Got booed at KU gamePure ********.He wouldn't be booed on senior night.
You think it was confined to just this board? How naïve. What about his social media? What about him being booed at Rupp?Again--random internet dudes posting on a message board aren't bad treatment.
He has killed us in games. That's not bad treatment.
Let's back it up to your previous post.
You said you think he went into it knowing he probably wouldn't want to do anything that day after the procedure.
He scheduled it for a day with a big event.
If he knew he wouldn't feel up to doing anything--and scheduled it for a day when Senior day was scheduled--then he wanted to miss senior day.
You can't have it both ways. He can't have gone into this knowing he wouldn't have felt up to doing something but also chose to do it on a day when there was something to consider.
To believe it, you're being asked to buy 1 of I believe 2 excuses
A. No one realized. Between all of the assistants, Cal, even Wheeler's family--someone would have surely pointed out this is senior night.
B. There was no flexibility in the schedule. As I said before, I can't buy this as a physician. If it's minor, it could have taken place any of the other 4 weekdays. The argument about "Well some surgeons only operate on certain days" that's fine and good--most surgeons operate more than 1 day a week.
mods i wish you would delete this kind of nonsense that has no place for that kind of crap.Makes me wonder if he just quit on the team
Except people who were critical of him were calling him derogatory names. Why do that if it was about Cal?For those of you saying you feel bad for Wheeler due to fan treatment….it’s never been about Wheeler, it’s all been about Cal and his idiocy when I comes to line ups and playing the guys who should be playing. Equally, if that in turn makes Wheeler feel bad, or makes him sad, or gets him upset to the point where he has to avoid a home crowd……kid needs to toughen up or just hang up the sneakers regardless. It’s the real world out there, not marshmallow land.
why you keep saying ccc?One thing CCC better do if he is here next season. He better get a talented, experienced PG out of the portal along with two bigs that are 6’8-6’10 and weigh above 230. This is is a must. He has to quit worrying about freshmen not starting and hurting their feelings. This trying to get them to the NBA asap has to end now. He is coach for UK, not nba teams. Bring in some experience so you can nurture the freshmen along. We shall see. Hopefully we will have a new coach that will do this.
ccc has thrown kids under the bus all year, why is wheeler so specialYeah he's quit but with that attitude it's for the best.I respect Cal for protecting him because throwing him under the bus gets us nothing.Next man up.
I don’t remember which game it was, but I remember the crowd booing when SW was subbing in, but it was clearly directed at Cal for his decision. At least best I can remember.
Never saw any derogatory names? On this board?Except people who were critical of him were calling him derogatory names. Why do that if it was about Cal?
Well more than half. The SEC tourney is UK.Half of Nashville crowds for the secT will be UK fans. After that no way cal inserts him into an ncaaT game having not played in weeks and his last play costing us.
And the other part “to wheeler” that’s the problem wheeler is about wheeler. Or he would toughen up and move past it and accept spot minutes.
I for one don't give a dang about Sahvir Wheeler playing. The point guard of the team that lost in the first round can kick rocks. Kick a big rock and stub your toe. Claim that as an injury too.
At last count..... he lost at least four games this year by himself. Good luck in Iran or china or Guatemala. Peace
Yep. I was wondering why you kept pointing out that his foot was in a boot when this was said to be "unrelated to the ankle."Wait, I want to adjust my stance here.. I didn't see the "NOT related to ankle" piece.. I missed that.
So this is a little more weird because I thought this could still be his ankle, admittedly.
Yeah ... I gotta say this post is not a good look.I for one don't give a dang about Sahvir Wheeler playing. The point guard of the team that lost in the first round can kick rocks. Kick a big rock and stub your toe. Claim that as an injury too.

not going to happen, especially next year is is lastOne thing CCC better do if he is here next season. Yeah that's stupid. He has been a starter his whole time through his college days and I think it's likely he won't play until he has that again.I think Cal will help him transfer and get around the rule about not doing it twice by talking up his injuries.See a lot of people online blaming the fans for wheeler nor participating In the senior day stuff, which is BS, fans are a easy target but wish wheeler the best of luck with whatever happens for him next
Yep. I was wondering why you kept pointing out that his foot was in a boot when this was said to be "unrelated to the ankle."
You gotta admit, it's pretty bizarre.
