to shut his freaking trap. Good lord. He just got beat down in embarrassing fashion and he's still running his trap.

Stop asking the question. What part about it isn’t true? There is no reason why the games aren’t played, it was WVU who decided not to play it. Bottom line is MU and WVU don’t need each other for what both schools are trying to accomplish, but it has been and was a fun game to see on the schedule every year.

They aren't played because you need us a helluva lot more than we need you. However, your coaches just keep running their f'n traps and talking ****. We don't need to be playing you at all, and the Capital Classic was always the absolute worst f'n game you could ever watch. Multiple technicals, everybody on both teams in foul trouble. Just ugly, ugly games.

MU doesn’t need WVU anymore than WVU needs us. This year proved that, and in football it’s no different.

Then it's settled. No need to play.

Although I'll say that if you think you have a chance to get in the tournament repeatedly that it would help to play a tournament team or two sometime during the season. Maybe then some of your players (Elmore in particular) won't be so cocky and issue defacto challenges to the best defender in the nation and get embarrassed.

We play some of the best guards in the nation week in and week out. You know Carter saw those quotes and was salivating.

Your flops could use a little work too, although you did get away with one.

So, the excuse used to be: Can't play the Herd due to SOS, RPI, bad rims in civic center, etc.

Now the excuse is: Rival coach talks smack to our school.

Glad Michigan still plays against Michigan State, despite the fans, coaches talking smack to one another. Same with pretty much any other in-state rivalry.

Those schools are on the same level. Or to put it in a way that maybe even somebody as challenged as yourself can understand ... when a team has a ****** RPI and does absolutely nothing to help in anyway, why put up with trash talk from them?

Does WKU talk **** to Kentucky?

Difference being, WV only has two D1 programs. I know you like to refer to others as challenged, but at least my challenged body is still intact. How about yours?

All the time and beat their *** on the gridiron last time they played...which lead to the series being cancelled. UK won't play WKU in football or basketball.

Because it's more exciting to play Marshall in basketball, than say, Morgan State or Marist. Because it's more exciting to play Marshall in football, than say, Delaware State or Youngstown State. Seemed to me the state of WV was more fired up over this basketball tilt than you were against a higher seeded Murray State squad.

All games you listed were in Morgantown.

If y'all were so interested in the basketball series why didn't your fans show up in Charleston? Crowds were like 80/20 in favor of WVU.

Not sure that's true but easily remedied...just tell both schools you have to sell 6,000 seats or pay for them yourselves. Split the gate, toss the ball up and play a basketball game that a the end of the day means nothing past two hours of entertainment.

Take it up with the fans that littered social media in regard to the game, as well as all WV related media outlets. Check out your own board forums. More activity/posts in regard to playing than Herd than Murray. Likely won't be as much activity playing Nova as there was playing the Herd.

That's not the point though, as Delaware State, Youngstown, Marist, etc. aren't quite close contests either. Just saying the in-state game brings more enthusiasm than playing some of those stiffs.

It's all about the talk and media activity for the herd and not actually about winning the game

Never said we wouldn’t go to Morgantown

You're partly correct. What D'antoni said he wanted was Morgantown/Charleston one year, and Huntington/Charleston the next year. Think about that - He's saying that he wants two neutral site games where WVU provides 3/4 of the attendance and has to split the gate evenly, and a game in Huntington in exchange for one return game in Morgantown. I don't blame Huggs for telling him to find someone else to play.

Saw Huggins presser the other night, and he stated Marshall was too far away, something like 400 miles away. Did WV change states with Montana or something?

Marshall is always welcome to visit the Coliseum for the annual beat down they so desperately desire.
