- After some unease on my part, seems my decision to root for Carolina over Duke was the correct one. My main motivation was thinking Carolina had a poorer shot to win the whole shabang. Also, I was tired of the K horseshit.

- Really the F4 semi W is one of the most inconsequential historically. People remember the F4 appearance but not so much the runner-up except in bad ways.

- I’m still not completely sold on Hubert. There have been a lot of suspect coaches whose teams got hot and made a run - Ollie, Hewitt, O’Brien, Smart, etc.

- If there’s one thing the Kansas victory proves is the value in college basketball of continuing to knock on the door. It’s a game of bounces and luck. Keep putting yourself in position and like golf, eventually you’ll win. That’s why although annoying, I wasn’t alarmed by our Elite 8 losses. One bounce, and we beat UNC in 2017 and Auburn in 2019 and possibly grab titles. Right now, it’s completely different. We’re not close and I am alarmed.

- I’m fed up with Cal’s obstinance and our lopsided rosters (a concern going into next season) but if you have talented players, there’s always an opportunity to turn it around.

-Winning Time Ep:3 & 4 had some heavy relevance for UK fans. Riley makes his entrance, few mentions of the Texas Western Game, and even a Louie Dampier reference. However, the most relevant was Jack McKinney telling Jerry West his offense was outdated because he would methodically dribble down the court and feed the post every possession. Mind you, this was 1979.

That's turning into a great show.

-36 and snow for coach pitch Saturday should be fun.

-I hope this is Winter's last stand.

-Little man wants to get stronger so I got him a few 3-5Lb dumbells and medicine balls. He's done a couple hour+ workouts(legit workouts tho) and just walks around flexing all the time. Lol.

-Hubert is going to be trash. All that run did was make it more difficult to can his *** in year 3.

The anti-Hubert bias on here is gold. Gold, Jerry....gold. The fact remains he turned around a suspect offense by relying on his best 5-6, period. The local coach here could stand to take lessons given his suspect coaching exploits during his tenure here. Oh wait, you mean 5 in and 5 out doesn't work? He may be NIT next year, or go 9-16 or maybe even get swallowed up by a 15 seed.....time will tell. But "I like my coach" and that was a fun ride....weekend after weekend.

The Peacocks send UK a gift card to Applebees yet? Hell, given 3 of their best players are now on to bigger and better things, and their coach is now big time, it's the least they could do. Maybe even a jelly of the month club to Cal.

Hard to believe next March it will be 4 years since UK's last tourney win. $9M goes a long way.

Hey Hank....the "coolest" player to ever don a sports uni on UK's campus is Sonny Collins and that isn't debatable. Levis seems like a good kid but an avg college QB doesn't enter that debate, ever, horse or no horse.

I could not help thinking about Geese when Jack McKinney started their practice.

It is interesting how they are portraying some of the guys. They do not make Riley out to be the cool guy I have always envisioned him as being. Also I thought that Jerry West was a cool old man and they portray him as a unsure of himself quick tempered loose cannon.

Brady called it with Mike Davis 2.0

Just like IU, your Davis will fill you with false hope following a magical run to the title game early in his tenure with the previous HoF coach's players. This will be followed with years of mediocrity and a run of coaches who will continue to fail to meet expectations.

Ultimately, kids who are born now will have no memory of a great UNC team once they reach adulthood. Much like K, that was UNC's last hoorah. Hope you enjoyed it. Keep keeping it in the family!

Biscuit Belly is trash, man.

Had it when they first opened a couple years ago and was underwhelmed, then gave it a 2nd chance over the weekend. How can that be your name, yet your biscuit is nearly inedible? It's truly bizarre to me. It's just a weird, overly dense, crumbly mess; completely devoid of any flavor whatsover.

Lines out the door, ALWAYS….brilliant marketing goes a long way I guess.


Bar Vetti’s new spot, on the other hand, is dope – as is the expanded menu. Lobster Pappardelle was fire.

We deserve that entire post. How some of you can make fun of Hubert at this point in our Kentucky fandom is beyond me.

this coming from someone who is team Century and WCC to the fullest when it comes to North Carolina.

Biscuits are fine. They get a little too much attention. The best biscuit in the world is fine. That being said, I've gotten into the habit of making them pretty much every Saturday morning because the kids love them. Trying to perfect them and I've gotten pretty dang good. Put my own spin on the Sugar Spun Run recipe. They're fine.

Baseball practice is better than the game itself. I could take/hit infield and take/throw BP all day. A few Instagram dudes have figured out how to make money with it. Professional Baseball Practicers. Social media, man.

Cal needs to lock up Sharpe and Tshiebwe or it's gonna be hard for me to give a ****. Ain't happenin' tho.

STFU with the “we deserve” talk. What the hell does that even mean. They went on a miracle run then couldn’t capitalize. At least we capitalized with Tubby and UConn with Ollie. There’s countless examples of hot runs by young coaches - even with UNC right before Roy. A UNC fan born and raised in Ky with literally no UNC connections? FOH

Annual guys trip to Lexington this weekend. Ruby’s Friday, Keeneland Saturday, I’m sure the Paddock all other times. Just checked the forecast for Keeneland: :mad:. WTF. Whatever, guess I’ll just be drunk and away from my family. Not stealing my joy after this ****** last month.