Well I stand corrected, would have been at least one boo.this is just how I see things...when we lost to Arkansas and Georgia I saw him on the TV screen laughing it up with minimal time left in the game when it was apparent we were beat....that was it for me right there
...if I were coaching that would have been it.would have never played another second on my team...I have been done with him since. Does that make me judgemental...you are damn right it does...you guys can bash away at me....but I have no desire to see that kid even on the bench from this second forward
Odd that he can't even participate in the ceremonies. But they may just be saving him from the boos that might come from our "fans" that have run him off.
I don't look for him to play again here or return next year. It's a shame.
Sad isnt it. Kid played his heart out good or bad and we forget about most of the good ones.Well, let's see, last time he walked onto the Rupp Arena floor, he got booed. Maybe he doesn't want to risk it. Can you imagine being the first player in UK history to be booed on Senior Night? Embarrassing doesn't even begin to describe that. It was embarrassing enough to be booed just going to the scorer's table in his last game. That's what he will remember about Kentucky, unfortunately.
The good news for some of our fans, they won't have to fake like they appreciate him when he was to be introduced for senior night.
I said it when last season ended and again this season after we lost to msu. Wheeler will be the most maligned player during Cals tenure and perhaps all time even surpassing Saul.Sad isnt it. Kid played his heart out good or bad and we forget about most of the good ones.
No its the fans fault if they treated him bad presonally just for not doing better when they're supposed to be fans of his as part of the team. Or are we just fans of the ones who do well and even for those ONLY when they do well. Dont thing he quit on the team at all, but I don think his spirit took a big hit from the fan reaction to his struggles. No question.Yep, you’re right. It’s the fans fault he lost his role and got butthurt about it.
No way he would have been booed on senior night. There have been many players that received standing ovations that contributed absolutely nothing to their UK team except being a member of it. For those that have to pretend , on senior night, to appreciate a kid that has worked hard during his time here and, represented the team well, you are not a fan.Well, let's see, last time he walked onto the Rupp Arena floor, he got booed. Maybe he doesn't want to risk it. Can you imagine being the first player in UK history to be booed on Senior Night? Embarrassing doesn't even begin to describe that. I disagree 100% …. People venting on here or in game threads are not going to react to this young man on senior night … our fan base is far classier than you are giving credit to … yeah it gets harsh on here — it’s a message board .You're wrong. Go back and look at the threads. He was called names repeatedly and spoken about very badly. He'd get into the game and someone would immediately post a thread about how he was killing us.
If no one can speculate without your approval, we may as well shut the board down. We have every right to speculate. Especially after the Sharpe saga, and Cal lying all semester about the situation.mods i wish you would delete this kind of nonsense that has no place for that kind of crap.
Couldn’t he come back with a COVID year anyway? Not certain Dillingham ever actually makes it to campus, and having a bench is nice.
I don't think he will but it certainly opens the door a bit.
Yea, all our older guys have an extra year if they want it.Couldn’t he come back with a COVID year anyway?
Not that I would want/expect him to, but I thought anyone on roster this year could return.
No Mr. Rocket Scientist. I know that the medical people can’t say anything. But Wheeler knows and if you don’t think he’s told his friends, acquaintances, etc etc and one of them hasn’t said something then you’re wrong. People always tell people so called ‘secrets’ and tell them not to say anything and the first thing they do is repeat the process and so on. You must live under a rock or else you’re the most naïve person on the planet. SMDH.So,would you expect that your doctor gives out your medical records and diagnosis to someone that's not affiliated with you, that you don't want them to know? So why aspect that should know what's going on with Wheeler? SMH!🫢
Absolutely spot on here. It’s been quite obvious to some of us this Wheeler situation hasn’t been at ALL what’s been put out there. Wheeler was destroying the chemistry of this team and it was blatantly obvious to a lot of us on here. When he played - we sucked. When he didn’t - we looked great. Wasn’t that hard to figure out. This is so obviously Wheeler being asshurt about losing his role and Cal trying to protect him so he will have a better shot at playing somewhere decent next year. It’s never what it appears to be with Cal.
Why what’s up with Dillingham? Not certain Dillingham ever actually makes it to campus, and having a bench is nice.
I don't think he will but it certainly opens the door a bit.
Here is the repay of UK-UF game....his last game action for UK.Well, let's see, last time he walked onto the Rupp Arena floor, he got booed. Maybe he doesn't want to risk it.
