islam itself is much more intolerant?
Any ideas?
Because some of them have anti-Western values at their core. All the things I named are values generated and/or popularized in the West, some more recently than others. If you're anti-West then whatever the West is for, you're against.
The West wouldn't exist without Christianity. It is one of the foundational pillars.
Are you referring to folks on the Left, or Muslims?

Worst OT board Bible interpretation ever.
You interpret with CONTEXT as a key factor in doing so.You "interpret?" You're going to have some problems with atl and brushy then. They say we're not supposed to interpret.
