Biff is a 1 trick pony. He had no cohesive plan, just push the opposition until they back down. Didn't happen here. Not happening in tariff war. And he's ignoring the collateral damage that's mounting.

We will see where we are on Feb 15th.

I suspect that the Dems won't negotiate in good faith, and allow Trump to go the National Emergency route.

One thing I like is that since the Trump shutdown failure, Senate Repubs (along with some cabinet officials) have finally woken up and are starting to push back on Trump's nonsense, lies and bad ideas. That is a big change from the first 2 years and not a good sign for DT.

Dems won't budge and Biff will be forced to choose a different path, whatever it is. He needs a new playbook.

The 35 day shutdown was a total disaster for Trump. Shutdown in 3 weeks is not an option. political suicide.

A few soft soundbites is hardly "pushing back".

It's a start and compared to crickets it is. Now that some are finding their voices, maybe we'll see more Repubs challenging Trump going forward.

The problem is the republican party is filled with republicans. The outcome in '16 was Trump.

For the GOP in '20, it's only going to happen again.

Mine was not a 2020 election comment, I'm talking right here and now during his admin. I have no idea whether another Repub will challenge him in 2020.
