The calls for Rondo to be considered are funny to me. He's an active NBA player who has said multiple times this year he wants to play at least one more season.

It is to high school kids who these coaches are recruiting. And it is when you look at every member of Duke's coaching staff being under 34 years old.
In terms of assistant coaching, 48 is not young. Jai Lucas was 33 as a comparison…that’s a young assistant.
As much as it pains me personally to say, it is basically middle aged and thirty years older than the target audience, much more a parent's age than an older brother or that young and fun uncle even.
It ain't old but young has done pretty much slipped away unless you are talking for the US Senate (though long ago eligible), collecting Social Security, or moving into a retirement community.
