CDC wants positive tests so they set pcr cycles at 40 - this makes every positive test worthless.
Another week and now we are up to zero deaths in college and NFL football.
Don't they know cases are SPIKING!!!! It's a spike in a pandemic. It's insane how we keep playing with these zero deaths. With all these cases our hospitals are full. We'll be lucky if anyone has any grandparents left by Christmas, you don't care of you kill grandma you're just selfish and want football and now we have zero deaths 7+ weeks into the season.
Whether he believes it is 75 year olds only or not, the dude is showing his true colors.
"I'll make this super simple for you. If you're under the age of 75, this whole virus is a nothingburger. If you're under 75 and not taking care of your health, you better make some changes. Protect those most vulnerable. The rest of you, quit being such pansies."
The fact is the virus is unpredictable. I just had a friend (40 years old) get it who has been bashing it from the get go. He was immobile for a week, and still has no sense of smell or taste. This is the problem I have with folks that continue to act like it is nothing.
Do you not care about the folks that are out of shape?
Do you not care about the people with prior conditions?
Cause that is what you are saying, because if you don't take precautions at all times and act like you only need to wear it around the sick, old and weak. You are going to give it to someone that totally doesn't give a **** and that person is going to infect the most vulnerable.
So when I hear people say things like this, I know you don't see the big picture. This isn't about being a pansy. This is a problem of people calling other people pansies for wanting to keep others safe. It's about people like you being shallow minded, and not seeing past their own personal situation. Get over yourself and understand this isn't about being tougher and stronger than the "pansy" liberals
********. I don't know anyone who has died of covid and only one person who became really sick from from it. But I have 2 coworkers and one friend who had relatives die of it. One was my manager's 32 year old aunt or niece (I can't recall which way the relationship went) who was "healthy as a horse" and died 6 days after the diagnosis. Another was a co-workers mother, who was in her 50's. I don't know her health. The third was a good friend's cousin who was 44 and who did have mild asthma. You need to stop believing the crap.
That you're heeding the words of Scott Atlas is very telling. He has absolutely no credibility in this. I feel as if you're one of those people who suffered a heart attack, and went to your chiropractor for treatment.
Ok wallThis is patently false. Lots of people see how the response to a virus that actually infects a minority of the population and causes serious complications in a very small percentage of the population is having a negative effect on THE ENTIRE population that far outweighs the impact of the virus itself.
There is no doubt that the cure has been worse than the disease. Standing up against the fear porn and for the people who have lost jobs, financial security, mental health, life experiences, time with loved ones, and on and on is not shallow-minded. It's the opposite.
Cases are spiking a little but death rate is not, nor will it. As the virus is transmitted through the population it gets weaker and easier to deal with. There are great therapeutic treatments that are scorned. The top epidemiologists at Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford disagree with how our nation is handling this virus. So the very best in their fields are know-nothing science deniers?
Well guess what I care about those 3%. Look dude you don't think I know I'm talking to a devoted Trump supporter and this is going to go somewhere? Just know there is a **** ton of people out there that actually care about the people that you consider irrelevant. We will see soon enough, if Trump wins I will put up with another 4 years of this and continue to love both my Republican and Democratic friends and family. Can you say the same if Biden wins and shuts things down again? I am going to go with a negative. You know why, because you don't look past your own beliefs... Your beliefs Trump mine right, because you are right and anyone that disagrees is wrong?Guy who claims others don't see the big picture telling others to get over themselves for a virus that has shown positive tests for less than 3% of the country after 8+ months and the vast majority had mild symptoms.

You care so much youre willing to close down people's businesses they've spent their lives to build, financially destroy them.
You care so much that you want to shut schools down, sometimes the only place some kids can get a stable meal. And let those most in need fall behind.
You care so much you'll isolate those at the end of their lives to save them even though they'll be miserable.
You care so much that you accept this response has led to a huge increase in suicides and overdoses.
I'm not sure how much more the country can tolerate you caring.
Let me ask you something. It is impossible to reason with anyone who completely abandons facts and logic when dealing with issues like this. The vast vast majority people under 75 bounce back from this and quickly. Not everyone, but 99.99%. You're willing to wreck the economy and put other lives at risk from suicide, domestic abuse, drug and alcohol deaths and social isolation, to protect the 0.01% that we all agree needs protecting? What am I supposed to do with such flawed reasoning? I can't it's like reasoning with a three-year-old that desperately wants a cookie
1. No, I think they need a bailout. You care so much youre willing to close down people's businesses they've spent their lives to build, financially destroy them.

