Let's back it up to your previous post.

You said you think he went into it knowing he probably wouldn't want to do anything that day after the procedure.
He scheduled it for a day with a big event.

If he knew he wouldn't feel up to doing anything--and scheduled it for a day when Senior day was scheduled--then he wanted to miss senior day.

You can't have it both ways. He can't have gone into this knowing he wouldn't have felt up to doing something but also chose to do it on a day when there was something to consider.

To believe it, you're being asked to buy 1 of I believe 2 excuses

A. No one realized. Between all of the assistants, Cal, even Wheeler's family--someone would have surely pointed out this is senior night.

B. There was no flexibility in the schedule. As I said before, I can't buy this as a physician. If it's minor, it could have taken place any of the other 4 weekdays. The argument about "Well some surgeons only operate on certain days" that's fine and good--most surgeons operate more than 1 day a week.

We don't know what "minor" is in regards to Cals coach speak. Nobody knows what this procedure was, or where It was. Maybe it was lower body and it needed to get done so he can maybe play in the tournament.

I do think, and said as much, that I'm sure Wheeler isn't overly excited about senior night. I don't think he's itching to attend. Maybe it was just good timing.

I guess I don't think this is some big grand plan. I think a procedure was needed and this was some of the days that worked. Wheeler wasn't going to not do it because of senior day.

One thing CCC better do if he is here next season. He better get a talented, experienced PG out of the portal along with two bigs that are 6’8-6’10 and weigh above 230. This is is a must. He has to quit worrying about freshmen not starting and hurting their feelings. This trying to get them to the NBA asap has to end now. He is coach for UK, not nba teams. Bring in some experience so you can nurture the freshmen along. We shall see. Hopefully we will have a new coach that will do this.

For those of you saying you feel bad for Wheeler due to fan treatment….it’s never been about Wheeler, it’s all been about Cal and his idiocy when I comes to line ups and playing the guys who should be playing. Equally, if that in turn makes Wheeler feel bad, or makes him sad, or gets him upset to the point where he has to avoid a home crowd……kid needs to toughen up or just hang up the sneakers regardless. It’s the real world out there, not marshmallow land.

Yeah that's stupid.He has been a starter his whole time through his college days and I think it's likely he won't play until he has that again.I think Cal will help him transfer and get around the rule about not doing it twice by talking up his injuries.

this is just how I see things...when we lost to Arkansas and Georgia I saw him on the TV screen laughing it up with minimal time left in the game when it was apparent we were beat....that was it for me right there



...if I were coaching that would have been it.would have never played another second on my team...I have been done with him since. Does that make me judgemental...you are damn right it does...you guys can bash away at me....but I have no desire to see that kid even on the bench from this second forward

Embarrassing doesn't even begin to describe that. It was embarrassing enough to be booed just going to the scorer's table in his last game. That's what he will remember about Kentucky, unfortunately.

The good news for some of our fans, they won't have to fake like they appreciate him when he was to be introduced for senior night.

No way he would have been booed on senior night. There have been many players that received standing ovations that contributed absolutely nothing to their UK team except being a member of it. For those that have to pretend , on senior night, to appreciate a kid that has worked hard during his time here and, represented the team well, you are not a fan.

I have no information on this subject, but I can tell you from experience that many athletes at the very end of their careers that didn’t quite measure up, tend to mail it in, or kinda halfway quit.

Not uncommon. 360,000 of us went pro in something other than sports.

Absolutely spot on here. It’s been quite obvious to some of us this Wheeler situation hasn’t been at ALL what’s been put out there. Wheeler was destroying the chemistry of this team and it was blatantly obvious to a lot of us on here. When he played - we sucked. When he didn’t - we looked great. Wasn’t that hard to figure out.
Wheeler never belonged here from day one. He’s not got anywhere near the size or the talent to play point guard in the SEC. He’d barely be an adequate guard at WKU.
I don’t wish the kid any ill will at at, personally, but I believe, and surely hope, he never plays another possession in a UK uniform.

Wheeler played 25 minutes and I never heard a boo when he had the ball. Silly to push this on UK fans somehow. Cal is a known liar when it comes to injuries/player antics off the court....UK fans don't deserve to have this nonsense put on them
