Top 20 team and there may be 1000 people there. That's just embarrassing. You gonna tell me that people are sitting at home watching women play over this?

I doubt it has anything to do with staying home to watch the women play.

This needs to be bumped to the top of Cohens priority list to try and fix. There used to be people who wanted to go to all of these games, how did they all just disappear in less than 15 years?

We start beating some big time programs in non conference this year and people will be back. That and football season ending

4-22 from 3 pt. Kind of sloppy 5 to 6 minute sequence against a very weak non-conf. Opponent. Hope the shooting improves.****

This isn’t anything new. Crowds have always been garbage for the first games of the season, even back in the stansbury years.

Dude, quit beating this dead *** horse. It’s the first game of the season, on a Friday square in the middle of high school football playoffs. Damn....

Looks like Auburn has a full house for their game tonight.
Why do they get a crowd and we don't? Don't they have high school football in Alabama!

4-22, sloppy as hell and we still won by 30 and almost put up 100. I’m fine with that in game one. Woodard has a nice final line with 8 points 5 boards and an assist. No RJ Barrett, but I’m used to our freshman coming to campus looking like 10th graders who weigh 140.

We had probably 1000 people there, we should at least be half full no matter who we play. This team shoot win 23 to 25 games in the regular season this year

Friday night game at 6:30. People get off work at 5. People that live an hour or more away ain’t making that. High school playoffs start tonight. Away football game this weekend so most students went home I imagine. Chill

I remember the night the RAT for UL Lafayette hit 9 threes and they beat a good State team there were maybe 1500 people in attendance and it was the same day as a home football game against Arkansas.

I blame season ticket holders

U do?? Don’t lump us all together. I’m 5 states away and made sure all six of mine were in somebody’s hand. I offer em on here occasionlly if I can’t make it. I understand not every season ticket holder is so diligent but...Without season ticket holders u ain’t got a 17’ing thing. Were u there?

When I lived 2 hrs away I had seats and went. Now I am 20+ hours away by car so I don't make it games very often. I think I am allowed to *****.
I would also help the atmosphere if students were on at least one sideline.

Im in the same boat...even though I'm in Texas, I make most of the games, those I can't , I transfer to a local single mom who takes her son....the deal is, the tickets are free as long as they go... if they don't scan them I will find someone else. I call the ticket office to make sure the tickets ..it's not as important for me to be there because I'm in the first row of the upper section...but I do my part ...

Anything else about MSU keeping you up tonight?

I went to the game and the crowd was on par with previous seasons. From a scheduling standpoint, I would prioritize the early home games around home football weekends and women’s games. A few years back we had about 8000 to 9000 people show up to an early season game on a football weekend.

The other thing I would push is more road and neutral site games during December when school is not in session.

Beyond that, it boils down to winning. We just have to find a way to remain a consistent winner.

//There might be a set of never show season ticket holders but I don’t see how we couldn’t solve that problem with the droves of cash that we receive from the SEC. Surely there are solutions for processing scanned ticket data and making personalized incentives for exchanging tickets to those people that never show but donate year in and year out.

It’s a noncon game, I sure there’s a lot going on in StarkV to take away from attendance.
Is Hamilton playing in town? That thing will suck the life of any other event within 200 miles.

You don't like the things I post. I still don't care, although it's nice to know that someone follows my posts so closely. Its an honor to have you as my internet stalker. As for tomorrow, I'll be at a wedding (I know, right...who does that?), so I will try to drop a few lines so that I don't lose your interest.
