- meeting kooky today, and not for “meet me at the tree at 3pm” type nonsense.

- Everyone in my house has lost control because my nephew leaves today for WKU. I’m just an ******* because I don’t get it and I’m happy as can be about it.

- I can make fun of JCPS until the sun stops coming up, but reality is out here in Bullitt we have 3-4 cancelled busses a day that seemingly require a 5am text, email and follow that up with a 6am phone call.

My kids walk, but thanks.

- My follow up last week with TTB was answered with “we are still in our 43 day review time”. My follow up yesterday was answered with “we are still in our 81 day review time”.

I hate government. But I’ll call every Monday until I know something.

- Found a house plan the wife approves of to downsize. People dream of bigger and nicer when it comes to a home. No thanks!

This 2 year(about to be 3year) experiment showed me what I already knew. I’m a small simple minded fellow and no need to pretend I’m something else.

- Raspberries are becoming my favorite fruit. Perfect with French toast, by far my favorite for a homemade parfait and great for a jam to spread on biscuits.

- Lumber prices on the rise.

- Trilly Donovan is such a fascinating phenomenon.

- Immaculate Grid is a curiosity for me. I've watched more basketball than baseball during my life, but I'm terrible at the NBA version. The MLB version, for some reason, comes a bit easier. Though I still rarely complete the grid.

- Tried to watch "Godfather II" last night with the oldest. She loved the first one, but she's right...the second one is really, really slow. Still an all-time great, but you really have to commit to it.

- The Trentyn Flowers news is just further confirmation that unless you're a collector, it's utterly ridiculous to buy any print CBB (or CFB) preview magazine ever again. They're dated by the time they hit the newsstand.

- Entering the last year of my 40's and sending my kid off to the college in the same week isn't doing wonders for ol' KL's mood this week.

DM me about this. I may or may not have an insider at TTB that may or may not live in my house.

Dear Gyero:

There's an older couple (late 60's) who live a few houses down the back alley from me. They've always been relatively private, never going out of the way to say hello, and frankly the only interaction I've had is the man yelling at me for driving too fast in the alley (I was going about 10 mph).

They have a relatively large dog and every day they walk it off leash to let it piss and **** in the yard of the house behind me (their neighbors yard). I've seen the dog in my yard several times, but when I came home this morning the dog was off leash, two feet away from our vegetable garden with the old bag just standing in the alley letting it do its business in my yard.

I went off on the lady this morning and told her to never have her dog step foot in my yard again. There are like 50 acres of common area within 25 yards of my house, and another area directly in front of her house as well.

I ask you oh wise Gyero, did I handle this situation properly? Or should I have Rogue go strangle her?

Sincerely,

Crazed in the Commons

-as long as she's collecting the turd(s) she's fine...if not hand her a kroger bag, if she balks then you can get pissy.
See, I disagree with this take. I'm fine with anybody walking their dog on the sidewalk and it goes in my yard. You can't control that. This lady walks her dog to the end of the alley (where I live), and waits for it go. This is an every day thing. So her belief is that my yard and the yard behind me is her dog's every day bathroom.

Yep. Cleaning it up is key. Now, if they're eating my garden....

Immaculate grid, Daily Dozen, Wordle, Quordle, Globle, all addicting. I'm told, for the olds, which I am, it is great to keep the mind sharp. At least that is what I am telling myself.

Godfather II is slow. I just don't appreciate a lot of the early Italy parts.

Downsizing sounds great but requires moving closer to the city, in my case, and not cheaper.

Just start taking your bathroom breaks in her yard.

Lexington has a leash law....call animal control and have them wait on her.

Who owns the alley? We need a pic of the alley.

-I hate to feed the beast anymore than I have to but Amazon just delivers. Right now waiting on two different items, bought last week off specific websites, and don't even have a shipping confirmation yet. Meanwhile, I can get just about anything off Amazon in less than 24 hours. Plus, I just select Thursday delivery and end up getting most of our movie rentals comped.

-Coffee. The best.

-If someone allows their dog to piss on your garden, that would piss me right off. I think I'm reading that right. However, when you decide to move into a faux-utopia this is what you're signing up for. Old dudes trying to fight young girls, lots of swinging, and dog pissing old ladies.

-Seems to me that canceling a few bus routes is much more sensible than shutting down an entire metropolitan school district. I've seen a few, because a majority of the people in the comments are actually on the same page, say this is a community problem to figure out. Lol, false. This is mismanagement by a bunch of people that have no business being in their current positions.

-3rd grade too early to start reading Harry Potter with each night?

-Tell you what, 2 months off kid sports during the summer is the way to go. All about to fire back up again but was really nice having no commitments for those open months.
