By the way, ding dongs, 247 Sports is saying that Wandale is now likely to flip to Nebraska after he gets an in-home from Scott Frost. He's already trending hard that way, according to "inside sources."

Yep we are hearing that also. Going to be interesting! If it went down the way we were told Frost has some work to do but it sounds the kid's heart is in Lincoln and not Lexington.

Adding him and Ty Robinson to our 2019 class is going to be siiiiiick...I honestly don't care who we land after that, what with Big Daniels transferring up here for a grad year.

Next year and going forward, we are going to be a badass team.

But the kid just said that he plans on signing with UK (Check page 6 on this thread). I'm not getting my hopes up although I admire our staff for not giving up.

Is it cheating if the rules are not enforced? I mean driving 1 over the speed limit is against the law...so are you a criminal on the interstate everytime you drive? We know that players at the top 10 programs receive benefits from boosters outside of the program. We know that the reputation of these setups can improve recruiting to an area. We know that in most industry the top talents receive more money, and we know the top talents in college football deserve compensation for their services, much more than the bottom half the team. The cheating comes when adult men rake in millions off of the exploits of 18-22 year olds, and it is even more pathetic when these men don't care to compete by "cheating". Now if we get caught cheating I would be pissed because our staff was too stupid to do it creatively or to stop blatant and obvious cheating. Look Osborne cheated...his players were paid by "employers" and never went to work..stayed at home or in dorms and play video games and shot up. These are facts, witnessed by fans. These kids were young and dumb and voiced their exploits. I hope we think Frost is clean, and didn't use the green, and we recruit in the top 10, and build a fantastic, talented team, to be proud of....but if we waste millions to win 8 games a year, redirect money from fans for coach and administration salaries, while allowing fans to boost the local economy, w/o trying everything possible...well that is cheating.
Cheaters always have a rationale for why it is OK for them to cheat.

As I said earlier in this thread, Nebraska has a plan for this recruitment and they are working hard for WR's committment

247 Sports VIP section has a new post, barely 2 minutes old, from Steve Wiltfong saying that Wandale is now strongly considered a Nebraska flip, but is waiting for a final in-home with Scott Frost to announce it.

You heard it here first, folks!

Frost better get on a plane tonight then and seal the deal, before he changes his mind again.

This feels like Jevontae Jean-Baptiste again. Hopefully there isn't a snow-storm in Kentucky on signing day.

I'm curious how we're going to make room for all these recruits. The staff must be counting on quite a few guys transferring out. We're still in on a lot of recruits, plus Daniels transferring in.

Yeah but I mean, Guy Thomas just left. That moved us up to 26 scholarships open and that's not including oversigning. So, if Daniels takes up one, down to 25, plus Tre Neal left due...

My point is, ask @Tuco Salamanca to get into the numbers, but we do have the space and yes, some guys might transfer out as well, though I would hope that number is going down.

Lets face it-- the kid seems to have always wanted to go to Nebraska. It's in his best long term interest as a player and for his financial future if he gets to the NFL. He'll have huge stats in Lincoln and none in Lexington. We aren't recruiting Wandale-- we are recruiting his parents and handler. Hopefully he has convinced them that Wandale will be the one in school, and not his parents.

We seem to want at least one more OLB (likely Barno from Butler CC), perhaps two if we could get someone like Summerall (unlikely). It also appears that we want 2 more DBs, plus Ty Robinson, plus at least one more offensive lineman. We're also getting a visit from WR Winston Wright, who I think you'd have to make room for even if Wandale flips. If we sign 30 recruits plus 1-2 transfers, we're going to have to cut some dead weight from the roster.

I'm guessing Lightbourn, Pernell, Quayshon, Vaha, Avery Anderson, Jaylin Bradley could all be on the chopping block.

UK fan here. Justin Rowland, a pretty respected insider on the main UK board, is reporting it as well. I can’t believe he would put this out there with no reason. Yet, what the kid is publicly saying doesn’t make any sense, if it’s true.

Sure sounds like someone is being played.

So how does coaches visits work? Are assistants able to visit when they please? I know for a head coach it’s limited to just 1 visit.

I think perhaps he has his mind made up, but until he tells the UK staff/Stoops (reports that he is supposed to talk to him tonight), he's not gonna say anything to the press. The timing of his getting his Army All American jersey was just bad from that standpoint. When asked questions, he had to walk the walk of a committed UK player.

I could be wrong, just trying to explain it if he does intend to flip.
