What exactly do you think we are in denial of? We know how bad Nebraska has been, that is not breaking news. And you are so focused on our poor record that is all you can see. The kid had OSU and Alabama offers out of HS, it obviously isn’t only about winning games. If he just wanted to win there are a lot of better options than Kentucky and some can even move the football.

The fact that you guys are shocked that he may leave Nebraksa for Kentucky when they are a better program right now.

You guys are misreading this situation. Northwestern had one of their best seasons in program history and still saw a ton of guys leave the program. Nearly all of the players who left transferred to a school close to their hometown.

This season has been tough on players. I’m sure if Wandale leaves it’s solely to be closer to his friends and family back home.

As if we don’t know this has been the worse 6 years since Jennings walked the sideline and he wants to compare Kentucky best 6 years in 60 years.🥴

Yes it is shocking. Do you expect every player to pack up and leave for a team with a better record every year?

It was about early playing time and a chance to bring back a blue blood.

Minus the fact he almost left last year, and people widely expect that Fitz is on his way to the NFL, sure.

He’s too much of a focal point here to ever get the stats he earns. You need complimentary pieces, and whether we are building that I don’t know. I’m not sure what Kentucky has.

Maybe he’ll go to Cincinnati. Nearly home, and a chance to put up numbers in a conference not really known for great defense.

I was really disappointed with the choice of captains on the offensive side of the ball last year. Softie culture on that side of the ball will still exist next year too it seems.

What does this mean? The his does not seem like a bad situation for Wandale.

Just speculation here but I think he’s having others getting in his ear, his father per se. I remember when he scored his first touchdown against Rutgers, the play where he got laid out. His father tweeted something to the effect of “Really”? (He then quickly deleted that tweet)As in he was pissed why they would put his son in that situation. But this is all speculation from my part.

Of course, because why wouldn’t another stud athlete who Frost misuses transfer? I can’t blame him one bit. There is literally zero identity with this offense.

Kentucky has nothing on offense. You are right about needing prices around him, I was hoping Betts, Manning, Luke (JD, Washington) would be those pieces, but alas...

Lack of identity could be one of the reasons. That’s valid.

I don’t suspect the current players are comforted by the fact that Neb used to be good when they are currently a member of the only team in the west div who hasn’t gone to a bowl game and has finished in the bottom 3 of the division each of the last 4 years

This was exactly my thought, not sure what else we even can do. I had thought about starting a thread on this, but we know how that would have went.

At this point I think Luke has shown he can do what Wandale can do. Always hurts to lose good football players, but Wandale's skillset is pretty similar to Luke's. Luke may have more upside to come and top-end speed.

AM should have trucked the db at the goal line. Frost or Crouch would have kept that. I didn’t like the pitch either tbh.

Luke is bigger and faster, but Wandale is lightening quick. Would Luke accept moving on from QB. I think it would be best for him and the team, just not sure if he is ready to give up on being a QB.

It's sick to think about, but I believe stats and TDs matter to some of our younger kids. Wandale didn't have a TD on the year, and I think Adrian knew it and wanted to get him one. It's also why we see Jacob Hickman's soft *** on the goal line getting touches.

Wandale is decent. But there has been speculation of him leaving all the time. If you gotta beg a guy to stay then time to go. If our culture is what it’s supposed to be this wouldn’t happen. But those of us who question the culture are called trolls. When we can see guys not wanting to play in bowl games for a reason. Find guys who want to play at Nebraska and play hard. Frost talked early on about the previous coaches not instilling the “Nebraska way”. And he might actually be the worst at it. Guess we will see.

Their skill sets are drastically different. Wan’Dale is quick, agile, plays low and physical. Luke plays high, has a longer stride and is more of a finesse player.

This is the same stuff as last year with JD as far as I'm concerned.

I don't necessarily believe leaving is the right decision, but these guys are looking at their window of opportunity and being stuck on a team that either doesn't want to play, or whatever disfunction is going on, and you have to ask yourself if making a move makes sense. For some, it might.

Player mismanagement, seems to show itself time and time again as being a problem with the Frost regime.

So Luke isn't quick and agile? I beg to differ. Luke also knows how to get low and be physical. Luke's upside is higher, IMO. Wandale does not have the top-end speed that was advertised. I don't want to knock Wandale though...he is a good football player.

Hard to blame the kid. In an era where there are so many bowl games and virtually every team with a pulse gets to play in one. The Huskers may still be 3-4 from potentially reaching one.

Your just a F’ing troll because you start political threads using Nebrask football as a scape goat.

I would be pissed too , especially using him as a bell cow power RB, in addition to high injury risk routes.

Don’t get me started on the offensive unit. Them forgoing on a bowl game does not sit well with me. It’s a Covid year so they get a pass, I guess. But I question their willingness to get better or even their love of the game.

There was covid in Kentucky. They played in a bowl. Even though they had a losing record.

Kentucky fired their co-oc’s and hired a guy off the LA Rams staff.

Kentucky seems like an awfully risky move for a guy that likely wants to turn pro after next year. A team installing a brand new offensive scheme would be the last place I would want to go. But I'm not wearing those britches (as someone much older than me would say)....
