Odd to do it at a ceremony for Native Americans and in front of an Andrew Jackson portrait.
I don't disagree. I don't think he claimed he was an Aborigine or anything though.

She lied and dengraded those she, so falsely, claimed to be part of just so she could receive benefits/positions to which she was not entitled.

Ok. Still not sure why he had to bring it up at this ceremony? And the Andrew Jackson painting was literally a plot point for an episode of House of Cards, except they actually removed the painting before the ceremony. Just more white American Nationalism for the Bannon, Moore, THE wing of the party. Sad!
Obviously you've followed this story closely, did they do DNA testing or other and show that she has no (or not enough) native American heritage?
