I think he's coached at NU for along time and seen a lot of different things from different coaches
and has hit the recruiting trail many a time for NU.

so I think he would know what works at NU and what doesn't on the offensive side of the ball.

Have you ever seen the movie Dumb and Dumber? Or the sequel?

Good position coach and motivator, but he wouldn't be elevated to the OC spot.

I know a lot of folks consider themselves purposeless clumps of simian dna...

but I wasn't asking about anyone's theological position..I was saying ron brown seen all the pass happy and he seen dr. toms 3 out of 4 NC running game...

so I would trust his judgement on the matter

Is it safe to assume he's at least taking care of the RB room in the interum since he had great success with that not that long ago? have we heard?

Is this another thread where the OP tries to convince us that Scott frost runs a pass happy offense, even though the stats really don't back him up?

Hey Ron, I know that no program has thought you were coordinator material across 30 years and multiple schools, I know you quit coaching to focus on your ministry, but hey, want $500k to yolo this thing and see what happens?

Maybe NU could make Brown the O-line coach?

Even I pray when I see those guys take the field.

Good man. Great position coach. But there's probably a reason in his long history of coaching that he has never been a coordinator (I don't think he has, anyway).

What does Christian have to do with coaching football? Ahhh nothing so if he can coach and motivate players have at it.
As a newbie, you may not know of the crowd on this board that doesn’t like his stance on things like abortion and same sex relationships.

What's Barney Cotton doing these days? Might as well dust him off.

Last I heard on this board was that Barney was in the hospital. I hope he is doing much better now.

Ron Brown has a role, but OC is not going to be one of them.

He can certainly be a very good influence and motivator on young men and it's something he has worked hard at and given a lot of himself over the years. I admire him for that.

At that time Brown led the hardest hitting and best blocking WR room in all of then known DIV 1

I like the man and He’s certainly done a lot for the University but I think we need to go out of the coaching tree that has been here for the OC position to get a new perspective.

Nice guy and a good enough position coach but OC feels like a stretch imo, my bet is we bring in someone with OC experience. Possibly someone who stepped away from the game and would like to relaunch their coaching career.

Stepp says that while Held was the reason he came to Nebraska and he really likes him, Ron Brown teaches the RBS how to escape and have better runs. Brown did coach some good ones

In Held's defense, he did seem to develop Rahmir into a functional RB for us this season.
