Best of luck to Noah. If all the details are correct not sure if I agree blocking Nebraska but I think it's more about other players.

He was good enough to be the 2nd string QB, so he must have some talent and stand a chance to play some, if even in a backup roll. Of course by then we will be winning games by 4 TDs and he will get playing time in the 4th quarters if he is a backup!

He's a faster runner than Milton but more straightline. Milton's running style was more elusive like a point guard.

He will have to sit, he pays one year of in state tuition, goes back on Scholly, and plays in the future. Not a big deal IMO.

Same thing as if he had gone to UN directly out of high school. NU could have offered him, but did not.

Unfortunately, this ruling only hurts Vedral. Didn't deter him from coming to Nebraska. And Nebraska isn't negativity affected either.

God forbid of course the program is more important than the players. I thought UCF was supposed to be some sort of secret player utopia instead it is kind of like North Korea

He has to sit out a year anyway. Since when does anyone really care that he has to pay his own way one year? If it was an actual financial hardship, he could have just gone JUCO for a year.

Most schools block the transfer of players to the old coaches new school. That’s SOP. It prevents larger exodus’. Not being a smartass, but honestly, Nebraska hasn’t been in that boat...ever.

UCF treats their student athletes amazing. They just gave them a Parade down main street at Disney World despite some mockery. UCF is doing what every program does and has a right to. Insulting to compare this situation to North Korea. His father even understands.

Noah just a few days ago in the red hat.

I'll go out on a limb and say no it doesn't change our efforts. From what I gathered over time is this has been in the works since Frost first recruited him so it's no surprise he's transferring as well as us offering additional 2018 QB's. IMO, it puts less pressure on landing someone, in the 2018 and 2019 classes, since it's official but I believe the staff will stay take a QB in this next class - assuming it's the right one. I don't see a Beau Davis scenario though.

2018 season, we have 3 scholarship/eligible QB's; POB, Gebbia, Martinez. It'd be great to have 4, especially with all the social media speculation that one of POB/TG will leave after spring ball if they're not in the running.

Gawd damn it's fun again...

I get that argument and that the UCF administration doesn't want the 'possibility' of more players leaving and coming to Nebraska (not sure how realistic that is?). So I get that UCF might feel they are between a rock and a hard place on this one.

However, we are talking about a kid who's family has multiple ties to the University of Nebraska. We're also talking about a kid who may or may not fit well in with what type of offense Heupel wants to run. Also, if I am correct on this, classes began yesterday for UCF, as they did for Nebraska. How realistic is it that anyone else would be able to request a scholarship release from UCF to attend Nebraska at semester?? Not very likely at this point. Again, the only reason Vedral likely did is he has family roughly 30 minutes from Nebraska's campus.

So again, I hope Danny White chills out (assuming he is the one making this decision). This is not a kid from Florida, or any other state for that matter. This isn't just a kid from Nebraska either. It's a kid who's family identifies with Nebraska. So let it go.

Are we hitting the Czech Republic hard on the recruiting trail? Should be. Lots of very smart players there. Most menses per ca-pita than every other country, I believe.

Congrats UCF! You come off as douchey, you made it a little tougher for the kid and his family and Nebraska still got a good QB.

For the most part, UCF fans have been respectful in this thread. I appreciate that, and wish the best for your program as well.

One bright side is that it lets Frost sign one more recruit in this class if Vedral doesn't take up a scholarship in 2018.

100% chance that he gets a scholarship for 2019 and beyond?

Some things make a lot of sense. He can play in the same offense he has learned while playing close to family and friends. UCF has a qb for the next three year

What doesn't make sense is for UCF to make this kid pay his own way to NU and at the same time say he can go to other schools and get a scholarship if offered. Petty behavior

Gave? The players and coaches more than earned it. When Spectrum Stadium is half full you can't really claim player support. Blocking Vedral only hurts Vedral, why do it? Petty. I sure hope teams recruiting against UCF use Vedrals blocking as a reason not to go. I'd remind recruits that should you become homesick or feel you have a better opportunity elsewhere UCF WILL block your ability to remain on scholarship. Sounds like UCF really cares... lol.

So the coaches got the phony national championship bonuses after they were employed by NU but UCF blocks a kid from returning home when he is at most a backup at UCF. This is the kind of stuff that gives credence to the arguments of Ernie Chambers and others who believe players should be treated as employees.

And with all the menses occurring, it means the women are fertile and can produce more smart players. :D
