***Official Cats vs Vols Sweet Sixteen Thread***

[rick64]

Carr/Brea/Oweh 15 points combined

[NoahColeLiam2024!]

Really disappointing performance from the cats tonight. I’m really proud of the year they had, given everything but I would have liked to have seen a better effort tonight.

[Farsight]

I don't see how we are coming back. No team play at all. No rhythm

[tls]

1 vs 2 in 3 regions 1 vs 3 in the other

[Boyd94]

Would have been nice to get Michigan State as our 2 seed instead of a team we already played twice.

[LmdCat]

Go from beating them twice to not even being able to compete tonight. This is the most unprepared team I have ever seen on the floor tonight.

It isn't about not being prepared. It is about not having enough talented big men. UT has really no respect for Carr and they only respect Williams passing ability. So, they are loading up their defense on the perimeter. With the defense played by UT, Williams and Carr should be feasting down low. Unfortunately, neither can jump high enough to feel comfortable near the basket.

[ManitouDan_anon]

This had been pathetic .. 34 points with 15 to go in half 2 ??? What happened to getting up 30 threes a game ? We look so complacent

[ThwKentuckyKid]

Go ahead and shut the board back down.

[Farsight]

Too much 1v1 basketball. No team play.

Pope you gotta stop that. This team can't do it

[TriCountyCAT]

Tennessee defense has locked us up, sadly

[TucsonCat]

[anon1751545683]

Gotta find a way to get it under 10 and put some pressure on them.

And Williams has been pathetic defensively tonight. Have some damn pride man

He can’t guard. Hasn’t all year.

[UKWildcats1987]

Well our biggest ncaa loss is by 24 to wku of all teams. So at least we hopefullu won't break that awful record tonight. That's about as "positive" as it gets tonight.

[IYAOYAS1]

At least Ole Miss came to fight.

[ala_kat2]

So glad Pope got these guys ready to play smh... what did they do at halftime, hold hands!?

UT has the better players (and maybe coach) tonight.

[BlueWorldOrder74]

******* hate UT

[KentuckyStout]

Bad night, apparently reported Dent to UCLA

[al.ksr]

I'm not naive enough to think UK can win the championship this year, I just hate to see them lose to a Tennessee type team. Specifically Tennessee.

[Crawfords Corner]

How tf is that not +1 for Carr. gtfoh

[NociHTTP]

Turned it off.

So how bout that transfer portal?

Maybe the staff should have spent less time on the portal, and more on game prep?

[blubo]

lotta time left

[jessieshorts8]

Bad night, apparently reported Dent to UCLA

Great, Pope also blew that.

[Jakerz]

Worst played game of the year to this point

[mdlUK.1]

They’ve hit some tough shots with our hands in their face.

[mhroe1984]

when we get a stop, they get the rebound

[Farsight]

No team play on offense. Everyone trying to do 1v1. Its over

Good year.

[anon1790746896]

Turned it off.

Maybe the staff should have spent less time on the portal, and more on game prep?

This game is more on players...

[Team America]

Another offensive board that leads to points. Unreal.

[wccat]

Pitiful defense.

[whack0001]

Second chance points are killing us

[jessieshorts8]

Turned it off.

Maybe the staff should have spent less time on the portal, and more on game prep?

All Pope has landed is a bench player.

[BlueWorldOrder74]

Rebounding

Can’t get a ******* rebound.

So Pope has told Brea to drive. Bad idea. Keep shooting the three. It’s our only hope.

[anon1751545683]

This looks almost as bad as the game against Alabama in the SEC tournament.

Totally unprepared.

[IYAOYAS1]

No defense

[fadkins82476]

Great, Pope also blew that.

West coast kid

[TortElvisII]

12 seconds not a whistle

Ball rolled around UT didn't go after it

[blackcat714]

Tenn. making plenty layups

[Cat in ga]

Gotta rebound

[Jakerz]

About 30 seconds ran off the clock after Oweh dunk before they threw it in

[katwest]

Hope this pathetic showing doesn’t keep us from getting some good players from the portal. This is embarrassing as hell!
