And to think that Crouch got put on probation for an $8 sandwich. College Football is a joke anymore. At least we have enough money to pay up! 🤣 😐

This is exactly what we need. Out paying other schools for talent. Pulling more players out of KC. More quality lineman.

If money is your best advantage then that’s what you lean into. OSU is using their financial advantages to buy the best roster possible, if we’re not doing the same we’re openingly admitting winning matters more to them. And that’s beyond unacceptable.

Totally agree fire Satt, Foley, and McGuire. Get an offensive staff on the cheap that is young, hungry, and knows how to use analytics. With the money saved go get the best talent that it can buy.

Good get. Even his honesty is telling. Need as much talent in as possible and development must maximize those here.

Downside is his truth about cash also shows the struggle of loyalty and what it means and to what is that loyalty?

Well sorta… We need to spend all the money possible to get the best staff and also spend all the money possible to get the best players. (both) Remember, these are 2 different pools of money. Money to buy players comes from private organizations, (collectives or private companies) money to buy coaches comes from the AD’s budget and/or private donations. We have plenty of money for both and we need to spend what it takes to win.

Maximizing your resources isn’t the end all be all of winning. But if there’s someone else out spending you, it’s hard to say/claim you’ve done everything possible to win.

Since players can be paid now why should they go to school? Just be a farm system for the NFL and they should subsidize the colleges

Tough to get the NFL to agree to subsidize CFB like a farm league. Why buy the cow when they’ve been getting the milk for free? (For many years) But, if you can get the owners and commissioner on it I think that money, if distributed fairly, could further balance/level the playing field and create more parity. If that’s what we’re after…

Ill be surprised if this kid will ever be a player. Charmin soft from people around that high school. Questionable work ethic. Will be a “project.”

Now when we can recruit a few of these studs per year and they pan out as rated, maybe, just maybe we will turn the corner.

We offered more $$$ than Oregon, Alabama, and Georgia?
No one knows, but it's most likely that those offers were either uncommitable offers or maybe commitable but those schools were recruiting him lightly.

My question is what kind of money is he referring to? Is he just referring to the amount that all freshmen football players get as a monthly stipend/salary while they are here? I'm sure NU can give football players a healthy amount more than KU.
