Is the idea of recon a foreign concept? With something as valuable as a dragon, I'd make dang sure it was safe, she knew Cersei had harpoons.

Arya has already infiltrated the enemy defense. There will be much bloodshed, but it's already over. She likely won't live, thanks to that scene with the dog, but it's over.

That episode was basically a season and a half. Warp speed is kinda making it hard to watch for me

In the span of one episode Daenerys travel to Dragonstone by boat, then to KL by foot? All in one episode? And I didn’t they could top Gendry running 500 miles in the snow to the wall in less than an hour.

It took her Seasons 1-5 to get 100 miles. She traveled from Winterfell to White Harbor to Dragonstone to Kings Landing in 20 minutes.

It's not the first time they've done this. What do expect nex? Should they show all the characters eating every meal and taking *****?

Oh, what a nice calm scene, the dragons are flying toward beautiful Dragonstone, the ancestral seat of the Targaryens and OH MY GOD, A BOLT JUST SHOT RHAEGAL! Maybe he’s okay... Nope, they’re lighting him up, and just to make sure, he’s impaled through the throat. Surely from her vantage point hundreds of feet in the air, Dany would have spotted a fleet of dozens? Also, Euron would’ve looked pretty silly had Dany’s forces simply done the prudent thing and sacked King’s Landing.

I most definitely read this in Jim Ross’s voice, and almost heard him calling the action while watching the episode.

”MY GAWWD!!! THAT’s EURON GREYJOY’S MUSIC!!! THAT DRAGON HAS A FAMILY!! AS GOD AS MY WITNESS, RHAEGAL IS BROKEN IN HALF!!!”

At this point I know logic can't be part of any analysis but...
Hard to believe they will have Arya kill both the Night King and Cersei. If she does do it, it will be as Jaime.
I don't see how anyone but Jon ends up on the Iron Throne.
The Hound will end The Mountain.
I guess Dany has to die.
Hard to believe that is the end of Bronn, but I don't see how he gets involved at this point.

I just hate how the first 6 seasons made it tough to poke holes in the world GRRM setup. But the last 2 have, at times, been laughable.

All these skilled military tacticians in Dany’s army and none think to scout ahead? Come on. Also, Arya can sneak attack around 100s of wights and the NK’s generals to kill the NK. We’re to believe that...? So why are we even coming up with a battle plan for KL. Just send Arya and call it a day.

Lastly, 71 episodes of Cersei character development in and there’s no way she wouldn’t ambush Dany and the dragon right there. With any logical thought, the war should have ended tonight with Cersei victorious.

You just assume time has passed. It’s not a hard concept.

Ever watch LOTR? They moved armies at warp speed in those movies.

The whole Bronn thing was ridiculous. He shows up, threatens Jaime and Tyrion, Tyrion promises him Highgarden, he leaves. WTF!

I don't even think it's a twist... seems almost obvious at this point.. he laid out all the stuff he's done for her.. just for her to send his own buddy to murder him.. like he said, she's hateful and he's hateful.. and he's gonna show her how hateful he is

It's not ridiculous at all.. he said he's a betting man and the side with 2 dragons (at the time) is the MUCH better bet.

Bronn has always been about 1 thing....what's best for Bronn. That's why he reminded Tyrion about doubling any offer to kill him. He doesn't care who sits on the Iron Throne as long as he gets his castle. He's not gonna fight for either side so why hang around. If he rescues either Tyrion or Jaime it'll be to protect his investment.

That's what I thought at first

Maybe Jamie is off to murder Cersei in a twist.

Then it occurred to me that he is a survivor. He hears the news and realizes that Cersei might win and decides he wants to be on the winning side. He kept his word to the north and now he's heading home. Arya will take care of Cersei. People on her list are getting marked off. If she can sneak through 100,000 wights then getting through the Red Keep is so simple a cave man could do it.

I realize that if this happened it would change the whole story line....but did anyone want Dany to just circle around behind those ships, knowing that there is absolutely no way they could maneuver in time to point those weapons at her. Did anyone see any on the stern of those ships or just the bow? She could have easily burned the whole fleet. Just make like you are running away and while they are occupied with your fleet just burn them down.

She has been one of the best tv villains. she get's in her opponents heads and always takes the step her enemies won't which always seems to keep her a step ahead. she's not afraid of being brutal and doing everything she can to protect herself and her power. i think she has Danny and Greyworm all fired up now which will lead to some mistakes being made and probably a lot of death. Danny seems to be on war path now, and with the drama with Jon and her being worried about his stake on the throne, that's all she cares about now is her throne. Tyrion and Varys are worried about her becoming the mad queen. Sansas has become a modified version of Little Finger and Cersei. She is going to scheme Dannerys out because she doesn't trust. You could already see those things playing out. The lack of trust in each other will just keep it going.

Great shows really do that. The character development in GOT has been one of the best. Breaking Bad was like that too. one minute you hate a character. the next you like them. then a few episodes or a season later they become the bad guy.

I hated the first half and loved the second half. The first few scenes felt like they were like checking off boxes. The second half of the show felt like old school GoT.

The Jaime and Brandon Walker pairing was go way too well. Glad they threw a wrench in it.

Now we know why Greyworm didn't die last week.

I think it's pretty obvious that if Cersei dies it will be Jaime or Aria who does it. Or may be Aria as Jaime, as someone posted above. That's a nice way to get rid of both Jamie and Cersei.

I'm really glad we're done with the Night King now. There's so much left to do with the struggle for the throne and only two episodes left.

The end of these shows are really hard to do. I see the producers getting a ton of flack, but most shows we consider to be great have endings considered to be a disappointment or disliked by many:

Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Sopranos, The Wire when McNulty created the fake serial killer. Great shows.

Endings are hard, especially when you have millions of fan boys who think they know exactly how the ending should go. You do it their way and you've taken the easy way out. You do it differently and they're mad because their theories were wrong.

I will now be severely disappointed if we don’t we don’t hear either Stone Cold’s or DX’s music while Dany goes scorched earth next week

This may be a reach, but between Dany losing her mind and Jon’s secret getting out, I’m starting to wonder if Jon doesn’t end up having to sacrifice her to save the kingdom in the end.

Someone’s gonna take care of Cersei one way or another, but it’s gonna be really interesting to see what happens if/when Jon shows up while Dany is lighting things up. They seem to be pushing thing towards her losing her **** really quickly, and Missandei getting whacked may have pushed her past the point of no return

He's a mercenary, not an extortionist. And he snuck into Winterfell and into the Hand of the Queen's room. I guess he's a master spy now, too! Dumb.

she might kill him as she sees him as a threat. or he falls on his sword to protect her claim to the throne or dies defending her. I still wouldn't put it past them making her pregnant with his child which changes the dynamic a bit.

I didn't love that scene, but the line about every great house starting with a hard bastard who's good at killing people was pretty damn awesome.

"I've been breaking noses since I was your size" didn't suck either.
