Now that Trump beat the Covid Virus and we are all back to normal again, how bad do we beat Purdue to start the season?

*couldn't*I could care less what the score is. I just want to win the game. Married to a Ft Wayne girl/Purdue grad and I hate losing to the Boilers in anything.
Hey I almost got ran off a walking path the other day by a duded-out bicyclist who had on a sweet Michigan State cycle jersey. First of all he almost hit me coming up from behind me and then with the shirt I just had to yell at him. "What the hell are you wearing that for? Nebraska is terrible and the Huskers beat you the last time they played". It doesn't translate well. but him giving me his middle finger is all the reward I needed.
wow, you married the only girl who ever went to purdue? impressive.I could not care less what the score is. I just want to win the game. Married to a Ft Wayne girl/Purdue grad and I hate losing to the Boilers in anything.

My prediction as well.
I know. Me too. But my guess is that lockdown restrictions will ease by the beginning of June, which will be followed by a new wave of infections, followed by another lockdown. I know of several colleges and universities that are already making plans for online education for the Fall. Sad, but that is the most likely scenario. It saddens me but I just don’t see it happening.
I predict no game.
My prediction as well.
If they play it, it may be in front of an empty stadium. Will this bring an end to our 'sell-out' streak?
If there's no season, will that mean that we won't have to put up with the fans of other teams that come over here to post during the season?I know. Me too. You must be new here, despite having 32,000 + postsReally! Does it matter at this time.
Yes, I did read somewhere that one option is to eliminate all non conference games and to begin the season in October. If there is season, this will still be our first game either on September 26 or October 3rd..

*there* *too*I'm pretty confident their will be a season. To much money will be lost by not having a season. Most schools took a huge hit without the NCAA tourney. Taking away football would sink a lot of athletic departments.
I am going the optimistic route on this one. As of now this is WAY under what even the most conservative "experts" were predicting as far as deaths. From early antibody testing it looks like the infection numbers are 50-80 times higher than the numbers show. Which would bring the death rate to at or below flu levels. Sorry but that is not worth closing the world down for.I know. Me too. Places like China, South Korea, Italy, and Spain are starting to already lift lock down measures. China and South Korea have for awhile and aren't seeing massive spikes in numbers.
We have about 3 months before practices need to starts and 5 months before games. If we are still in lock down mode where society can't function at least somewhat normal. Football is going to be the least of our concerns because the economy is going to be tanking and we will all be out of jobs most likely.
I think the season is played, now I will say I don't think it will be business as usual. I don't think you are going to see packed stadiums as I think university will limit the number of people they allow in. For 75% of the teams they won't notice a differnce. For places like Nebraska it will suck. How do they decide who gets in? My guess is season ticket holders will be out of luck for the year and it will be either a first come first serve or a random lottery sytle draft pick for seats.
Now to the question, Diaco is a nut job. He thought Nebraska didn't have talent to do what he wanted. Purdue would be even worse. Add in they missed all of spring to install his system. No way they have it dialed in by game one. Nebraska flexes 48- 24 NEb
the question isn't whether cases will rise post-reopening (they will), it's whether that rise is manageable (let's hope).Numbers are down because of social distancing and lockdowns. As soon as those are eased, the infection rate will spike. Just look at China. They are now in a a second wave.
Meh. I'm on a message board, typing from my phone. Not to worried about Grammer.*there* *too*
This is a fact. Purdue got 8 practices in. It will be interesting to see what happens. Brohm has said Purdue will be show multiple fronts on their defense. I believe they are better set to run a 3-4 than a 4-3 personnel wise. There is some talent on that defense. There is also some holes. Will be interesting to see them vs Nebraska week 1.We’ve been told by a Purdue fan that the boilers got in 8 of their 15 spring practice..

They are? Granted you can't trust China numbers but they reported 12 cases yesterday and 11 today. With their active infections hovering right around 1,000. Lets adds some zeros behind that and say its 1000 each day and 10,000 still infected In a country of 1 billion people thats not bad. South Korea has been at around 20 cases per day for a couple weeks.Numbers are down because of social distancing and lockdowns. As soon as those are eased, the infection rate will spike. Yes. Your probably right. Since he struggled at Nebraska where the coach was getting fired before he ever took the job, he's probably going to fail at Purdue as well. Brohm might as well start digging his grave. Let's ignore the potential 1st rounder NT and the 1st rounder DE. The athleticism in the secondary. The pass rushers in the front 7.You aren't showing anything with Bob Diaco. Also, 8 practices doesn't mean ****. You are still in the first year of a system change. We had better players than Purdue when we had Debacle as a coach and look how that turned out.
It’ll all come down to qb play, just like last year’s game.Yes. Your probably right. Side question. What's Nebraska's offense going to look like? They have a lot of new faces don't they? Especially WR?

I'm not pumping sunshine anywhere. I'm discussing big ten football. Purdue is very much on the rise. It was always a 5 year rebuild for Brohm, but I'd argue it's ahead of schedule. Your right, you have to win. I'm not beating Purdues chest, but they aren't a pushover anymore. They actually have a football team now. Hazell decimated this team worse than any other in maybe big ten history. Takes time man. Takes time for frost to rebuild Nebraska as well. I agree that them and Purdue are basically the same program right now. You act like I'm saying Purdue is winning the big ten next year when I'm on record saying they are a 7-8 win team next year, but still at least a year away from competing for the west. I'm sorry you hate discussing big ten football.Debacle has had other struggle's outside of Nebraska and his glory years at ND had more to do with athletes that Purdue will never have. He may succeed, but I doubt it. Also, I done engaging about Purdue. Purdue is in the same boat as Nebraska. They both feel they have really good coaches and good athletes, but those coaches have produced any sort of result to thump their chest over. You can make up excuses as a fan in your head about injuries, culture, etc, but at the end of the day you have to win football games. Purdue is trending poorly in this as is NU. Pump sunshine into your Purdue board. They may eat it up a little more than the NU & Iowa board that you try to push the narrative on.

If you look at more than record, you would see I'm not wrong. Something tells me you don't actually care about discussing big ten football though.7-6, 6-7, 4-8. Team on the rise. Got it.
Where have I been pumping sunshine? Show me. Tell me what I've said that is completely wrong?
