What’s the thinking on Jalen Marshall?

I know at one point there was a FutureCast in for Nebraska.

I think he would be a take for Mizzou and likely where he’ll be committing today.

Sounds like he’s headed to Indiana.

New rumblings that Jalen Marshall is headed to Nebraska. Maybe the start of the Huskers getting back into Kansas successfully. Reminds me of some of the great Husker D linemen of the past.

Marshall looks like a DE and Nebraska just got a CB from Wiltfong for Hayden Schwartz out of Jacksonville. So I don't think Nebraska is in the picture.

So go discuss on the Missouri page. ha ha ha ha

I think the extra push for Marshall in the last 24 hours is part of a plan by Nebraska to draw a 400 mile recruiting circle around neighboring states. Kansas is key turf.

I heard he was at the top of Nebraska's board and I think he was part of that group that they brought in to visit on the first weekend in June. And being from Overland Park, we used to get pretty much everyone we wanted from there. I've seen predictions that have him going to Indiana, Missouri and Oklahoma State. Maybe no one really has a clue and he winds up committing to NU?

Unlike some Missouri fans who will come on here and troll you, I have a serious question. What are realistic expectations for Nebraska’s record this year?

I am feeling a little moderator-like today without the power to lock a thread.

There are plenty of threads about that. I will give you the cliff notes and hope this thread dies a quick painless death.

Anywhere between 3 wins and 9 wins. Most are in the 5-8 win range. Those who think Martinez is great say the success on the team depends on the OLine, those who don't think Martinez is all that great, say it depends on the play of the QB and limiting turnovers. The majority feel like the defense will be the strength of the team.

Nobody knows.

How we start the season is going to determine a lot, but we could just as easily go 3-9 as we could 9-3 during the regular season.

This is a must recruiting win for Frost. It’s never been easier to mine Johnson County. kansas is the worst in college football.

A three star being a must win? That's rich.

Nebraska has never gotten 4 and 5 star kids. Great Husker teams were filled with good kids who were willing to put in the work and develop. Yes, sometimes even walk-ons. If Nebraska is fortunate to hear it's name called at 1 pm, Jalen Marshall would be a perfect fit.

I don’t know who he is, but Wiltfong just put in a CB for him to Mizzou. Nebraska has gotten several for Schwartz from Florida at DE.

wiltfong's CBs blow in the wind worse than half of Omaha's trees did Saturday night

dude is a dork

Yep, but I’m the end he’s always “right”. So if he puts in a pick right before a kid announces, it’s a pretty sure thing.

That’s what I thought.

I remember Nebraska having him high on their list and a Future Cast put in for Jalen Marshall to Nebraska.

Amazing how quickly Drink closed the gap. That is assuming he was ever seriously considering Nebraska.

Isn't there a board somewhere where people actually care about Mizzou football?

Ha ha😂

Of course you know who he is.

Until you learned this morning that he’s committing to Mizzou, he was one of the highest recruits on Nebraska’s list.

Did you ever leave campus at Mizzou?

Drink swooped in at the last moment and won the day.

It’s Mizzou all the way.
im not sure all that many schools heavily pursued this kid. are there grade issues?
also i live in overland park and there wasn't a whole lot of buzz around here about this kid. he's probably a decent pick up but i think most schools can find an adequate replacement. The locals were not all over this recruit

congrats! hope your meth lab explodes before you get a chance to watch him get his dick kicked in.

You’re a fool!

There was a Future Cast for Marshall to Nebraska at one point.

Another poster in this thread is secure enough in himself to admit that Nebraska had him at the top of their board.

A future cast? Who cares. He probably was allowed to visit and waned to come to Nebraska. Good luck to him.
