Official PSU - Minnesota Whiteout game thread

[Tom McAndrew]

this was PSU's 1st TD to Tyler Warren:

[84lion]

Think they may be gettin' their mojo going...

[ManxomeLion]

Whew could have drew a holding on that TD pass. No complaints! #Redemption_Clifford

[Calabrin]

“He’s been goin’ to the Tight Ends and it’s been workin’ just fine!”

[Every PSU fan]: Duh!

[PSU87]

You called it!

[VaDave4PSU]

Clifford threw 2 of the best passes of his career on that drive.

The offsides pass to Tinsley. The TD to Theo.

[Lionville]

Someone was holding. Wow. No call

Had a handful of jersey. Lol.

[step.eng69]

Wow what

Think they may be gettin' their mojo going...

MAYBE

[bdgan]

Missed it, why no Chop Robinson?

[PSU87]

Had a handful of jersey. Lol.

These are the calls the OSU and UM fans point to when they say "it all evens out"....

[BW Lion]

Where’s the Franklin fade?

Yurchich seems to be benefitting from not having someone overruling his play calling.

[Calabrin]

Franklin and Yurcich got peppered with questions about why we’re not using our tight ends after last week.

And look, I’m glad they adjusted. But it shouldn’t take fans and media to say, “WHY YOU NOT USE TIGHT ENDS?!” for them to figure it out.

[Tom McAndrew]

Missed it, why no Chop Robinson?

I don't know if they announced the reason (I'm flipping between PSU game, Phillies game, and the end of the Sixers game). He was out for the practice earlier this week that the press gets to attend for @ 15 minutes, and that was reported. As such, there was some suspicion that he was injured, but CJF never gives out that info in advance of a game

[Tom McAndrew]

3 & out forced by PSU's D

Jaylen Reed with good D on the 3rd down pass play

[BW Lion]

It’s really hard to watch the Phillies and the Lions even with 2 TVs.

[Tom McAndrew]

why throw that to Wallace on 2nd down? He was blanketed, and there was almost no chance of that working. Plus, Wallace had stepped OOB, so even if he caught the ball it would not have worked.

[Tom McAndrew]

ugh, a 3 & out for PSU's O

[CDLionFL]

Opportunity to lay the smack down here before half and we go back to chucking it around.

I've said it before..... one of this team's weaknesses is grabbing momentum and keeping it

Allen was in a groove the series before. So let’s not even give it to him once this series. Brilliant!

[Tom McAndrew]

Armor punts it OOB at the 20, and there is a holding call on Minny during the punt. So 1:57 left in the half, and Minny takes over on their own 10, down by the students.

1st down, Joey Porter knocks the pass attempt away. Excellent coverage by Porter

[Tom McAndrew]

PSU takes a TO. It's 3rd & 8 after a run by Minny, with 1:48 left in the half

[84lion]

Could do with a bit less "posing" and celebratory dancing after each defensive play...

[CDLionFL]

Johnnie Dixon...the weak link of the secondary.

[Tom McAndrew]

damn, Minny completes a long pass into PSU territory. Dixon had good coverage, but the WR got 1 foot down.

[ILLINOISLION]

******* dumb *** PSU time out after the second down!

[blion72]

Stupid TO

[PSU87]

******* dumb *** PSU time out after the second down!

How many times have we seen this play out?

[CDLionFL]

This possession is on Yurcich and his back-to-being-a-jackass playcalling sheet.

[PSU87]

Disagree.... it's on the stupid TO call

[CDLionFL]

A dumb timeout?? Why? If they get that stop on 3rd down, they have a ton of time left. It's only dumb because they gave up the first down.

[Calabrin]

Our blitz packages are not impressive. We rarely get the kind of penetration we need to be effective.

[ILLINOISLION]

DUMB DUMB DUMB !

[Tom McAndrew]

******* dumb *** PSU time out after the second down!

Stupid TO

I disagree. If PSU had stopped Minny on 3rd down, they would have had 2 TOs left, and over a minute left in the half. That's why PSU called the TO after 2nd down when they stopped them for a short gain. Alas, Minny converted the 3rd down.

[ILLINOISLION]

THAT TD IS ON FRANKLIN!

[blion72]

How many times have we seen this play out?

His analytics is always wrong.

[Nittany1865Farmer]

and we take our foot off the gas and left Minny back into the game.

[CDLionFL]

Where were the linebackers on that drive??

[Tom McAndrew]

Ibrahim runs it in for Minny. A 90-yard drive by Minny.

After the PAT, it's 17-10, PSU, with 32 sec left in the half

[PSU87]

Except as soon as we called it I texted my friend "Minnesota TD in 3...2....1"
