You’re an MSU OG if you can’t pass a bag of Golden Flake chips without thinking of the Rockey Felker or Jackie Sherrill being interviewed by Jack Cristil on Sundays.

It's not my fault that I grew up in Alabama and watched the Bear eat those.

eating at Perry cafeteria was very good back when I was a kid. I got to campus and it was horrible. Easily the worst cafeteria. Templeton is the new Perry. Very few people know about it though.

All the food on campus went to hell when Aramark took over. I quit eating on campus at that point.

If you ate at Algood's on the corner of 82 and Jackson. So much grease the ceiling was permanently stained.

You remember FANT-astic stickers being sold in Sports Avenue at Northpark Mall.

Few random things that come to mind:

1.Still remember my first game in 1981 when we got beat by Mizzou 14-3, I was 5 yo...I only remember being there not much else.

2. My Dad and I attended the 1985 Memphis State game, he actually wore a maroon light jacket with the flying M on it to the game. I would love to know where that Jacket is today. ( RIP Dad)

3. I attended the 1983 Ole Miss State game.

4. I remember the 1988 USM game in Jackson when we went Tech and 10. We went to eat at the Shoney's on County Line Road after the game. No idea why I remember that bit of information.

5. I was the LA Tech win sitting in the upper deck on the west side in 1988.

6. I watched Tanya Tucker one year and the band Alabama the other at two of our Super Bulldog weekends...

I know these are very random...

You were part of the Hump crowd chanting “Danvers, Danvers!” to hold the opponent under 50 for a free sandwich.

you own a 5x7 black and white glossy of Ray White hitting the winning shot against KY after holding the ball for the last 3 minutes of the game.

you own a “Another one bites the dust” T-shirt.

You are pretty OG if you entered the underground tunnel at McCain, got lost, and left the tunnel under the YMCA building.

... if you stole trays out of Perry Cafeteria to slide on the snow covered hill in front of Suttle.

That was fun! Students catching sliders to keep them from running into cars.

I also liked using the cafeteria trays to slide from Butler across the Evans driveway, then down to the trees/scrub. Longer run! That might have been a different storm. I slid in front of Suttle winter of 81-82.

The Butler run was later--that year that the MSU President (McComas?) made everyone go back to class too soon and my friend had a slight wreck driving to class. And the cheerleaders in the Hump led a "NO SCHOOL NO SCHOOL" cheer (or something like that).

When you were starving after a night at The Landing / Baba O'Riley's / Cheers / Mac's Supper Club and the only thing open was The House of Bar-B-Que (otherwise known as the House of Death).

I ate those cheap homemade Saran-wrapped sandwiches at Mack's and they were good!

You're a MSU OG if you remember Johnnie Cooks pointing to the Miami Hurricanes huddle as he left the field after getting shaken up.

You're a MSU OG if you played intramurals in the tin gym on cold nights.

You're a MSU OG if you laughed at the reaction of the elderly when a foul ball hit the tin roof of the old DNF.

You're a MSU OG if you watched football with no upper decks on either side.

You're a MSU OG if you watched a girl dance on a piece of plywood thrown down on the Hump floor as halftime entertainment.

A really high foul ball would hit a car behind the home plate stands and everyone would cheer.

Used to yell "FINISH IT" at the construction crews putting up the first upper deck. I mean, I yelled that from my car a quarter mile away.

That Hump rubber basketball floor! We had class registration there. You'd stand in line to add a class. It was all on paper. If a class was full and I really wanted that particular class time, I'd have a friend go in front of me and drop it, then there was one space open for me to add it. If that didn't work, I'd go to the professor and tell them I really wanted to be in THEIR class, and they'd sign a waiver for me to add.

Thanks to Jeff Malone for donating the money for a wooden basketball floor.

OG if you were a member of the Bulldogs Only Message Board (BOMB) or Internet Bulldogs Booster Club (IBBC). I’m curious - is there anyone here that was? Which one?

I was a member of both the BOMB and IBBC. I was MedDawg then, too. (I've been MedDawg since the middle 90's). I knew several of the people on those boards personally and tailgated with them or sat with them in LFL.

Real OG's can complete this lyric and name this score...

"Well, they ran it and they threw it, and before anybody knew it. It was..."

Maybe not OG but gangster if

You went to Bama to watch the Polish Rifle start at QB

you remember Andre Aggasi spending time on campus

you went out to the MSU driving range because Jackie had John Daly out there putting on a clinic. Daly could hit his 3 wood out of the range over the tee box or was it a green behind the range

you listened to Rocky on the post game show blame the fans for leaving during the Auburn game as the reason that we lost instead of his decision not to go for two and we missed the pat. I’m still mad

you went to the crossroads disco tech to get beer on a Sunday

you know how to spin a beer

and in recent history you are straight up gangster if you were at the 16 homecoming game against Samford sitting in the heat watching worst defense in MSU history and came back for any games that season.

You sound like my era of OG.

I would add a couple..

If you ever chanted "Buffalo wings" with the rest of the student section when they played "we will rock you" over the loudspeakers.

If you ever changed the words of the Go State cheer to No Taite.

If the first thing you memorized in college was 323-PAPA.

I thought the only scoreboard back then was the M club Alumni one on the left field foul line. As far as attendance, we always guessed 10,000. I also remember the tree in left center that served as a urinal.

In about 1963 baseball played in Columbus while Duty Noble was built in its current location. I was in the 4th grade and walked to Redbird Field after school and sat on the score board. I hung the number of runs up on the nails after each inning. Also attended football at Scott Field back to 1961 when we have the scoreboard with the circular clock with minute and second hand. Paul Davis was coach and then Charlie Shira after that.