Whenever someone feels the need to tell someone he is intelligent that pretty much always has the opposite effect of what was intended.
1. No, I think they need a bailout.
2. No my significant other is a Teacher, but they need to still take precautions.
3. No, but I'm not going to complain I got to wear a mask when I am out in public to protect them.
4. Talk to your republican leaders about Mental Health taking a presidence. The suicidal thoughts were there before COVID-19 came around, and Mental Health is never a top priority for them. But reversing Roe v Wade is
My wife has said that the quick tests being used are not always very accurate. PCR testing though on the other hand is pretty good. The problem with PCR testing though is that it will detect ANY viral genetic material, dead or alive. SO IF you have someone who has viral protein particles floating around still in their blood stream it may say they're still positive for the virus when in fact they aren't actively infected. There is some concern as well that the PCR test may detect closely related Corona viruses that aren't nearly as virulent as COVID. I haven't heard specifically of that happening in anybody I know.
Let me ask you something.
What happens of Trump gets his way and everything just opens up like there is nothing going on? Do you not think those number change drastically. 90,000+ people packed into multiple football stadiums with no masks. Things will be fine right? Talk about reasoning with people that don't understand! A freaking doctor from Nebraska Medical Center was on the news yesterday that said they are going to run out of beds. So let's just say f*** it and not care? There is 330 million people in America and if we all dust didn't care we'd all have it. There would be way more deaths, if we didn't do these "pansy" precautions.
PS. You gather that data yourself?
Peace, I'm done discussing this!
Whenever someone feels the need to tell someone he is intelligent that pretty much always has the opposite effect of what was intended.
This could help explain why flu cases have went down 95%.
Dude you are oblivious to anything that is outside of your realm. Good luck with all that hateSo your answer to government ruining things is... More government. Comical, but sad.
None of this was political until you started posting. But if your posts are representative of the state of the Democratic party it's no surprise blue states are such in such overtaxed disarray.
Go clutch your pearls over Roe somewhere else.
all I got was blah blah blah... yay Trump... Snowflakes are pansies... I'm going to do what I want cause I'm an American... blah blah blah... yay Trump... I don't care about anyone else but myself... yay narcissismI'm glad you're done discussing this because you're adding nothing worthwhile to the discussion. It's 10 AM. Put a lid on it.
Trump getting his way? That's not how this works. Trump doesn't have a magic wand and he's not mandating that states open. He's encouraging it, and that's what people want. The STATES, by their elected governors are re-opening in phases as they see fit, trying to help their citizens survive financially. How long can businesses survive without customers? Not long!! Are you paying attention to rent and mortgage defaults? Can you make the connection to unemployment? Can you connect unemployment to shutdowns and lockdowns?
We want the FREEDOM to direct our own lives at the LOCAL and state level. In Omaha, our beef is really with unelected bureaucrats like Adi Pour and an ignorant city council, not the POTUS. Have you gone outside Omaha and Lincoln? People in the Western part of the state are not wearing the masks much. They're not dying en masse.
WTH are national lockdowns accomplishing? NOTHING. They are indirectly responsible for thousands of deaths. A lockdown is merely delaying the inevitable. The virus has to run its course. You can't see it and you can't hide from it, and I'm sorry to report, but a 99c bandana won't stop it. Your dam 'flattening of the curve' is on day 300! Wake up! 2021 gonna be rough no matter who is sitting (or sleeping) in the White House.
Dude you are oblivious to anything that is outside of your realm. Good luck with all that hate
All kidding and political parties aside, do regulations such as the below, which are now implemented in some states, bother anyone besides me, or are we good with the below until corona is all gone?
"All dine-in food service establishments must maintain accurate records of the names and phone numbers of patrons who purchase food for consumption on the premises, and the date and time of entry."
Mandatory Requirements for All Gatherings
Gatherings can not have people from more than three households. This includes anyone who is present at the gatherings."
"The host should collect names and contact information of attendees for contact tracing."
"All gatherings must be held outside. "
"Gatherings may occur in outdoor spaces that are covered by umbrellas, canopies, awnings, roofs, and other shade structures provided that at least three sides of the space (or 75%) are open to the outdoors."
"People at gatherings may remove their face coverings briefly to eat or drink as long as they stay at least 6 feet away from everyone outside their own household, and put their face covering back on as soon as they are done with the activity."
"Gatherings should be two hours or less."
Be honest. You don't read any of the charts or medical papers, do you? Stop getting your news from Lady Gaga.Dude you are oblivious to anything that is outside of your realm. Good luck with all that hate
It makes me sad that you resort to this because you're either too lazy or simply unable to form a cogent argument.all I got was blah blah blah... yay Trump... Snowflakes are pansies... I read what comes out of our presidents mouth... why do I need to read a manipulated chart that comes from one of your far right websites?Be honest. You don't read any of the charts or medical papers, do you? Stop getting your news from Lady Gaga.
Why would I make an argument to someone who has no ability to accept a different perspectiveIt makes me sad that you resort to this because you're either too lazy or simply unable to form a cogent argument.

Mask mandates, working from home, restrictions on gathering, school closures, etc., are all measures we need to take because there is no vaccine and because our response to this epidemic has not been universal, therefore we have to pursue more cut-and-dry measures to attempt to arrest the spread of the virus.
"THAT ARGUMENT IS NOT MAGA ENOUGH IT IS NOT A COGENT ARGUMENT." - You

It sounds like you are pretty much for complete shutdown. amiright?
Nice.
Do you mean an actual virologist and epidemiologist? If so, you're not referring to Scott Atlas. That you're saying a guy who cites scientific evidence is not credible is all we need to know about you.![]()

Conservatives have sacrificed their humanity at the altar of Donald Trump. If I were to tell you a story of a nation where militias roam the land threatening to murder elected officials you might think Afghanistan, nope America. We live in a country where one of the major parties is decidedly anti democratic. I'm not especially hopeful our nation will bounce back.

That really sounds like poor advice! not trying that, i like swimming though..Only 1500 people a year die of hypothermia in the US, that’s only .0005% of the US population. It gets better, the vast majority of those were wearing clothing such as hats, coats, shirts and pants. Clothing doesn’t help against the cold!
You sheep need to quit being afraid of the cold, 99.9995 percent of Americans survive it. Stop living in fear, shed your unconstitutionally mandated clothing and go swimming in a snow drift for a few hours, you are almost certain to survive.
You are referring to ANTIFA and BLM, right? I assume so and I am happy to provide you with hundreds of examples to support your claim.Conservatives have sacrificed their humanity at the altar of Donald Trump.
