It got really dusty in my living room when he came out. That was f**king awesome. Welcome home, coach.

I thought it was great. Welcome home ooach Pitino
Loved it as well. You could tell he cherished the moment. And really awesome to hear what sounded like the entire crowd cheering for him.
He’s been through hell and back. That moment felt right.
My place too!! Had tears streaming down my cheeks
Could anyone other than Mark Pope make this happen? A bridge burned long ago has been rebuilt.

It was time. Pitino is the 2nd best coach to coach here.
I have never both loved and disliked the same person as much as I have loved and disliked Rick. But this was perfect. Welcome home, Coach.
Seriously had tears in my eyes. Brings me back to my high school and early college years. Man what time to live on campus 93-98!
Well my goodness is he going to leave St. John’s and take a job here? Lol
I loved it! Coach Pitino always said he regretted leaving Kentucky to take the Celtics job.
WE have put the band back together
Seeing Cliff Hagan at 93 and Adrian Smith at 88 was gripping

Awesome!! Definitely got choked up seeing him back. Hell has indeed frozen over. Welcome back Coach Pitino!!
Yeah I had to grab a roll of toilet paper and blow the old nose and wipe tears the whole time. lol. It really got me and I’m so grateful it finally happened. Love you coach. My great aunt was the biggest Pitino fan of all time and is buried holding her signed picture of him. He deserves it.
Coach Pope has brought back the excitement for Kentucky basketball and brought back Coach Pitino. Only thing left for him is another championship for the CATS.
GO BIG BLUE
GO BIG BLUE
Wish Mike Pratt would have been able to see it
I'm so glad this happened and Rick Pitino came back home. Lets celebrate the good times, all of the wonderful memories with Pitino here and more to come as Kentucky takes back their program. Coach Pope has tremendous respect for all of his accomplishments and that is good enough for me to have him back in the good graces of UK with everything Pitino has said about Pope since the hire.
That was amazing! So happy it finally happened! I’ve always loved Coach Pitino. His teams are what captivated me and made me a rabid UK fan. His teams were an absolute joy to watch. Thing of beauty!
The man literally took us from the outhouse to the penthouse in 2 years time. AND he did it with not a hell of a lot of talent. Best collegiate basketball coach of my lifetime. Better than K, better than Knight, better than any of them IMO. I’ll die on that hill.

Mike was one of my favorite players. I loved that entire team.
Yeah…my eyes were wet for an hour tonight.
You could tell Pitino was genuinely happy to have our support again…I think he was ready to cry.
Absolutely no reason for Pitino to be there.
Just cheapened a great night.
He wants it to be about him.

Pitino still have that U6 tat on his back? Branded.
You don’t represent the fanbase by any stretch of the imagination based on his reception tonight. You’re the 1%. There’s always a few of you that just prefer to be negative about everything.

No clue who this Pitino feller is but I saw UK LEGEND Oliver Simmons in attendance!!!
I'm still not ready to accept him with open arms, but tonight was a good start. He was there at Pope's request I'm sure.
So, with that being said, you're just wrong.
I gotta say, I thought I’d hate him forever for having gone over to the evil empire. But that was perfect timing to welcome him back. It felt right.
Don’t be mad hater Bro
I am glad he got the ovation that he did. His teams were fun to watch !
