Hard to say. The door has been opened now though. And if Cal let’s it happen again, Mitch will be highly pressured to tell Cal to hit the road.
that is where you and i differ
i think that door quickly closed
just like most successful coaches Cal an ego
i highly doubt that he ever let's another recruit and their posse lie to him like all involved with Sharpe did

I think he picks UK but the question is will he reclass ? I am hoping he will reclass but from what I have read I am doubtful he will.

I’m confident he will it seems like everyone has him coming here and he liked a BR hoops post asking if it’s possible that he would team up with DJ Wagner at Kentucky . He was quoted as saying Chin told him he won’t lose him this time
Is he comparable to a previous Cal PG? I have not really been too invested lately in recruiting.

Is it a either or situation with him and Wagner? Would love to have another Fox and Monk backcourt duo.

He’s going to play college guys. Chill out. He said so himself that the more he shows out and the better the team does, the better his stock will be. He wasn’t talking about Peach Jam. I still hope he commits and reclasses. We desperately need him.

Wasn't the whole reclassification talk part of the reason he dropped NCST commitment?

I thought I read where he absolutely doesn't want to reclassify.

That means Wagner is a definite lock to go elsewhere (UL) if he won’t or doesn’t reclass.
I am confident Dillingham will choose UK. At this point, I am fairly confident Wagner is going to UL but not totally convinced of that yet.

Dillingham will be the better defender. Dillingham is more of a team oriented lead guard. Wagner is probably the more aggressive scorer, which can cut both ways when you have other alpha scorers on your team. Both players will be effective perimeter scorers and both can penetrate the lane.

IMO Reed Sheppard is underrated. He isn't Wagner, but he will be a very good player.

We need bigs.

Not really . He reminds me of a right handed Brandon Jennings in terms of his swagger but Rob seems to be more efficient. I’ve heard someone compare him to Darius Garland .

I don’t have any type of connections but I don’t think this an either or situation with Wagner . They both can play together. Watching them in AAU and neither one of them has been the primary PG for their team . Both guys have played off of the ball. If Wagner ends up in Louisville I don’t think us going after Rob had anything to do with it and I don’t think they will give up on Wagner after Rob commits on Friday.

Yeah, apparently they were pressuring him big time to reclass and he didn’t like that. I know jack about NC States roster but he might not have wanted to reclass and have to carry an entire ****** team on his shoulders.

Reclassifying to UK might make more sense but who knows? As long as he plays for UK, that’s all that matters I reckon.

Man, I wanted Brandon Jennings so freaking bad when he was being recruited. That’s when I really got heavily involved in recruiting and his mixtapes were Wall-esqe, feel me? I was pissed when he committed to Zona. Turns out, it all worked out best for everybody but Jennings and Arizona. Lol

0 championships (Zero). Love those guys but reclassifying is garbage.
Some of them still hung banners and all of them gave us absolutely awesome moments that I would never take back.

For example:

Noel- The game where he was blocking EVERYTHING with 4 fouls.
Murray- Dude was a joy to watch. Plus the Blue Arrow or whatever it was called.
KAT- final four

can’t remember who else you said.

Love KAT. Just would like to see re-classifying banned across the board for all schools. Killing the game IMO.
I agree. I don’t necessarily think it’s good for the game but I’m against anything that will push kids to other avenues instead of college ball. Like those little semi pro leagues or whatever. I want the best players playing in college, for at least a year. If you ban the whole reclass thing, they will still do it but play ball else where other than college.

Yeah. It's a mess. I will cheer for a reclassifier that comes to UK as hard as anybody, just feel a bit dirty doing it. lol

Nerlens Noel did. A lot of time when guys "reclass" they are just returning to the original class they would've/should've been in. But sometimes they are truly young.

I'll give you this--The DeAndre Williams kid returning to Memphis is same age as Devin Booker. Williams is still in CBB and Booker as we know was 1 and done in '15. Kevin Knox was 17 when he played most of year at UK, turned 18 while in FR year.

Bro, quit riding my coattails. I already said that like .3 seconds before you bro. Duhhh

Also, I forgot how young Knox was. Speaking of Knox, anything on the younger Knox and the Kitty Cats?

Edit 2: still been super super busy. Still planning on reaching out soon!

Yeah I guess I meant the ones reclassifying to go to college a year early when they should still be in High School (Askew). That's the stuff I'd like to see get stopped. Go overseas or wherever, but not college IMO.

It's not going away because the faster the top guys can get through CBB and go to the NBA...they will be off. I agree that we need to bring back the Straight to NBA for the top prospects in HS and then rest go to CBB--I'd eliminate the G-League Option altogether, it's an embarrassment. It's going to get young players who are sent down to learn to play that enter the Draft, but the option now is painful for the guys who don't make it. They can't go back and play in CBB and aren't making enough $ to make it. NIL is a savior for CBB and has proven to be to this point. It's kicking the living snot out of G-League head to head.

Ima ruffle some feathers here but DJ and dilly would be better than fox and monk. They also would have a better surrounding class than just bam tho so that helps
It would be a great duo....but different. Few come into CBB like Fox/Monk--but agree with the latter part of your take, think they'd have a far superior supporting cast around them.

Jaden hardy literally lost millions by going to the g league. He goes to college at ucla or Uk probably still top 15 draft pick. Now he’s praying for late late 1st rd

Me too him and Wall always get mentioned for best mixtapes of all time . I thought he would have lasted longer in the NBA but that Achilles tear seems to have finished him . He’s a fashion designer now.
