I think that leaves us with 4 scholarship Wideouts next year. I think they might move Mazour to the slot. He would be dangerous there. Good time for the coaches to be at UCF. (sorry not a dig at Frost or staff. I just dont like the two places at once kind of thing. He will get it sorted out)

We have zero WR commits in the class so far and only have 4 or 5 scholarship WR's returning from the current roster. Even if they bring in 4 guys in this class we will be short on WR numbers.

Thank you, Keith Williams. You are such an amazing recruiter.
Why the snipe at Keith Williams?

The reason we lost our commits is because we changed staffs. There’s no guarantee we would have gotten them even if he were on staff, but by firing him it makes it so much easier for the recruits to look elsewhere.

He missed on some recruits, for sure, but he also got some pretty good guys in as well in JD, Lindsey, KJJ (maybe... jury is out on what he can do).

4 wideout sets and we have 4 wideouts on scholarship. I think the phrase of get ready to be in great shape might have to go even further. I think some players are going to have to switch positions. Mazour would be ok in the slot I think. Maybe Conrad could move from Center to WR.....wait in Frost offense WR's are required to be good blockers. (ok I admit that was a dick move on my part)

We have needed more wideouts the last few classes, and heard so much whining and bitching when we went after them.

Now we are in this position with the native son coming home, and needing them. I wonder if some people are realizing just how wrong they were every time they complained just to complain.

This sucks, no other way to say it.

We will get some WR's committed. None of them are going to be absolute high school studs though. I'm sure they will try to get a grad transfer.

There will be some growing pains.

I wouldn’t be so sure we don’t nab a highly touted WR. We had Flleeks visit this weekend, Watt is visiting next weekend and Copeland plans to visit at some point. I bet we end up with 4-5 solid WR. If you count the RB/WR and TE/WR types Frost needs to really make the offense click.

I agree, we need a full time coach right now. He took the Neb job he should be here 100% of the time.

I hope your right, you know a lot more than I do. I am just a fan which means I am fanatical and freak out and over exaggerate everything. I am good at that :)

Let’s hope KJJ makes it back to campus. We have horrible WR depth.

depth??? I've seen hookers with deeper personalities than our wr depth. (the 3 or 4 we have on scholarship are great but nothing behind them.) Literally NOTHING. We are talking SHALLOW WATERS here!

Unless someone can take the time to educate me on why KW was a top notch coach and recruiter, I just don't see it. Here is the WR recruiting from KW's first two classes:

Derrrion Grim – quit while KW suspended
Spielman
Tyjon Lindsey
Keyshawn Johnson Jr – status unknown
Jaevon McQuitty
Joseph Lewis – signing day decision to USC
Jamire Calvin – flips to Wash St right before NSD
Bryan Thompson – signing day decision, signed with Utah on NSD
Jerimiah Hawkins – target, committed to Cal on NSD
Isaiah Simmons – Nebraska lean signed with Clemson
Dez Fitzpatrick – target, signing day decision to Louisville

Don't see Fleeks de-committing from Baylor. Copeland is visiting Tennessee next weekend and seems really high on them.

We're probably going to have to hit the JUCO ranks hard this recruiting class.

Good thing KJJ is now seemingly needed, being as people on here trashed him a bunch.

No doubt we need playmakers, JUCO and HS. Would love to land Woodyard and Bell. They would make our offense a lot more explosive, fast.

I think I read where Fleeks was tweeting Baylor stuff while on his visit to Nebraska. I think its safe to assume you can write him off your Christmas wish list!

That's why Frost sent out offers to new WR targets when he got the job. I expect he'll get some guys to help us forget the Riley recruits who go elsewhere.
