Wheeler did flop but how in hell do we get a tech flop given the eons of flops we endured

I’m not a wheeler hater but damn I hate flopping. It was a bad look
I didn’t even know you could get a tech for it it’s happened so many times against us
Any block/charge call the refs just flip a coin, they have no consistency.
UCLA gave them plenty of chances to get back in the game and the offense was utter crap! Guys jacking up shots. No offense. Played like they are coached.
I’d be fine with the flop if the play was called dead at that point as the shooter hadn’t started his shot motion. But you can’t wait til he scores and then call the flop TOO.
It was 100% a flop. The technical was the right call and whoever taught or told him to do that crap should be fired.
That was a flop. He started falling before that Jacquez even put this second foot down. That was about as blatant as they get FWIW

That wasn't a flop. He got hit by a guy that is a foot taller than him and probably has 40 lbs on him. Tell ya what...go find someone measuring that size compared to you and see what happens.

Glad to see the call. Needs to be done more in the college game. By the way, Wheeler got caught on a bad switch two possessions in a row. A classic Cal weakness.

I really don't think it was that bad. The contact was there, and the offensive player clearly has 6 inches on him and likely 20 to 30lbs.
Did Wheeler sell it? Sure. But I didn't think it was that bad.
A BAD flop is when a player falls when he THINKS he's about to get touched, but doesn't.
Either way, if you call that, then you better call it when it happens to us, because I've seen that "flop" happen every game with our opponent.

Look, my point is a flop is when there is no contact. Think the kid at Louisville or Grayson Allen. Again, Wheeler got bumped, hitz whatever you want to call it...he tried to sell it. He didn't act like he got shot. It should have been a no call or offensive...JJ initiated contact.

Meh not clicking. They’ve said this for at least 3 seasons now.
I think they changed the rule this year where it’s an automatic technical. No warnings anymore.
