They’ve done this all season. I won’t disagree that maybe someone should have realized that it looks insensitive now and changed up the intro ritual, but to act like they just now did this to mock the controversy is out of context.
They probably should have never been doing it but someone needed to step in and stop that. The context makes it a little better but not much.

I really wish a gun would of dropped out of his shorts. Just saw where someone informed Oats about it said it would be stopped. I absolutely can’t stand Miller he must be a total jerk. After you bring a gun and a lady is killed with it. You do things like this. Hope her son and mom get a LOT of his paychecks!!

If they've done it all season....then Oats claims he didn't know about it?!

He's a lying scumbag.

And now the Miller stuff is a story on NBC news. It's going national.
Oats is selling his soul.

Based on recent events, perhaps they should have had security come out and pat him down as well? Maybe add a metal detector at the scorers table that you have to pass thru before you can check into the game?

These players are just trying to help out!

Jay Bilas said they have handled this as well as possible. About as well as he handled falsely accusing the BYU volleyball team of racism.

This is sickening!!!!

Literally hope Miller breaks his leg..

I have never said this about a player, but the way he and Alabama are handling this makes me root for a season ending injury.

He doesn’t deserve to play.

I'm sure there are plenty more who QUIETLY feel the same way, but I don't think I'd say it out loud or put it in print...................you know, if I were one who felt that way.

I'm not one to shy away from saying exactly what's on my mind.. And you know exactly what would happen if it was a UK player.. All dude had do was tell his buddy **** off he wasn't coming to where it happened.. Now a young lsdy is dead.. And didn't she have a lil girl? Zero tolerance for that kind ********..

5 year old son. I agree with you about if it had happened here - or most places I would like to think. All this bullish*t about saying he didn't know the gun was in the car and then they have the text message where he was asked to bring said gun. His lawyer says he didn't see the text - yeah right, what college kid doesn't have their phone in their hand 95% of the time ? And if he didn't know the gun was in the car and he didn't see the text, I guess it was just a big coincidence Miller just happened to drive up where the gun was needed at 2:00 am

Oates keeps talking about the team taking it seriously. If they have been doing a pat down during intros all season it should have stopped the day one of their players used a gun to kill someone. If they were taking it seriously.

This just shows you how many people are desensitised to what is right or wrong in this society. They think it’s cool and winning is all that matters. Alabama is the Miami of the 80’s, no morals, no class, to bad the leadership has bought in to thug culture. I’ll never look at them the same again. Hopefully this comes back to hurt their program in a big way.

An innocent black woman was murdered. Where is BLM???
We all know the answer to that…
They'll tell you point blank.

BLM isn't concerned about all black deaths. Only those that happen at the hands of white people and/or police.

There was a situation in Arizona a year or two back: A black girl was going to stab another black girl. The cop yelled multiple times for her to put the knife down. Then he shot and killed her--saving the innocent black girl.

The actual outrage was that a white cop killed a black girl. As if they'd be more ok if the other black girl had been murdered--because that was at the hands of a black person.

I say Oats would let them but the gun manufacturers would have more sense than Oats or that whole administration!!
Oats in the post game said he was unaware of it before the game. I call ******** and his excuses are getting old now.

Not one mention about the girl who was murdered. Miller brought the gun to his friend.

Anyone who defends Miller will explain how the world is becoming more evil by the day. It's sickening how Oats keeps defending thugs and Miller was an accessory to murder. If my best friend asked me to bring him a gun, I would be asking why. This whole thing is a cover up.

Alabama's president hasn't commented at all nor spoke out against this. Alabama has pretty much showed it's true colors. Elevate a criminal because they want to win. Without Miller, Oats knows Alabama chances of winning would be slim without him.

I gurantee you if Miller had been White, he would have been expelled, arrested, and thrown in prison for the rest of his life. I'm sure BLM would burn the city down with the help of Antifa. These two organizations should be labeled as domestic terrorist.

Byrn the Bama AD explained Miller was going to pick the guy up that the gun belonged to. Said Miller was innocent. He left out that he texted Miller to bring his gun some guy was disrespectful to them. The AD is a piece of trash also!!

Damn right! The AD has shown no respect to the family who lost their child. Why hasn't the NCAA addressed this?

Of all the stupid stuff I’ve seen from athletics over the years this has to be right at the top.

Not one ounce of common decency.

Just poking fun of the whole situation.

Everyone involved should be suspended.

That’s insanely classless. Somebody was freakin murdered.
Bingo…..sums up society these days. Sad for my grandkids. That’s about as classless a move as I’ve ever seen. If I’m the coach, I sip both of those players. Damn do people stand for nothing anymore? A poor girl is dead and they’re making a joke about it. I despise Bama.

If you guys play Bama, I will be the biggest Kentucky fan in the world that day. I know South Carolina can’t beat them, but I hope you get to play them again. And I hope you wipe Miller’s nose on the court.

The NCAA isn’t going to address this. Alabama has been one of the most corrupt athletic programs in history and has routinely been under Nick Saban but the NCAA does nothing to them. You think they’re gonna do anything for this?

You make a good point. Mark Emmert needs to pressured by the media and the MSM. Yet, it will never happen because they're corrupt as hell. Miller should have been arrested as an accessory after his texts revealed he was the one who gave his friend the gun which was used to murder her.

I haven't seen anyone from Alabama reach out to the victim's family. As of right now, I hope Alabama gets sued into oblivion. And Miller should also be sued for giving his friend the gun. This dark cloud will hang over Alabama forever.

I'm disgusted with the NCAA being silent. It's like they only care about the money the tourney brings in.

If Miller had been White, he would have been arrested and the BLM scumbag's would be burning it down. BLM can rot in hell
