So if the current rule is still 21 day quarantine, why are they even considering playing? They can not have any more players eligible than they would have had against us...only fewer.

Barry is probably trying to get it changed. If he is the big 10 will NOT throw him under the bus and try to get the media to shame him. Not sure why the big 10 treats schools so differentlySo if the current rule is still 21 day quarantine, why are they even considering playing? Sounds like a Presidential candidate I know.Barry is probably trying to get it changed. If he is the big 10 will NOT throw him under the bus and try to get the media to shame him. Not sure why the big 10 treats schools so differently
They need to stop scissoring each other.WOW . Wisconsin cancelled again this week. That leaves them no wiggle room the rest of the way

I hope Purdue beats them like a rented mule.
Just saw this. Not surprising. I hope this is the last cancellation, but I doubt it.
Purdue actually gets screwed worse than NU did. They are on a roll with a chance to go 3-0 in the division. Still, they may still be the front-runner to draw a mid-December game with Ohio State.
There's no way this game can be played under current rules. Sorry cheese.
so, just maybe they weren't just dodging Frosty's crew?
By the end of the week they had 22 players and staff test positive. When they first attempted to cancel yeah, they were under the 5% rule. By Friday though it was blown out of the water. They weren't playing even if they wanted towhat rule is that. They could have played last week and they chose not to.
Positive cases only count toward the 5% initially. So Mertz no longer counts toward that and honestly, probably isn't daily testing. If they receive no positives today through Sunday, they will play for sure.By the end of the week they had 22 players and staff test positive. Hard to say that when you chose to cancel.I think that's true. There's no way they wanted these games canceled.

i agree, with the way the tie breaker rules read on a unbalanced schedule Wisc absolutely wanted these games cancelled. they didnt want to play this season anywayHard to say that when you chose to cancel.

So is Purdue going to start petitions to go to the SEC? Sarcasm alert!Just saw this. Not surprising. I hope this is the last cancellation, but I doubt it.

This is the conference who had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, into playing any games at all. The B1G “leadership” actually believes that fewer games is better.Only the B1G could decide 7-1<5-1
Purdue should be allowed to schedule a game this weekend if they want to.So is Purdue going to start petitions to go to the SEC? Sarcasm alert!

Sure in hindsight it is best that the game was cancelled. But at the time Wisconsin chose to cancel they only had 6 cases and chose to cancel for competitive reasons. If those players didn’t happen to be 2 QB’ etc, they wouldn’t have cancelled. In the end, it was probably for the best, but saying they chose to cancel for any reason other than being down key players, is some serious revisionist history.I don’t look at it like that at all. As a Purdue grad I think you guys dodged a bullet and so did we..
Both schools ran the risk of coming out like Illinois with 10+ guys out from... PLAYING WISCONSIN with all their cases.
I like to troll here but in all seriousness is that what you wanted? To come out vs northwestern and find out in the pregame that Adrian Martinez 4 other starters and 5 other players are out for 21 days? Cause that’s basically what happened to Illinois dude
They were. But have since blown up with positive cases.so, just maybe they weren't just dodging Frosty's crew?
Consider a Wisconsin team with a 4th string QB... if you’re asking why people think the way they do, consider that at least. Why do people in here think a top 10 program who averages double digit wins a year and has won the B1G West more than all the other teams combined would be afraid of a below .500 program?
Last was hilarious with people predicting a 11+ win season. Now this year you are saying Wisconsin is afraid of Nebraska?
Nobody in the country is afraid of Nebraska. This has to be a joke?
